My husband and I arrived very late and were greeted by a very friendly night auditor (we were stupid tired, I don't remember her name but we chatted briefly about Michigan as she had the state as a pendant), who recommended the Waffle House next door as we had a very long, very stressful day. Definitely a better idea than pizza, she was 100% right. The following morning, I crept down to breakfast to grab something and bring I back for the hubby since he was still out cold. As soon as I walked ... Read more

Stayed just one night...up to a week free parking and airport shuttle. Older property but clean and friendly helpful staff. Close to many restaurants. The hotel also has a very complete breakfast offering. Would definitely come back, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

We have stayed here many times, and it is a really nice hotel. It is very clean, very quiet and I have never ran into a rude employee, there is just nothing in the area. If you don't mind driving to eat or do anything, this is the hotel. We are here on business, so it is perfect for us. Also from the airport, so very close. So again this is a wonderful hotel, just not a lot around (there is a waffle shop), but that is it. will we stay here again, yes, yes, yes.... it is perfect for what we ... Read more

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights in April. Upon a late check in (12am) we had a few hiccups that was out of our control and had to sort it out. The young lady on the desk was an amazing help. Her name is Amanda and in all our travels we have never had such an amazing experience with an employee. Note to owner she needs a massive pay rise. After we checked in we found the hotel very comfortable. our room was Clean and a good size, comfy bed, dark curtains and a good shower and clean bathro... Read more

We have stayed here before. When we need to fly, we use the hotel's airport parking and take their shuttle to and from the airport. Check in is always fast and correct. The room is clean and well maintained. Breakfast is a complete hot breakfast with pancakes, cooked eggs, turkey patties, biscuits and gravy, muffins, cereal, chocolate milk, etc. I appreciate they also have sugar free syrup for the pancakes. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. This hotel is great for the price.

Not much to do, around the hotel...that we could find (re. shopping, fast food, etc.) Hotel parking difficult to find No hot tub...or we didn't find it, but we didn't ask.

The hotel was beginning upgrades, which I will say is very much needed, but staff was over and beyond in accommodating our check in and stay. I want to give big kudos to Bree. She helped me with my early car rental return. Then when I returned to the hotel Warren (I believe that was his name) greeted me so warmly. He even baked cookies for me. Lol. If the hotel was completed with their renovations, I would give a 5. But I give staff a big 5!!!!

We stayed here for one night before heading to Sedona. I read the reviews before hand, and thought it sounded decent. I don't need fancy. I need clean. We stayed on the 5th floor, and the carpets in the hallway were stained every two feet. The room wasn't much better. There was a huge stain in the white curtain which I assume was from the air conditioner blowing on it. I was so skeeved the whole time I was there and couldn't wait to leave.

The hotel is conveniently just off of I-10, near PHX. But, it's in an industrial park area offf the east side of PHX, and a 5 mile drive to restaurants. Another Surprise on arrival, the hotel is under heavy remodel with the lobby in total dissaray. If I'd been advised of this at booking or before arrival, I'd have booked different IHG property. The property eill be very nice when completed, from the plans we saw. Having said this, the staff was totally friendly, courteous and helpful.

I really like the Holiday In Express hotel, and it was the reason that I booked this one. The problem is that the hotel is remodeling so you can imagine the mass that I faced when I arrived . At 8am they started working and making noise. When I tried to get the elevator, it was full of trash and I couldn't get into. If I had known that they were under construction I hadn't made made the reservation .

We brought a group of 21 college students to this hotel the night be fore flying home. The check-in process was extremely smooth and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The location is quiet despite the airport proximity...although at the time of our visit it was undergoing renovations. We needed to use a meeting room for the class and the staff went out of their way to help us. A special acknowledgement and thanks to Rosalen Salib and Warren.

There was pretty major renovation work going on during our stay in June. When we were there it was happening right next to the reception area, hence it didn't create a very pleasant impression on arrival. That said, the reception staff were very pleasant and the room itself was fine but nothing spectacular....altho the room rate was very reasonable, so we couldn't expect too much. Breakfast was okay but the presentation of it was somewhat affected also by the renovation work that was going on. ... Read more

However, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was on the 1st floor and was a little old. Their Web site says they are under construction, but it doesn't say there may be serious issues. They gave me a newly renovated room, and it looked beautiful. But I discovered that the shower had no hot water. The maintenance man came up and pulled it all apart, then said he had to call his supervisor. Meanwhile, its 8pm at night and I have an early flight the next morning. So they finally moved me to a different room, where the shower had hot water but the spray was hard. Then the next morning,... My family celebrated my father's 90th Birthday at this facility. It was AWESOME! First off, the Sales Department, headed by Rosalen Salib, was super helpful to a newbie Event Planner (me). We planned a room block for people coming from out of town, which gave us a great rate. Her assistant, Warren, recommended a restaurant for the evening before the party, and the shuttle even took us there. Warren and Rosalen "stopped by" the restaurant to make everything was fine. Office center was not available as it was being remodeled, had to go to the hotel next door to use theirs as it is a sister property. Yes, the hotel is under renovation, but that didn't effect us. The room was clean, fresh smelling, quiet and cool. Close to the rental car facility, we were able to leave the car, and use shuttles to get to the hotel for our night before flying out, and then back to the airport for our early flight. This hotel is being renovated, and we got a brand-new room, with a modern, spa-like look. The bed and big pillows looked very inviting, and the bathroom was a glass and tile modern beauty, complete with lovely toiletries. We had asked for a quiet room, and I heard no external noise whatsoever. Sadly, the wall AC unit was so loud that we finally had to just turn it off (not ideal in Phoenix), and the refrigerator had such a vibrating hum that I unplugged it in the middle of the night. We stayed on the first floor and clearly our room had yet to be renovated. It was tired old Holiday Inn. Where they did shine was in making it easy for us to get to the airport. We need a hotel close to the airport which this one is circa 10 minutes away. The hotel is basic with a comfortable bed and a good shower. However , the air- conditioning was noisy and unable to cope with the 37C temperature! The hotel was undergoing a refit on the floor below which caused dust in places. There is shuttle to and from the airport. The breakfast was a basic buffet but overall given the price it was not bad value.

Is under renovation, but the desk gentleman was awesome. Moved us to a room closer to our car, had 2 great recommendations for restaurants. And, when I forgot something and called here (same guy at the desk) after 5pm, he went to housekeeping himself to find it and i was able to swing by to get it. It would've been so easy so say "Sorry, Housekeeping's gone for the day", as most places do, but not this guy!

We have stayed here on several previous occasions, but not since remodel was completed (well almost). We stayed here in October on 2 occasions at start and completion of a 2+ week trip. The photos on the Hotels.com website are misleading. I wondered what this hotel looked like prior to renovations. It has that cheap furniture feel - the "dining area" is pretty much inside the front door - room decor, while clean, was very stark and bland. There is no place for lunch or dinner. We had to go to the Waffle House next door - menu is limited and not even as good as an IHOP. I would skip this place and go another block to the Drury Inns.
