We stayed here for several nights as part of a company meeting. The grounds are beautiful, but we weren't crazy about the room. We had a standard room, as we saw several other rooms of those in our party, and they were all identical. A nice feature is that the room was huge and had two big leather chairs in front of a big wood-burning fireplace. However, the lighting was extremely dark. Even in the middle of the day, visibility is low. It's very hard to read in the room. Additionally, the ... Read more

Recently returned from a two night stay at the Boulders and I have to say I can't wait to go back. The surrounding scenery is stunning, the rooms are large, clean, and functional. My visit was very short and I used Honors points, so I cannot comment on the value. I enjoyed that I felt like I was out in the wilderness with rabbits running around and coyotes howling in the morning. The only thing that could be a negative for some is that the resort is pretty spread out and you need to walk or get... Read more

The Boulders offers luxurious accommodations, first-class service, immaculate golf courses, and a relaxing spa surrounded by natural desert and wildlife. The casitas are quiet and well-appointed- just right for any type of getaway. This resort is 5-star perfection!

We have stayed at several resorts in the Scottsdale/Phoenix area. Our children live in Cave Creek so we were closer to them. We work out and play golf, the fitness center and spa were wonderful! We played both golf courses, favorite was the South course, both in great condition. We at breakfast at each of the restaurants - golf course grill was favorite. Spotted Monkey - Mexican food, took the family -this time of year best to have a reservation. The casita was perfect size to have our gra... Read more

The Boulders is even more beautiful than the pictures. I could live here forever! Every staff member we encountered was great from the pool wait staff to the bell staff to the concierge. When we were first taken by golf cart to our casita we realized that a family of four could not fit into the unit we booked online. Our bellman, Urban, called the front desk and we were quickly changed to accommodations better fitting 4 people. We were upgraded to a 2500 sq. ft. villa. Oh my! Pinch me. Th... Read more

The property is beautifully landscaped and offers a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The golf course is well maintained and offers a challenge to even experienced golfers. The food and service at The Spotted Donkey was excellent. Our bellman was personable and went above and beyond on our check in night after a long drive from San Diego. However, other than this the customer service was lacking from the front desk check in employee to the bartenders in the Lodge bar.

It's hard to give a score to a place that rates differently in so many categories because they offer so much. Overall, all ended well and that's because of the staff. Something I didn't realize is Scottsdale is a 30-45 minute drive away. Come to The Boulders to stay otherwise stay in Scottsdale. Your best bet is to move around the whole resort first and get the lay of the land, the amenities and their locations and offerings before getting too far into your stay. Otherwise, you'll miss... Just finished up a 4 day stay at this resort and I must say we thoroughly enjoyed it. The casita was nicely updated and was very comfortable. We loved having a wood burning fireplace and used it every night as well as some mornings. Some people complained about late housekeeping, but we simply called and requested it as we left for our morning activities and always came back to a made up room. Ask, and ye shall receive, seems to be the order of business here. We always had prompt responses to our... Read more

A hidden gem a short plane ride from PHX... fantastic views from every room. 2 golf courses on site (North easier than the south)... really nice restaurants and amenities on site. The staff is SUPER helpful, they make the stay really easy. We came with a large group and their service for breakfast and dinner was fantastic. Would highly recommend for a get away trip or for corporate functions.

The room we had was gorgeous, well proportioned, with a fireplace which added warmth and visual interest on a cold day, and a balcony, which was too cold when we were there tho would be lovely other times. Staff were friendly, although there was a problem with housekeeping which meant no one serviced our room. Two other problems. First, the food was at best mediocre (although the burger was great). My pasta with chili oil was literally swimming in oil. And a minor one: there is a coffee mak... Read more
