I tried to find an affordable hotel in Anchorage that had a shuttle to the airport. The great reviews made me put the Embassy Suites on the list. The hotel is large, very clean and welll appointed. The rooms are spacious and the beds were fantastic! Another big plus was the made to order breakfast! All of our experiences with employees were consistently good. I would stay here again!

I was completely caught off guard regarding cost of hotel. The room price was as quoted but taxes and additional fees were way high. In fact the additional fees/taxes almost doubled the room rate cost. Meaning the taxes/fees were additional 80-90% of room rate! Yikes for Anchorage and Embassy Suites. Shameful surprise you would give to any guest. You need to provide full disclosure of cost to a guest up front and not after you arrive. Lack of transparency of costs, is deceitful.

After a cruise to Alaska and a four plus hour train ride from Seward to Anchorage I thought staying overnight in Anchorage would be a good idea. The Embassy Suites was very comfortable. Besides the suite there is a fitness center, laundry and pool. Your stay includes a buffet breakfast and a cocktail hour with two drinks and some nibbles. The best part is that the hotel offers a free shuttle to downtown and the airport. We took the shuttle to the Heritage Museum and they picked us up and br... Read more

The hotel lobby is beautiful and very inviting. Suites are clean and spacious. There is plenty of seating for breakfast and happy hour. Cooked to order breakfast and a buffet with everything you might want for breakfast. My only negative, and why I did not give it an excellent rating, is the location. It is not close to the downtown area where all the shops and restaurants are located. But they do have a free shuttle that will take you and pick you up from several downtown locations. But if you... If you want a hotel with amenities, service and value, don't hesitate to book the Embassy Suites, Anchorage. We booked a premium suite, not really knowing what that meant. If you have kids, book the premium suite! They are kind, efficient, and treated me like I was the one and only guest. I cannot say how wonderful of an experience it was to stay at the Embassy Suites in Anchorage. This was my first time at a Hilton Embassy Suites hotel. The suites are spacious, clean, and comfortable. We enjoyed the lovely breakfast everyday; the omelette cook was always in demand. Service was attentive but not intrusive. I had been concerned about being 2 miles away from the convention center but that was not a problem, thanks to the hotel shuttle service. I'd definitely stay here or another Embassy Suites hotel again.

There wasn't anything about this hotel I didn't like. The room was great, restaurant was excellent, much better than average free breakfast, coin laundry, etc. The staff in both the hotel and restaurant were very customer oriented and offered great service. Anchorage was a layover city before we begin our cruise trip down the Alaskan Passage. Overall this hotel hits all the standard requirements. The staff is overall friendly and accommodating. However it is about a 10 minute drive to the downtown area where all the main attractions are (shopping, museums, bike rentals, etc), meaning it is not walking distance.

We stayed at this hotel for one night upon arriving in anchorage and we decided to switch hotels to stay here again the night before leaving anchorage. However, My wife and I come here every year during Thanksgiving and this year was the first time our room wasn't fully clean. The bedroom had hair all over the blankets and sheets. They moved us to another room but then the bathroom had hair in the tub. This wasn't the best stay this time around but all the other times it was completely clean.

My family and I enjoy staying at Embassy Suites in Anchorage due to location, friendly service, access to shopping, and family friendly environment. The breakfast in the morning is especially good due the variety of breakfast items available. The breakfast cook on Friday and Saturday morning was exceptionally helpful and great service.

Excellent service overall 10 day stay - rooms were standard. Two free drinks at happy hour. Workout room with 3 treadmills (1 out of order). Did not use pool or jacuzzi. Good location to restaurants, shopping. breakfast is very good with many options including an omelet bar. Only small issue was told I couldn't get upgrade b/c of rate paid although I am HH Diamond (not because of availability). Would recommend to other people

Excellent full cook to order breakfast none of that bread, bread, and bread breakfast most free breakfast hotels. The staff are deticated to making you feel welcome well taken care of during your stay. Evening managers reception with free drinks and appetizers are a nice way to end your evening at the embassy suites. Another plus free parking. Thank u Tiffany for the 5star service
