Started off bad, no trash can in lobby. Booking said queen beds, but were only full. Bathroom door loose on top hinge, had to slam door to close. Breakfast was bad also, day old doughnuts, only two kinds of cereal. Had to go somewhere else to eat. Soundproofing none existent, heard trains all night. HoJo needs to remove their name from this place.

I booked this after looking at many reviews both good and bad, and deciding that it was worth a shot, especially at the price. I think I could have found something better for the money. The location was okay, but I failed to realise it was very close to a pretty busy railroad track, so the train horns were very loud. I'm not a light sleeper but was still woken several times. I realise this is no fault of the hotel. Check in took quite a while as the two gents in front of me were booking several ... Read more

Not worth for $79/night. Broken bed frame, bed was titled so I had to sleep on the floor. Cheap bath towel. Bathroom wasn't the way it shows in the internet. Noisy area. Staff was nice enough. Worked for a place to lay my head after a long day of driving the breakfast was very little, but did have warm coffee, and a few things for my son. If you are on a tight budget and just looking for an affordable place to stay for the night, I would stay somewhere. Will not come back here.

This is an older property, but many of the rooms have been upgraded. We had room 120 which was a comfortable room, with microwave, fridge and a huge shower. Staff was very friendly. The included continental breakfast was available, but we decided to eat elsewhere. Would stay here again for a one day stay. Overpriced but we were in town for NAU graduation and everything was overpriced.

many restaurants in walking distance as well as Barnes and Noble. The rooms were clean and recently renovated. The attendant seemed to not have the front desk under control. When I walked in he couldn't initially find my reservations. He got it found though so all was good. The continental breakfast was late so I was not able to make use of it. I could not get the free WIFI to work. I used the same computer at Barnes and Noble down the street so I know it wasn't issues with my system

We needed a place to lay out heads and this was fine. The wifi works ok. The TVs are fine. Not great beds. But our shower was nicely renovated! My view is a cinder block wall but the upside is its quiet. It's not much to look at from the road but the rooms are better than expected. Price was right.

The bathroom was disgusting. Shower had mold, shampoo and conditioner bottles were dirty, counter was dusty, and bathroom door didn't close. One of the pillow cases was dirty. After a 7 hours drive I was too tired to deal with it. I was leaving bright and early in the morning anyway but I'll never stay there again.

We chose to stay in Flagstaff without a rental car for 6 days, not sure if it would be possible. We arrived on Amtrak at 5 am and a cab ride from the station was only 5 bucks plus tip. Our room was extremely clean, with microwave, coffeemaker, fridge, bathroom amenity kit and plenty of towels. TV was nice flat screen and once the AC temp and vent direction was adjusted I never had to touch it again other than to turn it off and on when we came and left. Room was quiet, no sounds from other rooms... Read more

My daughter is going to school at NAU, so we have stayed at a couple of different properties in the area recently. I do not recommend this property. We booked two nights here and left after the first night. The AC was weak, beds uncomfortable, a loud whistling noise when shower was on, dirty carpet, staff was unhelpful, the property was run down and in need of some TLC. There are several options in the area that are priced for less.

Originally my wife and I had reservations for the Ramada, but they messed up our reservation and couldn't get us a room there. Ended up staying at Howard Johnson. The room was small and outdated. Shower felt narrow. The beds were NOT Queen size, but rather Full size beds. We had trouble sleeping, we were so close to the edge, afraid we were gonna fall off during the night. Staff was friendly and the room was clean. Bed was small, but comfortable.

We found this hotel at the last minute as most hotels in Flagstaff were full. We booked through Expedia. We were disappointed that they didn't have a pool, plus, the room was old, mediocre and not completely clean. We were surprised that they were a Wyndham property.

Room had a really musty smell when we first walked into our room. Had to open windows and run the ac to help get rid of smell. Showers also had mold or mildew in the corners and we all wore our slippers while taking a shower because it looked so dirty.

While passing through town I was happy to find this place. Staff very friendly. Coin Washer and dryer on site which I was happy for. Rooms are good size. Bed comfy. HBO on TV. Its Updated. Small bathroom compared to large hotels. Room for 1 Person at a time. Really enjoyed my stay and checkout was at 11 so ample laundry time. Breakfast standard. Boiled eggs, waffles, donuts, coffee juice. I'd stay here again. Also my room was nice and clean.

Desk staff was friendly. When asked how far it was from the hotel to South rim as well as North rim of the Grand Canyon was told North rim was about 2-3 hours and South rim was about 1.5 hours from the hotel. This seemed about right for the South rim which we went to, to see the Grand Canyon. We had the family room to save some money instead of getting two rooms. There was two doubles in the main room which had the tv/bathroom/small area with a table. The second room had a single bed. This roo... Read more

This was not what we viewed on the website. It was supposed to be two queen beds (not). It was old and rundown. The air conditioning unit was in the recessed part of the wall that was maybe a closet at one time. The shower curtain would not stay up and the floor was slippery. The was only a shower no tub. The only redeeming thing was the breakfast area in the morning and the employees were nice. Will not stay there again.

The hotel charged an extra $3.00 (about 2.5%) as taxes, which was not disclosed when the booking was done. When questioned, they said this was a "Utility Surcharge", but there is no line-item in the bill for that, and the extra amount was lumped with taxes. It was quite obvious that the extra amount is not being transferred to the State and Local Tax authorities. There is no bath-tub, but a shower stall. There is no rack in the shower stall to keep soap and shampoo while having a shower. Also no... Read more

My wife and I got stuck with this place after the Super 8 on 66 did not honor our Wyndham reservation. The manager and staff were rude. Charged 183.00 for a room that was filthy, towels, floor, shower, and sheets. The regular charge for this room on their website was $74.00 to $126.00. When I mentioned this to the manager "if you don't like it, cancel" It very late, and we had driven all day from Moab, Utah. I stayed for almost a week (4 nights), while my mom had an operation on her back. When she was released she was sick to her stomach and in pain so we had to stay longer than our original 2 nights. This is far from a luxe hotel, of course. Due to its location on West 66, I expected there to be loads of road noise, and noisy neighbors. But it was actually rather quiet, with all the necessary amenities: nice beds and pillows, great cable flat screen, fast Internet, cool air conditioner (a lot of folks don't realize how hot and humid Flagstaff can be in the summer). The staff was very nice. I would definitely stay here again (and I am a Flagstaff native!).

We ended up here because we decided to travel to Flagstaff at the last minute with our 2 year old. All the other hotels with suites were booked, and we find it easier if we have a room separate from our daughter who goes to bed earlier than we do. It was also the cheapest "suite" of all the hotels I called by a good $100. I have recollections of staying at Howard Johnson hotels during my youth.
