I stayed here a couple of nights ago with my sister. Our room, which was on the very end of the building, had cigarette butts and junk laying on the floor when we went in. It was as if it had not been vacuumed at all after the last guest. The toilet was broken. The bathroom was so tiny you could not shut the door and it absolutely stank of mildew. The rest of the room reeked of moist cigarette. There was paint on the curtains! Who is so lazy they don't remove the curtains to paint a room? And lo... Read more

This is a great little motel, my only (small) complaint is that they don't have an elevator and I was on the second floor with a big bag. They had great wi-fi that seemed to work anywhere in the room. I booked this hotel on hotwire.com for $44, $54 with taxes. The bed and linens where great, definitely upscale from what I was expecting or used to in this price range. I found the hotel quiet and clean, would be a good regular stay if I came here on business. The complimentary breakfast was mostly... Read more

First there are TWO La Quinta properties adjacent to each other. Make sure you know which one you're taking with when reservations are made. We stated at the two storey property, the multiple storey La Quinta (Inn & Suites) is adjacent. So, our hotel was the more basic model of the two. And being a fairly frequent patron of the La Quinta brand I'd say it was near the entry level of their hotels/motels. We got an end room, fairly close to the off ramp and I thought we might have noise proble... Read more

Someone needs to tell the folks here that there is a need for outlets in convenient locations and refrigerators. The bedding is fine. The AC works. The rooms are clean. But there really is nothing to bring you back. There is newer and better. Stay here if you must.

This place was the worst do not stop here with a family . The front desk agent was pleasant but my room key did not work she had to walk down to open the door. Now onto the Eeewe the room was dirty there were toe nails in the sheets. Bodily fluids and hairs on the bed. I did not want to touch anything . We were surrounded by sketchy characters I did not complain cause I was too scared to leave my 5 year old and dog or to have them have to walk outside. This is not a place for women and children ... I was in Montgomery, AL for my daughters graduation a week or so ago. I chose La Quinta East bypass to stay for 3 nights. It was very cheap and semi close to where I was going to be. Total mistake! The very 1st night When I returned for some long needed sleep. I pulled back the sheets to find a large stain on the sheet which appeared to be human. I went to bed #2 and it looked okay. So I layed down to sleep. Wrong! The swimming pool was right outside my door and it sounded as if there was a loud... Read more

Very good value for the money. The rooms were very nice and had great sleep quality. The breakfast was good for a continental breakfast. The grounds had a few empty bottles laying around, but nothing that would hinder the stay and I answered a survey suggesting that they have their clean-up crew check the grounds more often. Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay for an overnight experience while traveling.

Our trip was pleasant even though we did have a few minor issues with our hotel room. Upon arrival the room had a strong odor of mold or musty air, to which we at first disregarded; however the next morning we did notice that the extractor fan in the bathroom was not working and the air conditioner was not cooling even though it was set for 68 degrees. We also noticed that the refrigerator was not cooling and had moisture all around the base and continuously leaked onto the carpet, maintaining ... Read more

The first room they put us in reeked so strongly of cat urine I couldn't breathe and the sheets had human hair on them. They gave us a new room that smelled okay but it also had human hair on the sheets. I called and asked for clean sheets. The person at the desk said he didn't know if they had any but would look. He found some and brought them to our room where we changed the sheets ourselves. Also, the outside of the hotel is very dirty and needs a pressure wash badly. It was noisy enough dur... Read more

We stayed here as a part of a travel softball group. I would never have picked this place had I been choosing on my own. I'm pretty sure it is a crack house. Cars rolled in and out of the parking lot at all hours. The floor in the bathroom is all bubbled up from water damage and there are stains on the walls. The air conditioner did work well which was what saved us on this very hot weekend. The pool was not a clean option at all! Debris was floating in it and the water was very cloudy. You coul... From the beginning of our arrival the Check in Employee was sooooooooo nice and courteous. We arrived early and room wasn't ready, this young lady and Mom of 3, invited us to come into the lobby out of the heat, gave us directions where we could get some food, and then invited us to eat in the lobby while the room was being cleaned. She gave us good directions to the casino, small talk, smiles, personable just a very positive experience at our arrival. The room was a pleasant surprise. Clean, cl... Read more

This is a simple, old-timey motor inn that was just what I was looking for - inexpensive, convenient to downtown Montgomery and convenient in that I can park right outside my door and run to the car whenever I like. The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was simple, but with everything I like - cereal, instant grits, fruit & fruit juices - as well as pre-packaged muffins and bagels, oatmeal, etc. and the person who worked at the front desk and oversaw the kitchen was very friendly.

This particular LaQuinta is very adequate for the price paid for rental. Good location, friendly staff. Breakfast was minimal, but what do you expect in a bargain hotel. I will stay here again in the future. I have travelled extensively and stayed in hotels ranging from $1.50 per night to over $300 per night. This facility is clean and meets basic needs.

We stopped here as the last stop in a road trip destination - as it seems most of the other hotel options were sold out. We also thought it was a part of the La Quinta Inn & Suites which is seriously right next door to it (with a carmicheal road address instead of east blvd). POSITIVE ASPECTS: They had vacancy! The price was amazing! The pool was very nice! Wifi worked! Bed linens were clean! It is right off of the highway! Everything else was you get what you pay for. OLD & IN NEED O... Read more

When I called to make my reservation the gentleman who took my information was very unprofessional he did not ask for a credit card nor did he give me a conformation number. He told me he had me down, but never have I known a establishment to not get a credit card when making reservation or give a conformation number. I called the next day and I did not have reservations. I called the Manager and she had a very poor attitude, showed no concern.

Just finished a one night stay. Chose LaQuinta because of its pet friendly policy. Also via Expedia we got a nice price. The room was nice and clean. Check in person was efficient and helpful. There can be a little mix up as there are two Laquintas side by side, one identified as on Carmichael Road and the other as on the Eastern Bypass, why 231. It looks as if LaQuinta bought out an existing motel and changed the name. We checked in early, a I was surprised how full the place was by the ... Read more

...but...I checked out 6 hours ago and even my Kleenex reeks of cigarette smoke! There are two LQ's next door to each other so I hope I'm posting about the correct one. The room seemed clean but the smell was atrocious. Would not stay here again. Oh, and, yes it was a NON-smoking room. I asked.

My husband and I were on a road trip back to Austin, and needed a place to crash for the night. Given that we were going to be in the room for ~9 hours, we didn't want to spend a fortune. I stumbled upon this location, and figured we would give it a try - even though it was $70 pre-tax. I would say that this hotel is extremely mediocre, and basic. The staff at the front desk was somewhat friendly, but nothing special. When we checked in, they had our keys already made and the check in process ... Read more

There are TWO LaQuintas at Eastern Bypass Montgomery. Be sure to ask which one you're staying in when reserving your room. We asked for a King Suite and got one of 2 rooms located on an inside hallway. The room was great and HUGE, but you're also right next to the vending machines and ice maker. BUT... for the price, the size of the room and comfort of the space is outstanding. Other family members stayed in a ground floor king room and were happy with their space for the price as well.

For business I've stayed at this hotel for the last four years. Know what to expect. Always stay on the ground floor - the even numbered rooms facing east. They are clean and neat. The bathroom area is a little dated. I was impressed with the colorful light weight bed cover. Very nice. The internet works well. Over the air conditioner there was a clear acrylic curtain holder - impressed because do motels rarely make the effort to do something about flying curtains.

Too early in the afternoon for a drink so we costed on in with a dead battery and no money to speak of since we had not been able to get to a bank.
