The room was disgusting. Trash under the furniture, fingernails on the floor, mold in the bathroom. We arrived late and had no choice but to stay that night, but we cut our stay short and found a new hotel. Worst hotel experience in 25 years of travel.

The only positive here is the friendly front desk person. The room has a couch in it that needs to be in the dump. The smoke alarm was hanging by the wires from the ceiling. Mini refrigerator needs to be defrosted. chair at desk has missing wheel. sheets are gray looking. If we had not been so tired we would have gone elsewhere. continental breakfast was adequate. I would not stay here again and can not recommend.

Awful experience! Checked in past midnight and had to check-in through a small window. When we got to our room, our key cards did not work. We went back to the small window and got new cards. Again, these didn't work. The front desk employee came and opened up our door with a master key. Told us there was nothing he could do about the key cards and if we planned to go anywhere just make sure someone stayed behind to open the door! Crazy! We asked for another room, but of course he didn't a... Read more

We were desperate for a room during graduation weekend in Tuscaloosa, since the motel we had originally booked was nowhere we would ever stay it was so bad, and the man at the front desk was extremely helpful and managed to get us in for 3 nights that we needed. The price was high for an Econo Lodge, but all hotels were jacked up pricewise for Un of Al graduation, but it was clean and the bed was comfortable. It needs some updating and the breakfast could be improved, but we were just thankful ... Read more

Stopped at this Econo Lodge for an overnight stay. The lady at check-in was very pleasant and efficient. The room was nicely furnished and everything worked. The only thing I saw was the calking in the bathroom needed to be redone. I would stay here again.

These people are con artists. Don't stay here!! We cancelled within the allotted time (...only 30 minutes after initial reservation) and they wouldn't refund our full balance. Charges us a $50 fee. Furthermore, we stayed at the hotel last year. It's a dump and we only use it as a last resort on football weekends, etc. Seriously, I think there were blood stains on the walls. The place is awful. If this is the only place in town, consider sleeping under a nice overpass bridge or dumpster o... Read more

Booked four rooms for our employees, by third day we had experienced enough dealing with cockroaches... on the walls, on the floor, on the door frame. Tried to discuss with manager but found him to be unreasonably defensive. He did offer to let our employees switch rooms but by this time too much had transpired for us to stay there another night. Under the threat of legal action he negotiated a partial refund of the charges they had already placed on our credit card. After several days and repea... Read more

Super dirty roach infested motel. Staff is very rude. We had 4 rooms. All of which were extremely dirty and roach infested. I killed 7 roaches in my room the morning we left. One room had no shower curtain. The chairs in every room we had were broken. One room had blood stains all over the carpet and wall and we had to have the room changed. All of the rooms had stained nasty linens. House keeping does not actually clean the rooms. We found cig butts and blunt roaches under and around furniture ... Read more

We stayed at the Econo Lodge over the weekend to see an football game. As you know in a football city hotel rooms go quick. I called Choice Privilege to get a room. They stated that Econo Loge was the only avalible place to stay. So we checked and the front desk staff was a little rude and unhelpful, in finding good places to eat. We checked into our room, it was decent. It was not until we came back from the game that we noticed the lack of care to the room. The reson we did not notice it was b... Read more
