Clean, new, nice rooms, great amenities, friendly staff, best free breakfast of any hotel chain...fresh berries, egg scrambles, "Starbucks-like" breakfast sandwiches, several other options for cereal (hot & cold) and waffles.

From the moment that I entered to register, the service was outstanding. My room was very large - complete with two queen beds, a sitting area, and a kitchenette that included a full refrigerator, dishwasher, and microwave. The room was very clean and smelled good. The location was within walking distance of several places to eat. I will stay here again when I am in the area.

The staff was absolutely amazing! Every employee we encountered had a smile on their face, and greeted us every time we came and went each day/night. The rooms were beautiful and clean, and OH MY the sheets!!!!! They must have been a million thread count! We were there for the 2016 cheer camp and stayed for 4 days. On one particular occasion at 11:00pm, we went to the front desk to ask where we could get some chocolate milk for one of the cheerleaders, we had enjoyed a glass of wine by their... Read more

This hotel was full of friendly staff. The rooms were very contemporary and the beds were very comfortable. Because it was late at night, the location was a little difficult to navigate, but there were plenty of options to choose from for a late night dinner that we could walk to and not have to navigate the one way streets late at night. The price was a little high, but it was a holiday weekend, so we weren't too surprised. Overall, we were pleased with our stay.

Stayed two nights with two teenagers, aged 14 and 16 for college tour. Location is good- can walk to restaurants. Stayed in the king suite with pull out sofa. Sofa not big enough for two teens which would be fine but hotel doesn't have any cots so one teenager slept on floor. Hotel has great potential but morning breakfast (included) had dirty utensils and not kept clean behind people. Very disappointing because this could be a great hotel. I'm not one to typically write reviews, but this hotel surpassed my expectations. The staff, Carl and Nancy at check-in, were incredibly helpful and kind. The rooms are new, spacious, clean and fully equipped for any need. The beds are outrageously comfy. Another reviewer commented on how comfortable and soft the sheets are; I thought she might have been exaggerating, but she wasn't one bit. I have 650 thread count sheets on my bed at home and these are way better to the point where I'm seeking ... Read more

This is a first class hotel with Super Clean rooms, great breakfast, good coffee, warm greetings, great amenities in the room and very quite. I have shared my experience with other family and friends. Inside the lobby they have newspapers to read to relax your mind, complimentary apples to enjoy, vendor machine with snacks, and TV to watch. The hotel is on a quite street with surrounding stores and living quarters.

We stayed here for the week of our daughter's Bama Bound orientation. The bed was very comfortable; a great plus. We stay on a back hotel room so no street noise from either direction. The staff was kind, professional and knowledgable. Great team work. I was not happy that my military rate only applied for one day of stay when we call to extend visit for the entire week. Although it seem unfair it's a business in the end profits count.

This was our first stay at the Home2 Suites. We were thoroughly impressed with this fantastic property. The hotel is only one-year-old and, as expected, is in superb shape. The hotel staff did everything possible to make sure that our stay was an enjoyable one. Rooms are large with lots of shelving for storage. Our stay at the Home2 Suites was wonderful! The rooms were spacious and clean, check-in was easy, and the service was fantastic! The beds were very comfortable and the shampoo came out of dispensers instead of those tiny hotel bottles- just make sure to bring your own conditioner and lotion or to ask for it at the front desk because they were not provided in the room. Our room was perfect for 4 and included an extra pull-out bed with a curtain separator.

The hotel is great and my stay was wonderful. However, July 4th, there is fireworks over the river that everyone in Tuscaloosa parks at the hotel parking lot. We arrived at 845 that night planning to go up to the room and watch the fireworks from there but instead we couldn't park until 10:30 when the fireworks finished and people finally we're going home. One thing you can say about Home2Suites, they try. I really would like to be able to give this hotel a 5, but I'm afraid it falls a little short because there are some clear potholes on the road to its attempt at elegance. Great location downtown near lots of restaurants. New hotel in great condition. Friendly, helpful staff. Close proximity to University of AL. Good football game location and they have a nice tailgate (burgers and hotdogs) before every game.

This was a perfect stay for large families or groups staying together. The room has a full kitchen with a Kureg coffee maker. We had room to blow up an air mattress, because the kids would rather stay on an air mattress than the pull out couch. There is a curtain divider between the beds and the couch area so you can dress and have a little privacy while someone occupies the bathroom. I wish the bathroom had a vent to pull out the hot steam from the shower.

Stayed here one night for a concert at the amphitheater. Only a 5 min walk to the venue from the hotel. Mobile checkin was awesome. Picked my own room and was in it in less that 5 minutes. Staff was super friendly and the rooms were nice and clean. Breakfast was decent but the whole grain waffles were terrible. All in all, as a HHonors member, this hotel gives the Hilton brand a high mark.

The rooms and amenities are nice for the price but everything else is very basic. I have no problems with the new concept of simple and clean hotels at budget prices; in fact, sometimes I prefer them to the high touch fancy hotels. However, this one is too basic. Sheets are a very low-end fabric as is everything else. Service is patchy. Breakfast is barely existent. And so on... Hilton could add a few cents to these places and make dollars of difference.

Thought I try this new place in downtown Tuscaloosa. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Every was brand new with lots of security. Key card for entry after 10 pm and to access elevator. Rooms were big and suite like with appliances and small kitchen but the decor was designed like a dorm very sterile. I'd rather stay at a Hampton which is more cozy. Love the fact you could walk around downtown. University campus within walking distance, approximately a mile to the stadium and Riv... Read more

First time to a Home2 Suites, but I think it is a new concept for Hilton. Nonetheless, it is perfect for one or multiple nights: Like an upscale extended stay hotel with a refrigerator, dishwasher, furnished with kitchen supplies and a Kerig Machine! Very impressive and a staff that is helpful and remembers your name! Also, dog friendly for smaller dogs. Thank you to Shar for all your help during our stay.

My husband and I stayed here for a concert at the amphitheater. We loved the room. It was nice and spacious and very clean. We stay at a lot of hotels and I'm always checking everything to see if it's clean. This one was super clean. The lady at the desk was friendly when coming in around 11 from the concert. We were buying some snacks and there were no chips so she went to find some for us to purchase. We will most certainly stay here again. We throughly enjoyed our night.

The rooms were wonderful and very clean. My only complaint was the breakfast. I just wish there were more breakfast options. It was also a little odd that the waffle makers made Texas-shaped waffles when we were in Alabama. The sheets were incredibly soft!

From the moment we checked in we realized Hilton had created something special with their Home2 brand. Well appointed rooms with kitchen amenities that rival those of nearly all hotels or time shares. The lobby area is well light, open and extremely inviting. Restaurants, bars and shopping are just two blocks away and extend for over a mile into campus.

Full refrigerator, microwave, dishes, coffeemaker, everything. They also had blackout curtains which made the room nice and dark. Rooms are very large with kitchens and plenty of storage for a longer stay. Beds, pillows, water pressure all good. Bathroom too small. Impossible for two people to get ready together. Front desk and breakfast staff super friendly and helpful. Housekeeping friendly, but have weird cleaning policies depending on day and length of stay. Breakfast was more limited than other places with all hot items packaged individually and needing to be microwaved. Small indoor pool. Gym small, but well ... Read more

The location and value was good and we loved that the place was very new and clean in general. However, we did experience a few glitches which we dealt with but they still need to work out the kinks. We enjoyed a long stay in Home 2 suites as we were on a short term scholarship to UA. The hotel is very clean and the staff was so friendly. If you want to avoid seeing the Northport bridge and the thunders while sleeping, ask for a front view room, much quieter and the scenery is more pleasant, otherwise it was flawless.

Went to visit our son for the weekend. The hotel looked nice, was in a nice area, and the room was nice, However, I wouldn't say the breakfast was very good at all. The variety was slim, and we really couldn't find anything we liked. The waffles were multi-grain or something, and the hot items were in microwave packaging. The basic fare of fruit, yogurt, and coffee was OK,but we went out for breakfast each day. The staff was friendly.
