I first want to share my background, I have been an event coordinator for over 13 years for social and coorporate events. My background is hospitality and sales for over 26 years. I would not refer any clients to this hotel at this time. We had to arrange for a hotel quickly in Montgomery due to a death in the family. I called and spoke to a live person to ensure that I was getting exactly what we needed as far as a room. The reason for this is beacause we are traveling last minute with a todd... Read more

Was there for four nights with a regional conference. Nice staff but they never could seem to get their act together. Service in the restaurant was always disorganized. I ate lunch there the first day and breakfast there on three mornings. We arrived at the hotel at 1 p.m. and were told our rooms wouldn't be ready until 3 p.m. When we returned at 3 p.m. they told us our rooms still weren't ready but they were checking folks in and giving them room keys in the line next to us. The concierge lounge was great and the staff there was very pleasant and helpful. They obviously love their job! The outdoor bar is busy with good music and a nice happy hour. It is one of the best places to meet and gather, downtown

Enjoyed this hotel and the area around it. Spent a night here with friends...only disappointment was the bar was not open at the pool and they cancelled the band that was suppose to play due to rain. Several great restaurants around with in walking distance. Will definitely come back!

Stayed here for a conference in late April 2016. Several aspects of the facility were above average, including: large windows and city view from hotel room, quality of food and catering staff (I ordered vegan meals for the conference, and they were very good), easy to walk to area restaurants, live music at hotel bar in outside patio area with fire pits. I've rated this hotel just "average" because there were a few areas that could use improvement. For starters, they had overbooked (had a couple... Read more

Valet parking is $19, self parking is $12 around the back of the hotel. We got in around 8:45pm and requested a luggage cart, I wanted to load the luggage myself. We opted for valet and they parked our car. As we were walking into the hotel there was a live band playing on the side of the hotel, nice. Our room seems clean. We have 2 queens overlooking the parking lot. There are 4 pillows on each bed. The desk is unlike any I've seen in a hotel, it's got TV outlets and such. There is a refrigera... Read more

This was our required hotel for a recent ball tournament. The hotel was great with lots to do in the area. We got a great price due to the blocked rooms for the tournament. The only complicated thing about the hotel was changing elevators to get to the parking deck and pool/spa. Also, I understand wanting to see your wares but you could not have a single item anywhere that wasn't bought through the hotel including drinks. Not good!!!! Staff was some of the best I have dealt with at a hotel... Read more

Switched to the Renaissance after being stuck for four nights at the Embassy Suites across the street. What an amazing difference in all aspects. Spent the extra $ to be on the 12th (club) floor. Amazing snack buffet in the evening and outstanding breakfast reception. All while enjoying super tall CLEAN windows facing Union Station and the river. I would recommend this hotel 1000% over the Embassy. Thanks for a fantastic stay!

This hotel almost has it all, great location, great facilities, well kept, and excellent price. However, the staff significantly detracted from the package. We called the front desk and requested a blanket, 3 hours and 3 phone calls later, it finally arrived. Absolutely ridiculous. The breakfast staff in the restaurant was horrible. Other than those distractions, the pool and gym are nice and the bar is awesome with live entertainment.

This hotel was super nice and very clean. The only drawback was that the hallways were so loud (doors slamming, talking, etc.) This is a business hotel so people are up early (in my opinion). It is a great location and you can easily walk to the river, restaurants, etc. Parking is $12 a day in the adjoining deck. Wifi is free for basic or $10 a day to upgrade. We kept the basic but it was slow at times. We will stay here again.

The beds are very comfortable. It is a modern hotel with a beautiful pool, excellent 24 hour fitness center, and a running track on top of the building. They let us get a late check out which was appreciated. The rooms could use a little more maintenance though . There were some black stains on our carpet right near the entrance to our room and the furniture had some dust. However, overall it was a beautiful room. We would stay here again.

Renaissance is in the downtown location where there are great restaurants and the waterfront. Once you park the car, there is no need to ever leave during your stay.

This hotel is definitely top of the line. I was in town for my birthday weekend and I must say, this hotel did not disappoint. From beginning to end, the staff was very friendly and accommodating, rooms very clean from top to bottom, and restaurants and night life within walking distance. The only complaint I would have would be the pillows, as they were very hard and somewhat uncomfortable. Otherwise, a great stay overall and definitely the place the stay when visiting Montgomery.

Beautiful and large hotel. Unable to stay in the hotel as they didn't have any rooms available at the government rate.
