We stayed the night before flying out ,left our car for the duration of a 12 day trip and stayed again the night we returned. Our first room (140) was ok except for the very worn night stands. The room we stayed in on the return (143) was much better - the carpeting and furniture looked like they had been renovated. As others have stated, the area is not the best - lots of low budget motels- but that wouldn't prevent me from staying again. The breakfast is simple - Otis Spunkmeyer muffins, b... Read more

We stayed here the night before flying out of Phoenix. The Lodge is older, but clean and comfortable. Also very quiet. There is a microwave and fridge in the room and continental breakfast is included. Very convenient to the airport. Only drawback is the hotel isn't in the best part of town and there are no restaurants within walking distance. There is a Ruby Tuesdays a short drive away though. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

The room was clean and adequate - no frills. The staff was helpful and friendly. It was a good value for the price. The rooms need a little work, though. It smelled as though it had once been a smoking room. It was close to the airport, and the shuttle was convenient. Choices for breakfast could have been better. The food was good, but limited - bagels, cereal, & oatmeal. However, they *do* start serving at 4am, which was great since we had to be on the shuttle by 5, which came right to t... Read more

I picked this hotel due to its close location to the airport (approx 10-15 minute drive) plus the extra time added depending on which terminal you land in. Once you land you pick up the courtesy phone to phone the hotel, and the girl I got on the other end was so rude to me and she hung up. I tried to call a second time, in which she was just yelling at me through the phone and hung up on me again! At that point, I gave up and headed outside to the courtesy vehicle pick up, and asked one of the ... Read more

Good size room with comfy bed. Great amenities inc fridge, microwave etc. Only thing was the air con was noisy and the room was hot so hard to sleep either way. Id also take my own breakfast as not much was provided despite being included. There were a few mini packet muffins and some porridge sachets with water and coffee, which I think was a little poor. The staff were helpful enough though.

Pros: Affordable Clean Free WiFi Free airport shuttle Free breakfast snacks Functional beds, AC, microwave, and refrigerator. Cons: Surrounded by ghetto (crazy people talking to themselves.) I've stayed at this motel before when needing an early morning free shuttle to the airport. The shuttle service and price continue to make this place worth enduring. But as others have mentioned, the area is absolutely horrendous, teeming with dangerous and/or mentally ill looking characters. Nothing safe within walking distance. On this particular stay, my check in experience was VERY unpleasant. My partner was dropping me off in the evening so I could catch a flight the next morning, and my lu... Read more

This hotel was exactly what I expected/needed it to be. Flew into Phoenix to start our road trip and got in late. Room was clean. The lady at the front desk was super nice and there was a shuttle from the airport with a courtesy phone by door 4 at Sky harbor. Bed was larger and comfortable and the air conditioning was cold. Bathroom was clean and the shower was hot. Breakfast was good.

For the money you can't beat this place. No problems with security that I have seen to date. The complimentary breakfast lacks a little, but considering the price of the room it's hard to ask for anything more.

I didn't expect a hotel near the airport to be relaxing and have a beautifully shaded pool, but this one has it all! Not all rooms have a sauna, but on our second stay here, we accidently booked a room with sauna, and it was the same cost as our first stay in a room without sauna. We also didn't have time to enjoy the pool on our first visit, so we made certain to get back early enough to enjoy the pool on our next visit. This is a clean, basic, safe motel near the airport. The motel does not let anyone stay who lives within 30 miles, so no one goes there for 'funny business'. The breakfast was good too! There is not much else to say. The area looks a little sketchy, but was fine.

Great for your money. good room, absolutely no complaints. Help yourself breakfast in AM, nothing special but good to get into your stomach. 2 restaurants about just under 2 walking blocks away. Out front, turn right to light, turn right to next light. One corner has a great causal fish restaurant called Knock Kneed Lobster and other corner has Jack in the Box. Free airport shuttle, dependable. Will stay again if I need an overnight er due to airline schedules.

I stayed here during a layover in Phoenix. The hotel is located very close to the airport. The provide 24 hour, free airport transfers. The pick up was fast and easy, as was check in. The free WiFi was also excellent. The rooms are nice and large, and the bed very comfortable. The free breakfast was so-so, but better than nothing. Would definitely recommend this hotel to others, and stay here again.

As Phoenix residents, we often use this hotel for its "stay and fly" program where we can leave the car at the motel with one night stay. This time I stayed before an early flight so my husband would not have to get up at 4:00 am. This is probably not a location for long stay since it is near the airport, but I found the motel to be very clean and the personnel very helpful. The shuttle runs every hour and they do have a pick up if desired.

It's a $50 hotel room, what do you expect? I thought that too but for the price, it was better than anticipated. Clean, setup nice, quiet, and bed was not bad. I've paid more and had way less. So, for us, just crashing out and leaving for an early flight, it was perfect. I'd stay again.

We checked into the hotel in the early evening after dinner, so we could leave our car and catch an early morning flight from Sky Harbor. The hotel was fine, and since it was a hot July day, not very busy. I would stay again under the same circumstances. Like other people, we are skeptical about "near airport" lodgings, especially the smaller places. However, after reading the comments about this place on TripAdvisor, we gave it a shot. The price was real good which was an added incentive. Bottom line: the local area looks a bit rough, but this EconoLodge is an oasis. For the price and convenience, it was totally fine. The area didn't seem that sketchy to me, I dunno -- first time to Phoenix and it just seemed like a random, sort of industrial near-the-airport location. It's true that there aren't restaurants really within walking distance, so if you're getting dropped off here by a cab/uber/shuttle, you might want to plan ahead as far as where to go eat.
