We loved our one-week stay at the Sanctuary in April. We stayed in the Camelback Suite which was renovated to be very contemporary and minimalistic - exactly what we love. Stunning views from our suite. We dined a number of times at the Elements restaurant and Jade bar - food was great, consistent. We had some friends visit with us at the bar and was a good place to hang out. Had a nice spa experience as well - in addition to our massages, we took a couples massage lesson that was a lot of ... My boyfriend booked us spa treatments, dinner and overnight stay as my Christmas gift. As Phoenix local I have been the Jade Bar on several occasions and it's a favorite. The rest of the hotel, spa and Elements restaurant followed suit. They have great service without feeling overly formal or stuffy. The spa is super expensive, but on par with other luxury resorts in the area. There room rates feel high based on other similar properties, but for a short stay it was worth it. Overall I loved it a... Read more

I have now stayed at Sanctuary for 7 straight years for a business conference. Each time the stay has been enjoyable with or without family. The accommodations are excellent, the staff knowledge and helpful, and the location great, and the views phenomenal. I look forward to Sanctuary each year and hope to come back more often soon!

It's their people that really makes the difference and really makes this a great resort. In addition, the Sanctuary offers a fantastic chef/dining experience, beautiful setting with views, location, excellent spa and fitness, pools, tennis with views, and easy access to hiking, shopping, and restaurants. Rooms are nice, comfortable, contemporary/Spartan almost, not posh, but very comfortable and quiet with nice views. Their team makes your experience fun, casual, and with an always-at-your-ser... We had an amazing experience at the Sanctuary Spa. The Facials we got were rejuvenating - catered to each of our unique skin's need. Ambiance was very relaxing and welcoming. We definitely recommend and are looking forward to visiting again.

Spent 3 nights here at the end of a multi city trip. This was a perfect way to wind down. The infinity pool is quite pretty and service at the pool was quick. Food was delicious. Elements has a gorgeous view. Definitely make a reservation for dinner. The mountain suite was lovely, modern, clean lines. You must go to the spa (reservations in advance also because they book up quick). Make sure to have time before/after to relax and use the saunas and hot tubs. Plenty to do on site - tennis, gym, p... Read more

My daughter and I stayed in a 'mountain view' suite. The room was absolutely beautiful. A luxury living room with a wood burning fireplace and more. The bathroom had a free-standing tub (with a cup full of epsom salt) which came in very handy after hiking a few hours on Camelback Mountain.

Took the family for a week long vacation. We had a great time. Sanctuary is in a beautiful setting and very accessible. Close to downtown Scottsdale. We had a great time. Our room had a fireplace with logs which added to one evening. We had adjoining rooms which shared a central living room. That was nice. The grounds are beautiful. Nice night-time lighting and paver-brick paths through nice desert landscape. Very nearby are the trail-heads for two different trails on Camelback Mt... Read more

I had a small work meeting at this hotel, which was recommended by my travel planner. I was so glad she recommended this hotel!!! First, the location and ambiance is fabulous. To be right on Camelback Mountain, literally tucked into the mountainside, is amazing. Its hilly, but a golf cart can get you anywhere. If you are hiker like me, you don't mind the small hills on the property. The hotel rooms are spectacular. I had a large suite, with an amazing bathroom and tub, a fireplace and two... Read more

This was a perfect spot for annual girls spa trip. We had a two bedroom suite with a nice living area which suited our group perfectly. The staff was extremely helpful. The spa services and food were exceptional.
