The room was fine - dated but generally okay. My AC wasn't working and it was such a hassle - it took 3 or 4 calls to the front desk to get someone to look at it (3 calls to get the evening maintenance person there - he couldn't fix it and then I had to call again in the morning to request the daytime person to look at it). There was no communication at all between departments or between agents at the front desk. I had booked 2 nights at the regular rate and then on the 3rd night I had to m... Read more

Close to freeway access. I really enjoy staying at this hotel. Yes, it is an older property but this is good value for the money paid and I have stayed here many times and always found the rooms to be clean and comfortable. Front desk very helpful I had a question about my reservation dates and the manager, Jeff, jumped right in to help me. Introduced himself and fixed everything. This was great service. Beautiful pool area that the kids really enjoy. I had great internet access and that ... Read more

I was traveling with my family - my son had a baseball tournament. We had a late check in - there were two young men helping at the front desk that were nice enough. Unfortunately they did not give us any coupons for breakfast (we didn't realize our room came with the breakfast until the day before we left). For the days we were there, we went and purchased breakfast elsewhere. We only learned the room came with breakfast after one of my son's teammates told him. We went to the front desk a... Read more

Stayed here for two nights. Check in was good and smooth with no trouble, the issues were all with the property. The property is an older property that hasn't been really kept up very well. The shower was off and in need of repair as well as much of the ceilings tiles in the hallway. The room was clean however and the bed was comfortable.

I have stayed here many times for business. Service is always good. It's nice to have a restaurant and bar in the hotel. The pool area is nice. Property is beginning to show its age. If your tall I recommend you ask for a room in the main tower and not the suites. Showers in the suites are definitely not suited for tall folks. Rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. Would be great if they spent a little money on fixing the place up.

This place was completely satisfactory. We got a very good deal and it was a good location for us as we were in town for a graduation at a local high school and near Gilbert and other charming little main drags. Lobby was a little musty but the room was spacious, ac functional and not *too* loud, bathroom was clean and the bed comfortable. The sheets and towels were pretty low quality (or perhaps just worn - they were pilly and scratchy) but they were abundant and *very* clean. the coffee in roo... Read more

My wife and I stayed at the hotel numerous times in the late 70s and early 80s when it was newly built. We stopped visiting there following a dispute over charges I was wrongly accessed. We decided to stay Memorial Day weekend because it was close to a graduation ceremony we were attending. The hotel in the early early years was vibrant with well attended happy hours each afternoon, a very popular indoor-outdoor pool and excellent restaurant almost poolside. That pool is gone and is now outdoo... Read more

The pool is great! Kids had a great time in the pool and slept good at night. The staff was very friendly with check in answering supplying extra coffee in our room. It was a great stay and I will definitely stay again

I stayed here after booking through ROCKETMILES.COM for a price of $79.00 plus tax during the Month of June-- which is Super Hot Weather for Phoenix. AC is critical. The property is an older one that has been renovated. Front desk gave me a room on the sixth floor at the far end of a hallway. Unlike most Holiday Inns, this one does not provide complimentary breakfast. I started sweating during check in because the Lobby was very warm. The elevator going up had no AC and was very HOT. Other than the people that work there, nothing is good about this hotel. The carpets are long due for CLEANING, the room has the noisiest a/c equipment ever, the breakfast is absolutely limited (unless you adore bacon) and btw the swimming pool was out of service without notice. I needed to use the business center. The usb ports don't work, files other than pdf cannot be opened, internet connection sucks. I hope to never have to come back to it.

Stayed for 5 nights. Didn't clean room for 2 days. No manager on duty after hours & front desk is not trained to take care of guests. Was told we could leave the hotel & they would have comped 1 night but because we complained we don't get it. Being a rewards customer doesn't make any difference. They don't care. Spend your money elsewhere. This hotel isn't worth the hassle with so many other options. Very disappointed in holiday inn.

The Holiday Inn & Suites Phoenix-Mesa/Chandler is conveniently located off the interstate and is surrounded by many amenities that include shopping, hardware stores, and restaurants. We are IHG rewards club members. We understand that sometimes we get to check in early if rooms are available but we were not able to check in early because the rooms were not ready and were asked to come back in an hour. The first time we attempted to check in, the front desk clerk gave my husband a hard time about... Read more

Let me start off by stating that the staff was fine, and we had no issues at all with anyone working here. Everything else is in dire need of some work! The plumbing was the worst culprit. The sink drain was extremely slow, and the shower drain was even worse. A 10-minute shower would result in 9" of standing water. Forget trying to take a shower right after someone else! Add in the thin walls, tight rooms, and the shaky elevators and it just wasn't a pleasant experience. We will not retu... Read more

We were greeted by Sara at the front desk, and she was very welcoming and friendly and we enjoyed our chats with her - she asked how our trip was going each time we walked by the desk when she was there. Sara was incredibly accommodating, providing us with options and directions for shopping. I really cannot thank Sara enough for her hospitality! Our room was very clean upon checkin, but housekeeping service during our stay was confusing and left some to be desired. When serviced, our room wa... Read more

Needs help, one of the pillows that I had was stained with what looked like blood, had to kill a couple of the hotel residents that were climbing on the bathroom walls, shower head was covered with calcium deposits. The tub on the end with the faucet on the outside where the tub met the wall had a patch job that looked like it was done by a young child. Where the toilet is attached to the wall it was completely rusted. The only reason I didn't give 2 stars was that the bed itself was very comf... Read more

This place sucks pretty bad, not impressed with any aspect of the stay. At check in I try to have a friendly humor and mentioned they must be fully booked since they got one sleeping on front bench (street guy). The front desk immediately calls security in front of me to have him removed. It made me feel bad since he wasn't doing harm and didn't want him in trouble. The room, older, popcorn ceiling, unimpressive but not gross or anything, hint, this earned the second star I generously offered. ... Read more

Friendly staff and service. Nice rooms and beds too. Even though the place was crowded with various youth league participants, the hotel was quiet and pleasant. The restaurant has a nice breakfast. Order from the menu, however, not the buffet. Nothing locally to walk to in order to eat or drink.
