Stayed here based on the reviews...Not in the best part of town...but the rooms were clean, the furniture was decent. Overall acceptable. Their dinning facility (next to the pool where breakfast was served) was better than I expected. The building itself is old and a little run down. Very friendly staff. Overall enjoyed my stay.....however with all the other hotels in town I have to say I won't be staying there again

The hotel van was unavailable when I called from the airport so the hotel paid for a cab. Service at check-in aas fast and friendly. The hotel room was clean but old and dated. My room air conditioner did not work properly, the room never got below 71 degrees despite setting the thermostat at 65. I arrived too late for the evening reception so I can't comment on that. The breakfast was the most minimal I've seen at an Embassy Suites. No hot buffet at all, only cooked to order eggs, potatoes, and... Read more

The rooms are excellent, the staff is friendly and helpful. I just want to give a shout out to an awesome employee, our shuttle driver, Tony Agnew!!! When Tony picked us up from the airport, he met us with a smile and a killer personality! We are from San Diego so we had great conversation with Tony because he lived there too. It was so much fun any time that Tony gave us a ride to the Bario or anywhere we needed to go. My husband and I connected with tony so much that they exchanged phone n... Read more

Hotel is in a very poor area. The room was very dated and had a moldy odor. Does not feel like an Embassy. Staff weren't friendly or welcoming. Checked out after one night and went to a different Embassy in Tempe was the same price and nicer rooms and service.

What a disappointment! I've stayed at and embassy suites and it was ok but this stay was rough! Check in was less than informative. The woman at the front was so scattered that she had to check me in twice because I had to remind her to give me a room key and tell me how to get to my room. She was nice but at the end of a day of traveling, I just want to get to the room and I witnessed her botch up 3 check ins, including mine. Further, my room was next door to a room in repair, so there was dril... Read more

Rooms are clean enough for one night. TV doesn't work in living space. Definitely an older hotel with everything outside. Nothing in a kitchen to prepare any more than coffee or microwave something. Doesn't appear to be on the "good" side of town. Happy Hour is fine and staff are courteous. I would NOT stay here more than 1 night.

The Hotel staff was excellent and responsive. The room was comfortable and quite spacious. I was given the Apache suite, which is a business suite, so the room had a secondary air conditioner to assist in keeping the large suite cool. This was especially nice since the temperatures were above 115F that weekend. The staff is willing to answer questions thoroughly and without any reservations or condescending attitude. I would say this hotel is pretty typical for Embassy Suites brand. Everyone was friendly and took care of any problems we had. From the front desk staff, to the shuttle staff, to the bartenders, everyone we encountered was courteous and outstanding. Tony, the shuttle driver made our entire stay. He was hilarious, very informative and unbelievably kind hearted. Returned to this Embassy property for a long weekend after a 20 year hiatus since my last stay. Much has changed, it seems, to the exterior, and little, it seems, has changed on the interior. The exterior changes, however, are not all for the better. Those in know who visit Phoenix in the heat of summer, try to creatively park so their vehicles get at least 'some' afternoon (read: east side of the building here) shade during the hottest part of the day. This is not a top notch Embassy Suites due to its so-so location and because all the room doors faced inward, something I do not like. However the room was clean and staff friendly. Big plus over Hampton Inns: a chef who will cook your breakfast to order.

With so many places in Phoenix to stay. This place was amazing. Great service. Nice room. Easy to find. Close to airport. Shulte service. I will be back. Wouldn't stay anywhere else even though it was an older hotel. Thank you.

The hot tub had dabree in it. There were creepy men hanging around the balconies smoking cigarettes. The building needs refurbishing. I have stayed at 100s of Hilton associated hotels and many Embassy Suites. This hotel is not on par. Room service staff was great. Food was quite good. Shuttle drivers to the airport were excellent.

I had a reservation for this hotel because I typically enjoy the amenities at the Embassy. This location is in an area that is near many local liquor stores and high crime areas. There were a couple of vagrants near the dumpster which is in the hotel parking lot. The property is old and there is no central, indoor courtyard as the newer properties have. The rooms have access that are outside and the security does not seem to exist. This location did not have the typical evening mixer and awesome... Read more

Overnight stay taking son for early flight. Rated 3.5 stars was a joke. Was really 1.5. Filthy dirty carpets. Looked 30 yrs old. Smelled like bleach and cat urine. No hot water. No wifi as stated because I booked thru a third party Priceline. Very seedy area. I propped a chair in the door. Priceline said this was a $230 room! I paid $79. Super 8 would've been better and cheaper.

Perfect location for the airport including a great shuttle service. The bedroom and living room area were spacious, updated, and the bed was very comfortable. I loved the arrangement of the toilet area and sink / mirror in different room. This s a luxury when 2 people are trying to get ready. I also appreciated ALL the plugs on lamps and tables so 2 people could easily find places to plug in computers, and phones. The 7:00 breakfast was prepared to order and parking was convenient .

Everyone was extremely polite and it was your typical Embassy Suites layout. The bathroom and front rooms are a little dated but clean. The breakfast is one of the best Embassy Suites breakfasts that I have ever had. Evening reception was average at best. Nice atmosphere but snacks and drinks were limited. Location is a little low rent but the hotel always felt safe.

I stayed here because I'm a Hilton Honors member, the hotel was listed close to the airport, and the rate was reasonable. What I didn't realize is that the area the hotel is located in is a bit run down. The hotel is quite old, with exterior room entrances (no inner hallway). The living and bedroom areas were clean, with modern, updated furniture. The bathroom had peeling wallpaper, and an old shower door. My room did not have a balcony, or patio. I specifically requested a room with a balcony. When checking in, I verified. The receptionist said it had a balcony, but it was locked. When I questioned her about it (because I wanted to smoke), she said that she would send someone up to unlock it. We unpacked and I called the front desk, only to be told that they do not unlock them. She offered to refund my money, but I asked if they had a smoking room, so we packed up and moved to that room. I've been a Hilton Honors member since 1994. The good - very convenient to the airport and 24 hour shuttle. Great staff, very good breakfast. Customer service is top notch. Room was clean and very large. The not so good - this hotel, like many of the Hilton properties, are just getting old. Carpeting was vintage 90's and had a run in the middle. Caulking in shower was old and brittle.

I returned to the Airport Embassy Suites because I knew I would be satisfied in the accommodations and amenities. This is small property that is easy to get around. Check in is smooth, the business center accessible. Breakfast was very satisfying, the chef very friendly, and the evening reception is the perfect place to unwind after the long day. The snacks offered of veggies and fruit are healthy and fulfilling and the bartenders attentive. I will return to Embassy Suites again.

When you get to your room it's fittings and features are cheap tatty, well worn and look like it was due an update in the 90's.
