Very cheap quality. Got up just before breakfast closed and the owner clerk did not even was to let me get some OJ Room was very shabby plugs and light fixtures did not work. Dirty looking like a cheap hooker motel. This is not the quality of the Howard Johnson brand.

Let's just say that it isn't the Taj Mahal but budgetarily friendly. The room was clean and had everything you needed for a short stay (but you wouldn't want to live there). The breakfast was ample---cereals, waffles, muffins, juice, coffee----but if you got down to the breakfast room after 8 am, supplies were almost out. However, they were gratiously replaced upon request. The staff was awesome---printed out our boarding passes, called the airport shuttle/taxi as needed, and made every effo... Read more

To Whom It May Concern: We are so glad that you sent this email. We were totally embarrassed to have my family stay in this motel, yes a motel and not a hotel. When we pulled in to check in we noticed that many of the doors to the rooms where open and it turns out that the carpets were shampooed and were still somewhat wet. Our room and the two that we booked were smelly and offended us. I have pictures of how disgusting the corners in the room and bathroom were if you are interested in seei... Read more

So this was our hotel move from La Quinta in PHX (who screwed me out of A LOT of money) BUT you definitely don't want their free breakfast that's stale. Not to mention the fact that a shirt of mine disappeared after the maids cleaned the room but they "never saw it". Plus we couldn't enjoy the pool bc nobody bothered to mention we'd be basically trapped in our room for 2 days bc nobody mentioned they planned to repair sidewalks or lay tar in the parking lot. However it's a good stay if you just... Read more

The bed was comfortable but the orange cloth layed on the bed was very dirty, the Towels were very old and worn out. On the sink and boathroom floor there was alot of hair of the previous person who had used the room. Breakfast was the worse i have ever come across and there was no sugar only sweetners, if you visit this place don't bother to go for breakfast. The receptionist who checked me in was very fantastic. I will not visit the place again its not worthy my 75dollars.

Convenient location. Run down, primarily clean, not everything worked. They were upgrading their cable system 'the next week.' Not sure I'd take a dip in the pool. That said, it was good for the price, close to the airport, and beds were comfortable.

It was a lackluster grungy hotel. The Super 8 Motel I stayed at under the Wyndham name in MO was much nicer which I found surprising.

The property is rather old and could use some upgrades and redecorating. On the other hand, the rooms are clean and feel safe, The park and ride service to Sky Harbor Airport is well managed. All in all, I find it a very acceptable place to stay for a night

Got stuck overnight while flying through Phoenix. This hotel is a 7 minute drive from airport and has a free shuttle. The room is clean and bed was super comfortable! I was not able to use the pool, but it looks small but nice. There aren't any restaurants or bars within walking distance, but if you plan to just order in and sleep this is a good option!

I slept like a baby the bed was very , very nice. The shower was great. The food was available to buy was nice. Breakfast I am sure would have been nice if I had gotten up earlier to eat it. The only thing I did not like was no pay tv I hate commercials. but other then that it was a very enjoyable experience. Thank you Ron

Im not a picky traveler, I just want a comfy, clean room and this hotel had that! Staff was friendly at check in, even showed us videos of the dust storms and microburst showers from the day before! Bathroom was big, had micro fridge and microwave! Seperate sitting area w/ couch (pull out sofa) and table was nice! Room was a little out dated but again, i wanted clean, and it was! We only stayed 1 night as we were flying out next morning! Close to airport and easy to get to! With AC on , the outs... Read more

The room was a much older building but it was definitely kept clean and the staff was extremely helpful Breakfast was not "fancy" but was hot, fresh and more than plentiful. The best part, and the reason I would choose them again is that they have not discontinued their "Park and fly" amenity, as many others have begun to do. Though I did not use the pool I could see that it was clean and well kept. If I had any concern at all it would be the lack of an elevator. My stay before and after m... Read more

This is an old, tired place. I mentioned to the desk clerk that the curtains were too long. The air conditioning blows up under the curtain, not into the room. The only way to get it into the room is to keep the curtain open. As I was on the first floor, I wasn't thrilled about this. The clerk's response was that it has been like that for a few years. FIX IT!! It was nice that the free breakfast starts at 4 a.m but it was pretty mediocre. No fresh fruit, no yogurt, no eggs or meat. And there was... Read more

This is by far the worst hotel we have stayed in the last 40 years. We reserved the room a week in advance because we would arrive near mid-night on a flight from Hawaii. The room looked like it had not been updated for over 20 years. The sink had a large crack from one side to the other; the caulking around the mirror looked like it had been put on by a 3 year old; the toilet was not completely attached to the floor and moved when you sat on it; to flush the toilet it needed several attempts;... This was a package for staying overnight before vacation and leaving the car at the motel. The hotel was OK. The parking was in a fenced lot behind the hotel -- open gate, no lights, no signs, no personnel there. The proprietor assured us that they had security cameras for the lot. We were not given a note or something to indicate we were approved for parking there. The shuttle service to the airport was fine. We will not do this again.

We have stayed at this Howard Johnson before. The main attraction is low cost long term parking with free airport pickup. We were dissatisfied this time because of the noisy A/C. Should have complained/requested new room. Breakfast area was unkept and very minimal selection (fee sweet rolls, juice, coffee, and cereal). Will look for better alternative - probably will have to pay a bit more. On return trip, second room A/C worked much better.

Stayed here a week when I came to Phoenix to work. Desk staff was extremely kind. Very affordable - booked through Wyndham directly. Rooms are pretty basic. Very clean, and the AC blew freezing cold air. In June in Arizona, this is extremely necessary. I liked their suite. Pool in good condition and almost always empty.

I've been to the Howard Johnson in California so I read right pass these reviews and booked a room. I got there about 4pm; front desk lady was rude. I'll leave it at that. At least it was relatively cheap. The room was a pigsty, the bedside lights did not work. Apparently they had already sold my room despite that it was paid for already. It is only about 20 bucks more for a decent hotel. I am dying to know how come this hotel seemed to have 3 stars? By what rating system? This property could not pull down 1 star in any rating I have ever known.

If the carpet wasn't so disgusting and if the crevices weren't dirty, the room would have been fine. We left our socks on so we didn't actually touch the floor. The bathroom was clean. It didn't help that a hysterical and profane woman was having a hissy fit when we checked in, throwing the f bomb around screaming about roaches in her room. We saw no evidence of roaxhes or any other bug. The room was fine for what we needed. We checked in at midnight and checked out by 9:00. AM. I guess my reco... Read more

The people were friendly enough and I liked that I didn't have to worry about parking at the airport but the room we got was right next to the office and it was so small that is should be turned into a storage room also every time the night desk person took a smoke break it was right outside our window and we could hear every word being spoken so needless to say we didn't get any sleep.
