We drove from Phoenix to Flagstaff and stayed at the hotel one night, as a jumping-off point for a drive up to the Grand Canyon via Route 180. Our Saturday night rate during Northern Arizona University graduation weekend was $195. We then wound up checking back into the hotel the following night after driving back down from the Canyon via routes 64 and 89. Our Sunday night rate, after graduation ended, was $113 - a tremendous value. Our first night was in room 311 (2 Queen beds), and was per... Read more

My wife and I stayed here 2 nights. We used it as a base for seeing the Grand Canyon, the Meteor Crater in Winslow, and everything else in the area. It was a comfortable hotel. The reviews that say it is an older hotel aren't wrong, but it's not isn't broken or falling apart or anything, just a few minor signs of aging. It was a comfortable hotel and the staff was amazing. The staff was very friendly and helpful and made this a much better stay than the current rating indicates.

We went on this trip as a family vacation. It was every bit of enjoyable. The hotel is great. Everything from checking in to checking out went extremely smooth. The room was clean and very roomy. The beds were just perfect to snuggle into at night. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. The pool is a bit on the small side but the water was perfect. And it wasn't very crowded. We stayed here in late March, 2016 for two days. We were pleasantly surprised with the level of service, cleanliness, and proximity to the highways and restaurants. There are several restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. Our room was on the second floor and very clean, quiet, and the beds/pillows quite comfortable. We used the hotel as a base for seeing the Grand Canyon and Winslow, Az. The breakfast buffet was good and we would stay here again if in the area.

We are a family of six with a service dog. Upon arrival and checking in, I was asked if I had a preference where we wanted to stay. I wanted somewhere quiet for my PTSD husband. The receptionist gave me first floor which was nice and quiet. Bonus was that there was a laundry room and I needed to do laundry and a pool down the hallway. My children had a blast in the pool. This is where we stay several times a year when traveling to Phoenix or Las Vegas. It is conveniently located off the last west end freeway exit for easy off and on ramps. There is food next door 24 hours a day and a on property gas station. The convenience, cleanliness, and upkeep of the property keeps us returning. We booked a room here on our way home from a long trip. We were placed into a room in the basement, next to the pool. It had a small window that looked up to the parking lot, with only a sliver view of the sky. Air conditioner made a terrible rattle. And for all this we paid a premium price over $200 for the night! We stayed in 3 different rooms. 2 rooms the air conditioner rattled and reved all night and could hardly sleep. One room the bathroom sink wouldn't drain. Very nice place to stay with a very nice staff. I was not there long but it was a great value. Clean rooms, breakfast was good. The hotel was easy to find Close to where I needed to be for work and restaurants.

Clean rooms, comfortable beds, and a really nice breakfast with healthier options than most others. We always sleep with a fan on, so we haven't found the noise to be a problem. Their location is why we chose them the first time...they are right off the 40 and across from the University...but we keep returning because their front desk staff is just so nice and helpful.

Excellent stay top to bottom, beginning to end. Warm staff, extremely comfortable. Staff was almost overly eager to help, breakfast was plentiful, parking was never an issue (take notes now) as we shared a parking lot with Sizzler, Del Taco, and Chevron (DT and Chevron are open 24 hours). Location couldn't be any better with Wal Mart caddy corner to it (shares a shopping center with Payless Shoes, a Grocery Store and Wells Fargo). On the strip that links into Route 66 and saw all sorts of f... Read more

We needed a sense of humor to be in the room we had. It started with the wrong remote for the room's tv, a heating unit with only "on" or "off" & a fan that poured air out on us all night & no instructions for operation. When we finally could get the tv to work we realized there was no standard major network to watch anyway. Then there was the bathroom sink that was sorta hanging at an angle off the wall so that nothing could be set down on it and there was no counter in the bathroom other than ... Read more

I would definitely stay at this hotel again. Restaurants are nearby, we had a suite, and the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, staff was great - the breakfast was your typical hotel breakfast, but it was good. Something for everyone.

Lacked refrigerator and microwave. Pillows not supportive enough. Toilet paper was very cheap and hard to reach. Rates are twice as much on Fridays and Saturdays. The showerhead was too low. However the breakfast was very good.

We are fans of HI&S hotels, diamond members, and thought we would try this hotel instead of the Hilton Garden Inn nearby. This hotel is newer but looks like it was built in a hurry and on a budget, using budget materials. Our room was smaller than norm. The countertops in the baths are very cheap and beginning to crack and craze already. We ran out of hot water and had to wait quite a while for it to get warm again. The toilet in our room was strangely far away from the wall...very odd...... Read more

Friendly staff, very clean, wonderful breakfast! One tip-- ask for a room on the front. The back of the building faces a busy road, and there was a LOT of road noise until fairly late at night. Other than that, I highly recommend!

This hotel was great. Most suites are simply a larger room. Mine at this hotel was a small apartment My only regret is that I couldn't stay longer. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. The only negative was the parking.

I've stayed in many Hampton Inns around the country, and am a member of the Hilton Honors loyalty program. I was disappointed in the cost of the room and the fact that being a member of Hilton Honors does not result in a significant discount. I was also disappointed in the quality of the mattress, it being less comfortable than I have experienced in other Hamptons.

Hampton Inns are very welcoming. Staff is usually accommodating. Any questions or needs we have are satisfied and with a smile. We can easily find a Hampton Inn in the areas we travel. We find the free breakfasts are convenient for us.

Stopped by on our way to Scottsdale. Upon check in I requested an upgrade to a king suite. Was told that I was already assigned a king studio suite (separate bedroom and sitting room.. comfy chair and ottoman and sofa in living area and full size fridge and wet bar in kitchen with microwave. Stayed here for 1 night before heading up to the grand canyon. 6 of us with 2 rooms total. At checking in, Gianna at the front desk was great and genuinely friendly and got us a great connecting room with one of them a suite. This was perfect as we could all gather together with some wine, cheese, and popcorn for the kids while watching a movie with the fireplace on. The hotel is quick and easy off the highway and walking distance to several restaurants and even a wal mart. Its clean and comfort... Read more

I always enjoy my stay here. I love the rooms and being able to get away from reality to recoop and get back on track. However, my previous visit was as warm at I wanted it to be. However I felt rested and ready to get back to reality. Upon arrival, I came across and wonderful man who was awesome in trying to finding a way to enjoy my stay for the day in Flagstaff.

I booked two rooms for my family and I on 11/5/16. The lobby is inviting and the staff was courteous upon check-in. As we made our way to our rooms the hotel began to feel a bit dated. There was also a very powerful solvent smell that I am assuming was due to the cleaning efforts which I observed. The smell was strong enough to be uncomfortable. The rooms "seemed" clean (more on that in a bit) but had the same dated feeling. There is a modern looking flat screen television in the room but ... Read more

Nice check-in staff and lobby.Get to room and no refrigerator? Come on. Tested and wiped down all surfaces as usual. The toilet is running then shuts off for a few minutes and runs some more. Oh geez. You just know the kids on staff don't know what to do so I take off the toilet tank lid and re-adjust the flapper. Fixed. Alittle dated on furniture. Stayed here for 1 night on the way to the Grand Canyon. We were given a room next to the ice machine and right next to the approach road to the freeway. Cars whizzing past the window all the time. Reception very kindly upgraded us when we went back to speak to them. Thank you! The next room comfortable and breakfast had lots of choices and was hot.

The hotel and staff were nice, but it very much lacked the Hampton feel and quality. The rooms were okay, but again, completely lacked the Hampton feel. If this were just any other hotel, then the place is fine, but for a Hampton it doesn't meet the standards.

This hotel is way better than motels in area. Clean, suites, relatively quiet--there is some highway noise as you are right off of I17...but nice! Internet works well. Breakfast is complete. It is sort of tucked behind some restaurants so a bit hard to find, but worth it.

Loved the location of this hotel. It's right off of I 17 and 40. We used it as a "home base" to visit the Lowell Observatory, Grand Canyon and Sedona. They upgrade our reservation and put us in a 2 queen bed suite. We had plenty of room for the whole family! Enjoyed breakfast that was served daily. They also have a guest laundry room, should you need to do some laundry during your stay. Note- I am a Hilton Honors member. This allows access to free wifi and a lower room rate.

We had an unplanned stay in Flagstaff but the staff and the warm, inviting lobby/seating area made it a pleasant stay. It was a cold and rainy night and the working fireplace made it all better:-) The room was clean (a basement room on level one that I wouldn't recommend based on location only) and very quiet! The breakfast was nicely maintained and offered great coffee to keep me fueled for the long drive home. I recommend The Hampton Inn in Flagstaff.
