Its tucked away in the hustle/bustle of the Dimond Center shopping district, but this hotel is quiet, has beautifully kept grounds, and the rooms are completely unique. Each room has a standard, modern bathtub. Not only that, the tubs have a custom window that you can open to watch TV while you lounge. I've never seen this type of set up anywhere else, and after a day of whatever in Anchorage (for me its usually business), its a great relaxer. I come here a lot on business, and have also us... Enjoyed the stay at this facility. The grounds were kept nice, the rooms were comfortable & the tub was amazing! At first I was apprehensive about the tub, but it's not a Jacuzzi type - it's just a very deep tub! Plenty of hot water to soak your bones at the end of the day AND you can watch TV from it! Breakfast was good - typical hotel fare. What I appreciated the most was the location. It was very accessible, had lots of restaurants nearby, & a WalMart is just next door, which was helpf... The Hotel staff were quite good. Check in and check out were quickly done. My room was clean, good-sized and very quiet, One has a shuttle to the airport, breakfast in the morning and a cookie at night. I will stay there again upon my next visit to Anchorage.

The room is a nice size, the staff was friendly enough and the bath was perfect. Not too many options on the south side of town, so I am thankful it's clean and comfy. I think it's the only Anchorage hotel with an actual soaking tub?? The room also provides a desk.

Stayed 2 nights. Hotel staff very nice and accommodating. Room was very clean. Nice large soaking tub. Very comfortable place to stay. Will stay there in the future. Convenient location next to a mall and many great restaurants. There is also a 24 hour airport shuttle.

The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. I had forgotten to print off tickets to the event my wife and I were attending that night and the clerk was more than willing to print it off for us. The service here was amazing from start to finish!

The location is pretty great- the hotel is in an area with Ulta, Walmart and other stores. Rooms have a huge tub(that was awesome!) The hotel is in need of an upgrade though. Bathroom fixtures were falling apart and it seemed like the bathroom was not cleaned well (or there was stains) For what I paid, it was fine but I might spend a bit more to stay at another hotel next time.

Located about 15 min from the airport, it was an easy drive. We rented a car, but they have a shuttle. Easy check in at about 1 am. Very nice young man at the front desk. The location was great, south part of town right near Seward Highway and in the middle of a major shopping area. A super Walmart right next door for essentials! The room was comfortable and quiet. Free wifi is available. They have a great breakfast buffet included,it was awesome eggs, sausage, waffles, juice coffee, biscuits,gra... Read more

This hotel itself is nice although not terribly fancy. It's in the parking lot of the mall which means rooms look out over mall buildings and parking lots and the décor is nice but modest. But its amenities are comparable to the other nicer hotels and the cheaper AK Resident rate in the summer is one great reason to stay here. There's a lot of eating out and shopping to be done nearby, a good nails place, good sushi, a good coffee shop nearby, free and easy to find parking here, easy online r... Read more

This hotel need a bit of an upgrade. The rooms are not well maintained and need a bit of redo. The breakfast was not too bad but could be better, Although having said that I don't think they can do better while charging the rates that they do.

We used to truly love staying here. Even though it's in an odd location, the rooms had us hooked. Has the management changed? This time the room didn't seem fresh, and the staff was unconcerned. They seemed very distracted by a large group of Asian tourists. The bar that used to be downstairs has closed. When we atttempted to buy a snack from the little kiosk, the desk clerk was too busy. I just don't think it's worth staying here anymore. (For those that don't know the area: this is in ... Read more

This is nominally a non-smoking hotel but that is apparently not enforced. I had to change rooms due to eye-burning second-hand smoke from the the ventilation system. Second room was only a little better. Problem may have been the staff smoking area near the air intake by the backdoor of the hotel. Otherwise, the rooms were spacious, well-kept (except for the smoke smell) and well equipped, and staff were friendly and helpful. If you are sensitive to smoke, go somewhere else.

We stayed in 4 hotels during our trip to Alaska, and this one was the nicest of the bunch. It was clean; the room was large; and the breakfast was hearty. If you are coming to Anchorage, stay at this hotel.

We stayed at this hotel the first two nights after we arrived from Pennsylvania. It is comfortable, clean, and convenient. The rooms are spacious. It is a large building so the halls are very long. The lobby has a great seating area with tremendous views of the mountains and the parking lot of the shopping mall where the hotel is situated. It is located in the southwest section of Anchorage so it is a drive to downtown. The airport is an easy drive as well. Owned by a native people the decor ... Read more

Nice and clean hotel. Room is spacious just like most American hotel, with huge bed for Asian size and pretty and also spacious bathroom. The hotel has laundry machine so we can do our own laundry. Moderate breakfast. Very near shopping center/restaurants area so it was easy to get dinner. A bit far from anchorage city center but we had good rest because the location is quite.

I was in a crunch to get a room and the staff at Dimond Center Hotel were amazing. They were quick to respond in a sold out situation and somehow found a way to come through. Great location and close to everything on the Southside of Anchorage. Easy freeway access and plenty of parking for the RV.

We stayed here several days and really enjoyed our stay here. Be sure to ask for the courtesy gift slip to get you into the Dimond Gym located a short walking distance away. They have a lovely outdoor seating area at this complex. This complex is located 1 minute walking to Walmart, certainly a feature many people would love. Huge modern rooms with huge bath tubs that have designer window that open to the bedroom area. This is a non smoking property, certainly a plus for us.

This hotel is located 6 miles from the old downtown city centre but it is next to the Diamond Center Shopping Mall that is handy for fast food outlets. You are able to walk to a good restaurant that is on the other side of the mall across the street. The room was large and spacious also the bathroom with a large soaker tub. Bed very comfortable and everything clean. Continental breakfast substantial with waffles.

We showed up at 10pm and they told us that they did not have our room available anymore. They said they had no double Queen bed rooms for our family of four. Instead we should have a king room and figure it out. They did not care at all. They then said they would see if they could find us two roll away beds. They could only find one and then at 11 they found a second one. They made us make up these beds ourselves and the first set of sheets had inappropriate stuff left over from the previous gue... We were coming through Anchorage on our big Alaska trip and needed a hotel for 1 night. The Dimond was fine. It is a typical business hotel (offering attractive weekend rates). Everything works, nice and friendly personnel and well appointed. The room is quite large and has a bit unusual layout with a huge bath tub with a folding door providing a "view" of the rest of the room. We were here 2 nights as part of our Wedding Anniversary Vacation. Top floor - end room - huge - lots of space for our cases and the bath was a delight. I could swim in it! Didn't take too long to fill either. Breakfast was nice too - all the staples covered. Really comfy bed. Views were not all that - as in a shopping complex - but could see mountains in the distance. Great base for exploring the area.
