It was the nicest and most efficiently run Embassy Suites I've stayed at! Great staff and wonderful restaurant, bar and happy hour staff! The room was very clean and spacious. Good linens and towels. Beautiful entry way and front of hotel. Very quiet for a downtown location.

Stayed here on a recent college visit. This is a clean, beautiful hotel in a great downtown location. We enjoyed sitting on the patio and in the lobby with our complimentary drinks during happy hour. A full complimentary breakfast is offered in the morning with made to order omelette, etc... The hotel is a little over a mile away from campus--not quite walking distance but one of the closest hotels to the university. A comfortable and lovely place to stay.

Great facility, new, modern all the typical services you'd expect from an Embassy Suites, but a new look and feel to the facility. Super close to the university, I would stay here every time I come to Tuscaloosa.

First, and maybe foremost for many, this is a new, clean hotel with excellent 'efficiency' style rooms. Pleasant lobby area, lots of parking and great location. Unfortunately, staff are terrible. We had occasion to deal with the manager, Steve, and he is great but everyone else was awful. One example: Checked in early on my Hilton profile which asks for a high floor - they gave us the second floor. When we asked Allison if it was noisy she kind of said it was. No problem. We waited about 3 hours... Read more

Our family stayed at this property when visiting the University of Alabama. It was an excellent property in a great location. It is always a plus to have a two room suite. There is no parking fee. We utilized the pool area which was nice. The cooked to order breakfast was included and was delicious. The hospitality time each evening was also a plus. We ate in the restaurant on property and found that to be good as well. Overall, I would not want to stay anywhere else when visiting the area... Read more

We stayed at the Embassy Suites while on a college tour at UA. The evening cocktails and breakfast were great. The four stars are due to the street noise. Make sure you get a room on the back side of the hotel. We had a hard time resting due to the noise from the street. We were on the 7th floor and it was still pretty loud. The hotel is great minus the street noise.

I was traveling west and stopped in Tuscaloosa for the night. I really wanted something away from the major interstate and highways so I could get a good nights rest. My husband called this property and specifically requested a quiet room. I checked in around 9:30pm and was informed that they were not busy at all and the room I had was quiet and on the 4th Floor. I walked in and before even turning on the lights there was a very loud hum filling the room. I looked out the window and was dir... Read more

This was a beautiful, stylish, clean, and incredibly friendly stay. I would stay here again without question. Convenient with location close to many fine eateries, shops, a riverwalk, and the University of Alabama campus. Nice pool and fitness center (although we were too tired from walking the surrounding area to use them). As an Alabama Crimson Tide fan, I also appreciated the tasteful houndstooth and crimson incorporated in the decor. Very impressed!

This hotel is located near a variety of local restaurants within walking distance. You do need to drive if you are going to the University of Alabama but is is only a few minutes ride. You can also walk to the start of the river walk. What I like the most was how well lighted public areas were. The normally dark elevator lobby has a nice set of windows with a nice town view. This hotel is beautiful. It's clean. Showers are nice. Bed is comfortable. I love that there is a restaurant and bar located on the ground floor. Free breakfast and happy hour is a plus. Staff appeared happy and very helpful. Only one CON I can think of is the room I stayed in was directly facing traffic so I could hear the road noise, however a radio or tv would drown that out. Nice new hotel. The evening reception was a nice touch, if a little sparse. The breakfast was OUTSTANDING! Got staff recommendations to a great restaurant within walking distance. Amazon accommodations, service, and location. I've stayed here several times and wouldn't stay anywhere else in Tuscaloosa. The complimentary breakfast is amazing, the wi-fi is never spotty, and the staff is the nicest! Also, The Side by Side restaurant downstairs is absolutely stunning. :) Stay here.

Lodging is very price sensitive to my organization, and location and amenities are what allowed me to stay at this property. Competition is 2 other hilton properties in the area ( Garden Inn and the Hampton Inn) as well as the Marriott Courtyard. The point is the $25 rate differential is as high as I can justify, and as an example you can use my trip at the end of June, wher I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn instead of the Embassy and saved close to $50 per night.

Our 4th visit to Tuscaloosa, and our first stay at the Embassy Suites. Perfect location. Downtown, but very close to campus. Close to all the good restaurants. Hotel offers a shuttle to and from games - easiest way to get to campus. Hotel is clean and new and beautiful. The staff was helpful and friendly. Terry - hardest working guy ever. We wondered if he slept at all the whole weekend! He was at the front of the hotel and making sure everything was running smoothly. Thanks! Hope to ... Read more

Avoid this hotel if you are planning on staying in Tuscaloosa. First, let me say that I have been a Hilton Diamond member for over a decade. For what it's worth, nobody cares, especially the management at this hotel. Anyway, I had a reservation at this hotel booking a rate of $184 for three days. This was my rate at the time of booking. The rate was changed on the last two nights to almost $600! Nobody bothered to inform me until it was too late for other accommodations. I called the Hilton Diam... Read more

This is the best hotel in Tuscaloosa. I have been coming to Tuscaloosa for work and personal trips and its such a relief to finally have a nice hotel in town. The staff at this location is great and always polite. You don't have housekeeping yelling in the hallways every morning starting at 8 like you do at the Holiday Inn. Its easy to come and relax there because you are close to everything you need, You're just across the street from Chucks and about 20 more restaurants and bars, however, ... Read more

Location, staff, services, cleanliness, price all top notch! Definitely be back. We have stayed at several hotels in T-Town and this was by far the best one! Top notch facility all the way around! The only negative is the water pressure in the shower was a little soft for my liking.....but I can live with that

Both meeting room and personal room facilities were superb, but the personal touch was apparent when I misplaced my spiral bound organizer with personal and professional data on it. Following a telephone call to Front Desk and Housekeeping, it was found in my room and is being Fed Exed to me as I type. Thanks Housekeeping; Thanks "Anthony" at the front desk!
