The hotel is truly lovely. It was built as a Valley National Bank and has original art deco features on the elevator doors, on the walls and above doorways. The room was very spacious and lovely, too. Comfortable bed. Very quiet. Friendly and helpful desk staff and bellman. The only disappointment was the breakfast buffet. Way too expensive and not that good. If it wasn't for the disappointing breakfast, I would have given the hotel a 5 instead of a 4. Also, the parking is rather expensive at $2... Read more

Do you stay at HGIs? This one is better than all of 'em. Do you stay at the regular hotel chains? This is just as good, but likely better. Do you stay at discount chains? This is better. I've stayed at my share of Hilton hotels and HIlton Garden Inns, and I must say, this is a great place. The building is gorgeous, and they've done such a beautiful renovation. I got lucky to be upgraded to a corner suite, which was huge. I think it was bigger than my apartment back in NY. The brea... Read more

This hotel is very nice and well kept. We were in Phoenix for the International Volleyball Festival @ the Convention Center. It was literally a 2 minute walk. This hotel is very convenient for the downtown area. The staff is outstanding and make you feel they are there to be of service to you. They do have a $29 per day parking fee, which seems to be standard downtown.

There was much attention given to the restoration of the Monroe Building and it works great for the new purpose of a Hilton Hotel. There is a lot of history in the building and many details to explore as you go through the hotel. The staff was very accommodating and polite. The hotel was very clean and made for a comfortable stay. The location is very convenient to activities downtown and is right on the light rail line.

This new Hilton a Garden Inn is one of the best I have ever stayed inn. The layout, colors and retire decor has a welcoming feeling from the time you walk in. Granted this is a newer hotel (opened late in 2015) and you'd expect it to be nice. We were dumbfounded how nice nice could be! Opened inside an 1930's Art Deco office building/bank, this HGI captures the charm of the original building while expertly renovating/creating hotel rooms with good craftsmanship and charm !

The best time in Arizona is during the summer and you can enjoy being a local! Walking around downtown, pop into The Hilton Garden Inn. Not to get a room, but to see Dante at the bar. A true craftsman and mixologist and conversationalist. The drinks are made with care, craft and you dont feel like you are at a pretentious hipster joint. Really nice property and friendly staff. There was a wedding next door and the music was REALLY loud one of my nights there. That's my only complaint. The room was very modern and clean! Location couldn't be any better if you're attending a conference at the convention center.

This was a very nice Hilton Property in Downtown Phoenix. Rooms were clean, staff was friendly and amenities were great. Hotel is near convention center and lots of restaurants and pubs. When in Phoenix and need to stay downtown, I will definitely stay again.

Hotel is an old bank, but made to look very nice, rich, and yet modern. FOR being in a year-round warm climate, I was shocked the hotel didn't have a pool! Other than that everything was nice. Valet''s are friendly and fast. Hotel is centrally located to a lot of nice restaurants. GOTTA try Squid Ink Sushi...I wasn't a sushi lover til I had that. Downtown phoenix has a lot u can do and it isn't busy at all. This hotel is a great one in a great location.

Everything about this place was excellent. Will be my go to spot from now on when I stay in downtown Phoenix or anywhere remotely close to downtown. Was given early check-in, upgraded room, complimentary breakfast, close to a lot of good restraunts, next door to light rail.

Nice clean decent rooms. City noises kept me awake...buses and light rail...and the a/c unit going on and off. Breakfast was $15 dollars, you order and buffet. Front desk staff was nice and lobby was comfortable.

This hotel stay was a great experience. There were a ton of us staying for different nights because of a wedding and family/friends coming in for the rehearsal dinner at "the Nook" which is inside the hotel, and staying there after the wedding the next day. There were discounted room rates and dome juggling, but everything worked out the way it was expected and the hotel staff were all great at accommodating every need!

Our stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Downtown Phoenix was an excellent experience. The staff was most helpful, professional, and provided great service. I recommend trying to get an end room. Ours was most spacious, clean, and great space design. The restaurant staff was most pleasant and courteous. I highly recommend this hotel if you are in Phoenix!

The Hilton Garden Inn in downtown Phoenix, Arizona had the most delicious "espresso rubbed" filet as well as pizza and Chicken Marsala. I loved the reconstructed mule cocktail, it was like drinking a key lime pie! The staff was exceptional. The valet assisted in our taxi service. The rooms were beautiful as well as the lobby. We dined on the sun deck for a special event watching the lights of the city, again the best food and wait staff. We will go again.

Outstanding property perfect for the wedding party for both the bride and grooms families. Amanda Nance did an exceptional job making the rehearsal dinner at the property an outstanding event. Please pass on this comment to her. Joe Gavin

The staff here was of poor quality. Rooms were clean and the location was excellent. The staff was very inconsiderate multiple times. Overall a great place to stay from an amenity and location perspective but management needs to work with staff on Customer Service.

One of the nicest Hilton Garden Inn properties I have stayed at. Was disappointed that I was not greeted as a Diamond member. I did ask for & received an upgrade to a queen suite, the only queen suite in the hotel I was told. While the suite was well appointed, the location was awful (Rm 206). Was directly above the entrance for valet parking. U could hear planes, trains (light rail) & automobiles and people talking on the sidewalk below at 2am. Would suggest rooms on higher floors.Had di... Read more

Never again! Bathtub did not have bathmat or anti-slip strips. I accidentally slipped stepping into the tub and hit my head. Called and asked for a bathmat but never delivered. At checkout, complained to the front-office manager, who had nothing to say about failing to provide a bathmat, failing to provide a safe room, nor understanding of the potential liability. All she (Lucia Saguibo) wanted to know was why had I not come done earlier so she could complete her accident report. Hello! An... Read more

The decor is modern. I was told the hotel opened in December of 2015. The room showed little wear and tear . The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly at check in and check out.

This location was PERFECT for our girls' weekend. Close enough to walk to the Phoenix Convention Center for a Conference but far enough away to stay of the crowded restaurants. We got a KILLER rate! The parking is Valet only, but easy to find and actually so nice to use. We walked in to a grand entrance offering fruit infused water and snacks in the new, and modern lobby. There was seating for days with lots of little alcoves for private conversations! We received complimentary water bottles upo... Read more

We had a block of rooms at this hotel for a wedding. The staff was great and very accommodating. Gift bags were handed out upon check-in of each guest in the block just as planned. And the Senior Sales Manager, April, whom we dealt with while setting up the block was extremely nice and ultra-accommodating. I will stay here again just to stay here.
