Stayed here for one night after a late PHX arrival. They have a convenient 24 hr. shuttle for airport pickup, check-in was friendly, fast and efficient. The rooms are spare, but have what you need. We found the bed and particularly the pillows very comfortable, with a few pillow choices. The room was spotless and has a mini fridge and coffee, the ventilation system worked well. Despite being near the airport, we did not hear any plane noise or other hotel noise from the hall or neighbors. M... Read more

If you don't like the Arizona type hotel with access door that aremoutside and prefer a traditional hotel with access via an inside hallway you will like this hotel. The room was very clean and the front desk staff very helpful. The location is excellent. Especially if you need to be at the airport early the next morning. I will definitely stay here again.

We live in Tucson and attend frequent events in Phoenix. We prefer to stay overnight after evening events. We have stayed in hotels closer to downtown but have been frustrated by the hassle of parking near the ballpark or theatre. The Crowne Plaza was the perfect solution. It's convenient to the Interstate without being too close. It has free valet parking. Best of all, it's right across the street from a Light Rail stop. If you have tickets to a major event, the train ride is free. Our room (Ex... Read more

The hotel is very close to the airport and runs a free shuttle - drop off and pick up. The hotel is rather drab, dark, and dated inside. My room's air conditioning kept going on and off all night - making for a poor night of sleep. If you need to get to the airport quickly, this is a good choice.

Due to weather, my flight was diverted to PHX and so I had to stay a night in town. The entry of the hotel has been nicely renewed, however, the hallways are still the good old look from 1970. Rooms are also renovated and as you would expect. One big plus is the airport shuttle. Food at the bar was OK. While the pita & hummus were quite delicious, the portion was tiny. Would not stay unless I have to be at the airport early or United Airlines floats the bill again.

We came here for one night before staying with relatives for a spring training weekend. Arrived a few minutes before midnight, so didn't want to disturb any family so booked a room at this airport hotel. Had a problem with the airport shuttle: despite repeated calls, it took forever, nearly an hour, to show up. We could have walked to the hotel in less time! To be fair, the second time I called the front desk, they offered to reimburse us for a taxi, but then the shuttle appeared. Spring tr... Read more

I love being able to stay at this property when I am flying out of Phoenix on vacation. The rooms have just been renovated, the lobby is beautiful and, while the pool is ordinary, it is clean and very refreshing in the Phoenix heat. But the real value is the covered parking available for my car when I stay at the hotel the night before flying out of Phoenix. For one reasonable rate I get a night in a beautiful room, a free shuttle to the airport, covered parking for my car and a free shuttle ... Read more

Company booked the hotel for conference due to convenience to airport. Right across the street from airport rail line, but also hotel shuttle to get you back and forth. Shuttle was also available to take us to local restaurant in the evening when it was otherwise slow. All meals provided were very good. My room was upgraded and was very nice. Hotel bar staff was friendly and quick, with a decent selection of local beers.

But this is definitely the best hotel in this class and price range that I've ever stayed in... Crucial that we weren't standing around in the Phoenix summer heat, the shuttle driver was polite and arrived to pick us up at the airport, an as-estimated 10 minutes after I'd called to confirm arrival. You can't go wrong staying here. The staff are great and the accommodations are very comfortable. Their "stay and fly" program is great for those trips that are more than a week. Upon your return, the shuttle from the hotel picks you up at the airport, brings you to the hotel, and if you are not staying the night, the valet staff will have your car ready and waiting for you when you arrive.

Pros: close to the airport and the hotel provides a shuttle, across the street from public transport, the staff are hospitable and friendly and the food is good in the restaurant. Cons; no real shade at the pool, not close to many activities/other restaurants in town, and the TV is "like a box of chocolate - you never know..." what station really you'll get and not many channels to begin with. Great place to stay before or after flying from/to Phoenix airport. It is also just 15 minutes by metro till downtown, so one might as well stay here for longer visits as well instead of paying for expensive hotels downtown. Breakfast was quite good (for American hotels), but I would like to see some more cooked vegetables for breakfast to get that fiber. Room was decent sized and very clean.

Loved our afternoon and evening at this hotel. Has a spacious, modern lobby. Restaurant menu and prices were satisfactory and reasonable, and the pool was refreshing after a day of driving in the desert. Chose this location because was only a few minutes to the rental car location.

The staff is first rate, the restaurant and bar staff are attentive and friendly. Excellent security. The room was perfect. Sleep was great as the bed was very comfortable and there was zero ambient noise. Parking is your choice of secure lot or valet. I chose secure lot (free). There is a gas station just across the road for fueling the rental.

I can't speak much about the breakfast because I had to start work before six during the week :-) but dinner is a pleasant experience.

Recently updated hotel. Lobby décor is a little boring but my favorite in Phoenix. Good restaurant and bar also. Main asset is location. You can take tram from Terminal 4 at airport to directly across street. Also across street is light rail line that will take you downtown up to camelback & Central, or southeast to Tempe and Chandler. Don't give 5 stars except for best of best. This is really 4.8 or something.

The hotel was nice enough, furniture new and the place clean. Our first room had issues with the wifi and tv. When we called the desk, they sent a two-person crew to help. Turns out, the TV needs to be set to HDMI 1 with the one remote first. An odd method, with no instructions given, but it was a new cable company, so kinks have to be worked out, I guess. When the wifi didn't correct and we asked for a different room, the request was immediately granted. The new room looked clean, but it ... Read more

The Crown Plaza Phoenix Airport was close to the airport, had clean rooms with updated bathrooms, and was staffed by helpful people. The free airport shuttle was easy to arrange and on time.
