The staff was friendly and room was clean. Breakfast was good and what was expected of a complimentary morning meal. The lobby was comfortable for visiting with my extended family. For the area I felt the price was very good.and having to write 200 characters is repetitive.

Ok - I have stayed at a lot of Hamptons in my business career but this one gets an A++++. The room was quite, cool and cozy. The comforter on the bed I wanted to take home with me. The staff where so pleasant and helpful. Only issue is parking, I know they have valet - but maybe that should be part of the cost of the hotel stay since it is impossible to find parking.

Staff was great, room was clean but carpet seemed to be a bit sticky. Bathroom door wouldn't open fully (hit on toilet). Ice machine didn't work on our floor. Great location and yes I'd stay here again.

This is a nice venue in the Montgomery city downtown area. Close to river and excursion boat. Helpful staff, very pleasant hotel, and very nice breakfast . This is a somewhat unique Hampton in my experience, and a nice value

Everyone was friendly and helpful from the time we arrived until the time we left. I even asked for chairs to be brought to visit with family and right away they figured out what would work for me and accommodated us. The Room was clean and perfect size for a large group! The pull out couch was pretty bad when pulled out. Thank God I didn't sleep on that but the other beds were amazing. Love the breakfast! Tell Nat Hello when checking in! He gave us a map of the area and helped us with our acti... Read more

Great place in Montgomery to stay. Location is great and close to Riverwalk and many wonderful restaurants. This area has really changed for the better in the past few years. We would definitely stay there again.

Clem rooms, nice, comfortable beds. Staff very helpful with questions. Located in The Alley Starion area within a 1 block walking radius of several restaurants. Felt safe. We parked on arrival and didn't need the car until leaving the following morning.

Hotel was clean and lovely. It was understaffed and ill equipped. There were no luggage carts available on check in. Was told we had to park on the street somewhere. It took some time to find parking. There were little half pillows on the king bed. There was only one spare half pillow in the hotel per the staff.

Breakfast lady needs help! She must have mistaken the sugar for the salt, or the oatmeal for soup, as the oatmeal was salty. The boiled eggs were rotten- the odor after I cracked the shell just spoiled my breakfast, and I couldn't summon myself to eat anymore. On the positive side- free parking, excellent location.

My family stopped overnight to catch a Buscuits baseball game on our way to Florida. We always stay at Hilton brand hotels, so we chose this Hampton Inn due to proximity to the ball field. The location was great. Lots of restaurants nearby and within walking distance. Staff was not the friendliest, but the hotel accommodations suited our needs and were well maintained. I would stay here again.

No parking places instead of street parking. No complimentary items but they advertise they have it. Bath room has a mold/mildew all the corners that feel disgust. Valet parking was good but remember you need wait more than 20 minutes to get your car.

I called to check on self parking based on reviews because I have a 7am flight. Was told its full and I have to valet park. Period. Also told they'll have the valet park the car in the back or in the roundabout- not to worry because the do it all the time for early flights. When I checked in the unfriendly lady at the front desk told me the same thing. Needless to say I woke up at 1230am with this nagging at me. Called the front desk to make sure my car and keys were all set. Nope. Am being ... Read more

It's my second night here. I am in town for Officer Training Graduation at Maxwell. I got in late last night, a Thursday. The noise in the street (loud music, riotous crowd, and the revving of motorcycles, several of which are parked right outside across the street from the hotel) was horrendous and kept me up most of the night. Once again tonight the noise has started....it's nearing 1am and been extremely loud for several hours. Little hope for any sleep tonight. I don't even think it's a legi... Read more

The room was clean and the staff was super nice. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay and will definitely use them again in the future. The breakfast was fresh. And it's right next door to the Hank Williams museum! The location and service were so nice.

The room was nice but extremely loud. We heard the pipes running the entire night and people walking around. The staff was not helpful at all. I called the hotel four times, twice on the room phone and twice on my cell phone, to try to get our car pulled up and no one every answered. The front desk attendant, that was on duty when we checked in, never asked for my ID and never made eye contact with us. He gave us no direction on what to do when trying to get our car valeted, and when we asked, t... Read more

Hampton Inns are not typically located in historic buildings, but this one is a surprise. The facility is nicely restored, comfortable, and attractive. Our room was surprisingly naive: better than the typical Hampton Inn. The location was great for us, convenient to downtown locations and to Maxwell AFB. We recommend this hotel.

Once again a teacher friend and I needed to come to Montgomery for training at the state department. This is a great location that is located near many rating options in close proximity. They offer a great breakfast in the morning and we discovered by accident, hot delicious cookies in the lobby in the early afternoon. Great, clean and friendly place to stay. Also, if you're into geocaching, there are plenty of opportunities. Have fun!

Great hotel, very clean friendly staff. No non pork options for breakfast, no pool, and no microwave. Other than that plenty of places to walk to eat. Parking also is slim in the back of the voiding but there is places to park on the street or $10 valet

Our hotel stay was very pleasant. The staff was very accommodating, the hotel has been beautifully restored and was very clean with comfortable beds (I am very finicky about hotels but I was very pleased). The location is great as restaurants, bars, banks and the River Front are all in walking distance. The which parking lot behind the building is tiny but the hotel does have valet parking for $10 per day which we used. This was a smaller hotel (which I appreciated) so it has a very cozy feel... It was impossible to sleep here because the noise from the street is loud at all hours of the night and morning. Our toilet wouldn't stop running and there is a weird light that flashes constantly in the room. They claim to have valet parking but there was no one there when we pulled up so we had to search for street parking. Free breakfast is included, but that's about the only positive.

We were driving through Montgomery, expecting to stop for dinner and then drive our final 5-hours home. Instead, we decided to see if we could get a good last minute rate at the Hampton Inn which was on the same block as our resturant. It turned out to be a great decision. The hotel was very clean, staff were friendly and our room was big. The building has character as it was built in the 1920's as a hotel, then it became a bank, and now back as a hotel. Given the age of the building the wa... Read more

This hotel is best avoided if possible. All the rooms have desk chairs that are too low for the desks and they have been placed in 2008 and Hilton will not replace them. The hot water is variable as is the phone service. The TV in the exercise room does not work. The staff is pleasant but they cannot do anything because Hilton will not allow them. This hotel clearly is worth avoiding.

I couldn't believe there was virtually NO parking at this hotel! I've stayed in many Hampton Inns and I have never seen one with only a few parking places (in the rear of the building)! I was offered an opportunity to valet, which I declined at the moment of check in because we were going out that evening in my car. So at the end of the evening, after returning from a party around midnight, I asked about the valet parking. Apparently it is only available until 11pm!!! I love how the front de... Read more

Nice use of existing building, kept charm of original architecture in lobby. Staff when we checked in was very friendly and accommodating, not so much when we checked out. Rooms are beginning to show slight signs of wear, or at least ours was, but, it was clean. You will most likely have to valet your car and there is a charge for it, which I take exception with. If you don't mind walking, I suppose you could unload at hotel and park yourself at a public lot. Breakfast was varied and decent, plu... Read more

We enjoyed staying two nights at the Hampton Inn & Suites Montgomery recently. As others have mentioned, this is a downtown hotel so parking is limited. Do yourself a favor as we did and just valet park your car for a very reasonable $10/night. The lobby is very impressive and it is clear the building has been beautifully restored. The check-in process was quick and everyone was very friendly. If you are very sensitive to noise, ask about a quiet room. We were on a room facing the main street an... Read more
