This hotel is old. I bet not much has changed since the 60ies. But, in a way, that is part of the fun! It fits in with the historical Highway 66 feel of the whole town. Although it was old, it was clean. When the first room we got had cruddy water in the tub, the owners immediately and with an apology moved us to another room, where everything worked just right. Both rooms had nice paintings haging on the walls. And it came with a free hot breakfast in the restaurant (no name) across the pa... Read more

This motel is a pleasant stopover. Bed is comfortable, room is clean & breakfast is free. It's an old motel with character. We enjoyed our stay. The staff are very helpful. If You have to stop and rest i would suggest this motel. Thank you

The hotel is an old Route 66 Motel which we loved! The hotel could do so much with the 1950's-60's characteristics of the architecture and the rooms but sadly they do not.Our room was nice and we enjoyed being able to open the windows to let in the winter breezes. The bathroom is very very tiny but that is to be expected with the age of the motel. The faucet in our bathtub was broken and the water ran all night long. The staff was nice and the breakfast in the old adjacent dinner was acceptable... Read more

Dirty doesn't describe it. Sink didn't drain, mold around tub, curtains crummy and didn't fit, carpet and molding coming up. Holes in sheets, blankets ancient. Didn't really want to get into the bed. Called front desk, fellow was very nice said could put us in another room or check us out. Could not give refund until he spoke to manager in the morning. Maintance and repair badly needed.

We stayed here (without looking at the room first- our mistake) based on the recommendation of an employee at the Petrified Forest NP and the cheery motel office . We asked for an upstairs room. Decor and furniture was nice and the bed was clean and comfy with decent linen and pillows. There were Australian-designed eco-aware amenities (made in China...) However, the overall room impression was oppressive and shabby. The carpet was the worst we have yet seen in our forays into "budget" $50+ hote... Read more

I wouldn't let my dog sleep here! However somebody did. The room stank of dog. We arrived in reception to a grumpy young lady who gave us our room numbers & off we went to find a filthy room with a carpet that was matted, holed & smelly. The coffee machine was brown with stains. The windows hadn't been cleaned in weeks. The paintwork was peeling. I dropped my pen & pulled the bed out to retrieve it to find the vacuum cleaner hadn't been here for months. I could go on. Terrible.

It looks like this hotel hasn't been updated since its heyday when Route 66 was in its prime. We stayed here before on our way to the Grand Canyon, and knew it wasn't anything great, but this time we feel that it is getting pretty worn. They offer a free breakfast at the nearby Route 66 Grill, and that makes up for a lot. Our socks became black as we walked on the worn dirty carpet, and the poor dated drapes refused to close all the way. The bed was comfortable, and we slept well, but I doubt we... Read more

Another couple was checking in at the same time I was they came right back and said they're room was filthy and checked out I went to inspect mine it wasn't clean by any means but not too horrible I decided to go ahead and stay because I didn't feel like driving anymore. They have everything you need none of it was terrible but not really good. You also get a voucher for free breakfast next door but it's only good for a few items.

America's Best has been my go to motel. This particular location was the worst motel I have ever stayed in. It was dirty, a hole in the wall was stuffed with toilet paper, the floor and rug were grossly filthy and the ceiling looked like it might cave in at any moment. I will never stay at this location again! If this would have been my first experience with this chain, I would never give them a second chance. Corporate needs to make a visit to this location and either have it cleaned up or r... Read more

The place is old, very dirty, smelly and nothing should be touched. The view is terrible, bathroom dirty and very old, floor needs to be cleaned or better renewd and the sink is full of old dirt. The bed is bad anf floors make noise if you walk. No place to go.

Ive stayed at many ABVI's and they're usually just right. Affordable with all the basics I need bc I'm usually just traveling through a city and its just a one-night thing... This location was no different, it did the job, the girl who checked me in was very nice, the restaurant where we had breakfast was good, shower pressure was awesome (I've got thick hair so I appreciate that lol), but I was disappointed in the room itself bc we always do an inspection upon arrival and you could tell it wasn... My family and i really enjoyed our stay at this cute little hotel. It needs a little touch up but nothing to serious, and it's still a wonderful place to stay. the front desk clerk that checked us in was super friendly and very helpful. the room was clean and quiet and everything we needed. we will be staying here again.

Room 108 was clean, bed was comfortable, all the amenities were there including tissues and a good hair dryer, coffeemaker, frig, microwave, best wifi. Continental breakfast next door at Route 66 Grill was adequate and you could pay extra for eggs. More than I expect from a $44.00 room. Sure, it needs to be refurbished, but I also could have stayed elsewhere and paid over $100.00.

Saw the pictures online, thought it looked ok as we were just needing a place to stay for the night so we could go to grand cayon in morning. Smell was terrible, carpet has never been cleaned, skipped the showers, beds had springs in your back the whole night.

Very accommodating and friendly staff. Complimentary wifi and free, hot breakfast next door at the restaurant in the same parking lot. They serve pancakes waffles, bacon, sausage, French toast, homemade biscuits, sausage gravy, coffee, and juice. Conveniently located by other businesses too.

This hotel was a disappointment. It is old and tired. We stayed on the ground level, the guest directly above walked the squeaky floor non-stop until near midnight making it impossible to sleep. I will give it credit for cleanliness. The free full hot breakfast? Not so much!! You get a voucher to go across the parking lot to a restaurant called Sombreito's where you are offered three choices: pancakes or waffles or French toast with bacon or sausage........literally ONE strip of bacon! We actually did not stay here. When arriving to check in we were told the hotel had not received our reservation. They stated that they had been sold out for some time and had closed down their website. Lobby seemed nice and they were relatively apologetic about the situation. I would call to confirm if I book this hotel again.

Ceiling peeling, carpet shredded and filthy! Walls so thin, we could hear next door person unzip suitcase (hope it was his suitcase), window air conditioner over bathroom sink blowing on pillows on bed and so loud, couldn't hear TV. Train 1/2 block away runs with whistles every 15 - 20 minutes all night long, Every time person above us walked, dust flew down from ceiling. When ran sink, shower or toilet, water dripped for 10 - 15 m inutes down the walls. "Hot breakfast" was voucher for Mexic... Read more

The Room was the worst thing I ever seen. The smell was horrific, ceiling in the bathroom is falling down and to make it even worse there are men in the parking lot asking for cigarettes and money. If I could of gotten my money back I would of left!

Friendly, efficient check in. They are redoing rooms at this time by the look of things, ours sure needed it. The bed was comfortable. The restaurant that served the continental breakfast was scheduled for 7am opening but cook didn't arrive till 7min after to open so therefore coffee etc was slow.

Terrible, it took us more than 1 hour to check in. We had booked and payed in advance. They coudn't find our reservation, didn't know how to operate a computer. In the meantime pleople were complaining, wanted to check out, wanted a refund, etc...It became real slapstick. Room : old and used, probably older than route 66??????? you're warned!!

When I called the hotel to make a reservation I felt like I was on a "cold call" from a sales person. When I was told the price of a king room, I declined to make a reservation since it was $40 more than what I was finding online. The reservationist then presented several reasons we should stay there and kept asking for my name and credit card number. The only thing I really wanted was the price quoted online for a king room, which she eventually gave me after several minutes on the phone. I... Read more
