Decent clean rooms in a location that not too far from the airport. The tv was nice and showers were clean and hot. It felt great to take a hot bath and relax in the bed while watching Terminator. There is also a breakfast place next door that opens early in the morning, closes mid day, and opens again at night as a bar. The reindeer sausage in the morning from this place was good. Overall, this place wasn't bad but I would have spent more to stay at a nicer place or stayed at a more budget frie... Read more

The hotel was easy to find and in a decent area of Anchorage. They do not serve breakfast but there is a rather pricey restaurant/bar next door (not for kids). The room was rather small. The A/C was not working properly. I opened the window for cool air and a wasp flew in. The chair at the very small desk was very uncomfortable. I thought I was going t fall through the cushion. The Wi-Fi was weak. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. There were no reachable electric outlets by the two... Read more

On May 17, 2016 my family and I stayed at the Ramada 115 East 3rd Avenue in Anchorage, AK. It was not a pleasant experience. We have been flying for about eight hours and was very tired. The condition of this room as we saw it: the smoke detector was disconnected from its plate, some of the sheet and pillows have stains on them, the beds were not made up well, there was to days to the room, the door that lead out to the outside did not have a inside door latch on it just as the door that lead to... We selected this hotel because of the proximity to downtown and the free shuttle service offered to and from the airport. It was great on both of those counts. I thought I saw that a free cont. breakfast was included (like so many other hotels), but it was not. As for the hotel itself, it was generally clean but I'd have to say that time has passed it by. For what we paid, I think I'll look elsewhere next time.

This is an okay hotel but I expected more for the price. It had clean rooms but the cleaning staff was obnoxiously loud in the morning and clearly does not observe the Do Not Disturb signs. Free shuttle and walkable to the weekend market and downtown.

While I wouldn't characterize my recent 7-day stay at the Ramada Anchorage as a disaster I surely will not call it good either. I guess the best thing about the stay was that we did not spend alot of time in the Ramada over our stay. Pros: Price/nt was reasonable, location was close to our activies, Cons: The Ramada Anchorage needs a serious renovation of facilities; accomodations were borderline uncomfortable; and there was a pronounce odor that i still cannot categorize, overall: If I had a... We had to overnight before getting on the cruise ship. This was only a place to rest. The room was next to the rail yard and major road. There was no A/C so we had to open the window to breath. NO SLEEP whatsoever. the place is old and dated. Use this as a last resort. No coffee or breakfast in the morning.. Good point they did have a shuttle to the train station in the morning.

Location of the hotel is great. The staff were very nice. The room itself was hot, not net on the window, so you couldn't leave it open. The window was also broken, and the room did not feel very clean. Would recommend for one night but for longer stays would be worth exploring hotels further from the downtown area that have shuttles.

We used mostly vacation rentals for our Alaska vacation. The location we chose was not available for our last night in Anchorage. Since we were leaving on the train to Fairbanks the next morning, we chose a location near the downtown area/train station. We were looking for something reasonably priced but safe and clean. This hotel is questionable in both areas. The hotel is way outdated - walls need painted, furniture is scratched/dented/broken and the carpets are dirty and rippled. There ... Read more

If you need a place to lay your head for the night, it does the trick. Very outdated. Carpet quite dirty and needing replacing. A place I made sure to try and keep my shoes on. However, management was friendly and though outdated, it was clean enough. It is close proximity to downtown things, so that is convenient.

I was less than impressed with this room. It had some issues with mold and water damage in the bathroom. Because it was an older building, it looked to need a face lift in the room. Lobby seemed fairly nice, but not the room. It needed painted, etc. Also, the heater in the room was broke, so when I asked about it, the front desk informed me that I could come down and get an extra blanket. The positives were that the desk staff and shuttle driver were friendly. The hotel itself was nothing much too look at, not the cleanest, etc. The shuttle arrived late after we called, and we only slept there for about 4 hours before we had to get up and get ready to leave for the train. This is my 4th stay at this Ramada. Good price point and location. No breakfast but there's a restaurant adjacent to the hotel.

The hotel is really needing a room reset. As a national chain hotel, this one isn't up to the standards one would expect from Ramada. With all the tech gear travelers use these days, not having any power outlets except in the bathroom isn't acceptable. The furnishings are 80s vintage, and could be useful in a bonfire. But, the mattress was very comfortable and the setting pretty quiet.

Room was too hot. We couldn't adjust the temperature. Very small and outdated. Overall the entire hotel looked very outdated and run down.
