Rooms are muggy, no free breakfast, uneven floor, threadbare places, beds were very comfortable though.

The bed and pillows were fantastic! I was able to walk into downtown in about 15 min. Walk was easy and scenery was beautiful. The view from my room was more than I expected. I'd definitely stay here again.

Decent clean rooms in a location that not too far from the airport. The tv was nice and showers were clean and hot. It felt great to take a hot bath and relax in the bed while watching Terminator. There is also a breakfast place next door that opens early in the morning, closes mid day, and opens again at night as a bar. The reindeer sausage in the morning from this place was good. Overall, this place wasn't bad but I would have spent more to stay at a nicer place or stayed at a more budget frie... Read more

The hotel was easy to find and in a decent area of Anchorage. They do not serve breakfast but there is a rather pricey restaurant/bar next door (not for kids). The room was rather small. The A/C was not working properly. I opened the window for cool air and a wasp flew in. The chair at the very small desk was very uncomfortable. I thought I was going t fall through the cushion. The Wi-Fi was weak. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. There were no reachable electric outlets by the two... Read more

On May 17, 2016 my family and I stayed at the Ramada 115 East 3rd Avenue in Anchorage, AK. It was not a pleasant experience. We have been flying for about eight hours and was very tired. The condition of this room as we saw it: the smoke detector was disconnected from its plate, some of the sheet and pillows have stains on them, the beds were not made up well, there was to days to the room, the door that lead out to the outside did not have a inside door latch on it just as the door that lead to... We selected this hotel because of the proximity to downtown and the free shuttle service offered to and from the airport. It was great on both of those counts. I thought I saw that a free cont. breakfast was included (like so many other hotels), but it was not. As for the hotel itself, it was generally clean but I'd have to say that time has passed it by. For what we paid, I think I'll look elsewhere next time.

This is an okay hotel but I expected more for the price. It had clean rooms but the cleaning staff was obnoxiously loud in the morning and clearly does not observe the Do Not Disturb signs. Free shuttle and walkable to the weekend market and downtown.

This place is not very good at all . Our room had holes in headboard and nail clippings on floor and room overlooked car park on same level so couldn't open curtains .the attached restaurant/bar Was not great in decor but served quite good food

While I wouldn't characterize my recent 7-day stay at the Ramada Anchorage as a disaster I surely will not call it good either. I guess the best thing about the stay was that we did not spend alot of time in the Ramada over our stay. Pros: Price/nt was reasonable, location was close to our activies, Cons: The Ramada Anchorage needs a serious renovation of facilities; accomodations were borderline uncomfortable; and there was a pronounce odor that i still cannot categorize, overall: If I had a... We had to overnight before getting on the cruise ship. This was only a place to rest. The room was next to the rail yard and major road. There was no A/C so we had to open the window to breath. NO SLEEP whatsoever. the place is old and dated. Use this as a last resort. No coffee or breakfast in the morning.. Good point they did have a shuttle to the train station in the morning.

Location of the hotel is great. The staff were very nice. The room itself was hot, not net on the window, so you couldn't leave it open. The window was also broken, and the room did not feel very clean. Would recommend for one night but for longer stays would be worth exploring hotels further from the downtown area that have shuttles.

We used mostly vacation rentals for our Alaska vacation. The location we chose was not available for our last night in Anchorage. Since we were leaving on the train to Fairbanks the next morning, we chose a location near the downtown area/train station. We were looking for something reasonably priced but safe and clean. This hotel is questionable in both areas. The hotel is way outdated - walls need painted, furniture is scratched/dented/broken and the carpets are dirty and rippled. There ... Read more

We happened to stay during an unusually warm spell in Anchorage. There was no air conditioning in the room, however they provide a fan. It would have been nice to open the window, but it was closed off. The room was standard size and clean. After walking all day around town, it was nice to come back to a comfortable place. The bed and pillows were very comfy. Checking in and out were quick, efficient, and the staff was very nice! The shuttle to the airport was very handy and our driver kept us... Read more

If you need a place to lay your head for the night, it does the trick. Very outdated. Carpet quite dirty and needing replacing. A place I made sure to try and keep my shoes on. However, management was friendly and though outdated, it was clean enough. It is close proximity to downtown things, so that is convenient.

I was less than impressed with this room. It had some issues with mold and water damage in the bathroom. Because it was an older building, it looked to need a face lift in the room. Lobby seemed fairly nice, but not the room. It needed painted, etc. Also, the heater in the room was broke, so when I asked about it, the front desk informed me that I could come down and get an extra blanket. Most places I've stayed that needed something like this, someone brought it to the room. This made me think ... Read more

I stayed in Anchorage for two nights with my wife and this was the only place with rooms for those two days in Downtown anchorage. The staff was okay. They weren't mean or anything, but they were not really helpful or welcoming. The room was very dated. There were no screens on the Windows and no ac so you had to open windows. The curtains didn't shut all the way and since its light out for 18 hours that made it tough. There is a train real close that made loud horn noises. The location was good... Read more

This place is best avoided - is like an old outdated motel. Small cluttered room with 2 beds and small bathroom. Meets 3star rating by having iron & board & fan but these are shoved on floor in open hanging area, between bed and bathroom door Was clean enough, though others in our tour group had unclean rooms. This was the place to stay for the first night of our Cosmos tour - fortunately we'd had 2 nights at the lovely Lakefront first. It's on the edge of town, in homeless part of town. It bec... This Ramada does not honor the name. Unfortunately this hotel was booked for us by Alaska Tour and Travel. It was an unpleasant way to begin and end our trip. The other reviews were correct, it was filthy, things were broken. The carpet in our room was so dirty that you could not remove your shoes and the carpet was so worn that the nails on the floor were showing through and would cut your feet if you were barefoot. We asked for a dryer that worked and that never came. Otherwise the folks a... Read more

Reservations and check in were very easy. We arrived at 10:30 PM from the Alaska Railroad. We called and the hotel picked us up. We only waited maybe 5-7 minutes. The room (106) was on the inside ground floor. Clean, smelled nice. The carpet was stained, but that's probably because it's old. A bit older but we really had no complaints. There was a coffee pot and refrigerator. Bathroom was clean. Staff were very pleasant. No complimentary breakfast, but free coffee in lobby. There is a... Read more

Was looking for a reasonable priced place to stop off for the night Price was still a little high for what I would call a 2 star accommodation The room had an odor of must which we figured out why the next morning when we woke up to a soaked carpet because the AV unit (which was a window unit) mounted inside the room was dripping all night on the floor. Not sure how that ever was a good plan to begin with. Couldn't get a receipt because their printer wasn't working either. Overall for the mo... Read more

For the money, you can find plenty of better alternatives. Rooms smell, generally not clean, old worn out furnishings, no AC and no screens in the widow that overlooked an industrial area. Booked on Ramada name, but would never stay again. Overall, pretty crappy.

The positives were that the desk staff and shuttle driver were friendly. The hotel itself was nothing much too look at, not the cleanest, etc. The shuttle arrived late after we called, and we only slept there for about 4 hours before we had to get up and get ready to leave for the train. I think this must be why the hotel gets booked frequently - because it is very close to the train station to go to Talkeetna, Denali, and Fairbanks. We could hear the trains from the hotel (which actually I like... Read more

We stayed in 3 different rooms on 4 different nights throughout our travels: carpets were stained, A/C didn't work properly, lamps and shades were broken, bedding was torn, no screens in the windows, holes in the walls from previous wall hangings taken down, cracks in the bathroom from the bathtub into the wall. Even something as minor as the word "Iditarod" being misspelled in a photo caption. The shuttle service was accommodating but they were late twice and only one driver even spoke to us.... Read more
