This is a great hotel to stay at for the especially for the price that we paid. It is within walking distance of a lot of restaurants and parks. The pool area is also very nice. The staff is very helpful.

This was a very nice hotel. Appears to have been recently remodeled. The bed was very comfortable. The staff was nice. It is only a few blocks from the main street Dauphin Ave. I recommend this hotel for pleasure or business. The restaurant is on the premise and was very convenient as we got back to the room late on evening and didn't feel like going over to Dauphin Street.

The room was super nice and extremely clean! We ordered room service and I will definitely say that it's some of the best food I've had since our recent visit to New Orleans. Kudos to the chef! We were hoping to take advantage of the pool area, but unfortunately it was raining.

I had stayed in the old Admiral Semmes Hotel and was very disappointed. It was obviously a once great hotel in decline. Knowing of the renovations and ownership change I decided to try the Admiral and was rewarded with a wonderful experience. Tastefully appointed, very helpful staff and a great location all made my stay enjoyable.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Everything I could think of was provided in the room. My dinner was wonderful (flat iron steak!). Everyone was very accommodating. The employees are always smiling and greeting you. It was a pleasurable stay and I will return.

Very nice renovations to this hotel and located in an excellent area. Close to good restaurants and bars. The service was very good and they were very friendly and helpful. The room rate was very reasonable. I would suggest checking out the Dumb Waiter restaurant, it was very good. We went both nights we were in town.

Beautiful, restored, art-deco-inspired hotel. Extremely comfy bed, marble bath and shower, lots of windows and great views from our corner room, great martinis at the bar downstairs, friendly and helpful staff, superb location for seeing the sights. We walked from the Admiral to the Fort Conde and Maritime Museum, plus we walked each night to Dauphin St. for dinner. Had a great breakfast at the hotel one morning, but didn't get to try the restaurant for other meals. We did have dessert one night... Read more

This is an older hotel which has had some upgrading. I had a king room that overlooked a roof with plants growing in containers. The room and lobby were very clean and appealing. The staff was very nice and professional. My main reason for the average rating was because there were not enough useable electrical outlets in the room, and the A/C was very loud. Business travelers carry several electronics; so outlets are essential. There is a $17 valet parking charge or you can self park. The h... Read more

This hotel was really fun. Location was great for a conference at the Mobile Convention Center. The aesthetic was very comfortable and clean. The staff was great. We loved the corner bar in the facility. I highly recommend the Admiral, but will also seek out other Curio hotels in the future!

The Admiral is a beautiful historic hotel in downtown Mobile just minutes from the bay, and within walking distance of many great restaurants. Everything about the hotel is pristine- the lobby is very beautifully decorated, the rooms are clean, and they offer a wonderful breakfast each morning. This hotel would be top notch if the service were better. We went down to eat breakfast the first morning and were basically ignored by the servers the whole time we were there. We had to get our own silv... Read more

The Admiral is 1st class across the board. Great price, great accommodations and top notch staff! The views from our room were fantastic!! My wife and I couldn't have been more pleased! I read complaints from a couple other reviewers about the sound of the air conditioner in the closets near bed but we have no complaints. Hiltons has done an exceptional job in remodeling the old Admiral Semmes and the hotel has achieved just the right touch in all facades. Look forward to return visits.

no complaints about this enjoyable hotel. However I was double charged for the hotel. i noticed this a few days after i checked out. called the hotel. helpful guy acknowledged the hotel's mistake and said that the money in question would be refunded. interim call with unhelpful person who initially implied I was acting fraudulently -E even after clarification, not so interested in expeditiously refunding my money. 12 days later, still no funds returned. NOT GOOD.

This hotel is a great value. It was not swamped and the staff was genuinely interested in helping. It did lack a full restaurant, and only had a coffee shop, but I understand one is coming soon. The rooms were an excellent value.

Stopped on a return trip from Orlando. Rooms clean with expected amenities, i.e. toiletries, iron, coffee maker. Staff helpful on check-in and process was efficient. Modern decor in rooms. Parking garage with no direct access, however entrance to hotel was very close. Would recommend unloading bags curbside and then parking.

This hotel felt so posh! Very modern design. I loved all the art, furniture and accents. The bed was incredibly comfortable. Bathroom was a little tight but fine for one person. All of my favorite details. Only thing missing was no sleep button on the tv remote.

Hotel staff was gracious and very friendly. Room was very nice but bring a pillow with you ( pillows very small) . Bed was comfortable and cool. Room and bath very modern but a tight squeeze between wall, commode and shower. Front desk helpful with answers to questions.

We were just passing through Mobile for the evening staying 1 night. We arrived at 7:30pm. We were traveling with friends who had a 3 year old little boy. SERVICE/ CHECK IN/OUT: The guest services representative who checked us in was very pleasant. She told us exactly where to park, gave us a map of the local area and told us the best places to eat. We check out simply and even told where the best place was to eat breakfast. ROOM: We stayed in a King, non-smoking room on the 10th floor, room ... Read more

Our first impression was the sweetest smile across the front desk, pure southern charm! Friendly and helpful staff. The hotel lobby was clean with a 20's era decor... it was okay. Our room was clean and comfortable with nice bedding and a small but modern and clean bathroom. In the middle of the night a very loud noise woke me up... sounded like a generator... I thought about calling the front desk but just ended up turning the t.v. on and putting the volume up. The noise eventually stopped - I... Read more

I've never met a more pleasant, professional and friendly staff. Everyone seems to really enjoy working at the Admiral. Beautiful hotel with wonderful service in a great location. The hotel decor has the charm of the golden days but with a modern flare. The staff was friendly and accommodating from the valet, to front desk, to restaurant staff. We came to Mobile for a concert at the Soul Kitchen and the hotel was only 2.5 blocks from the venue and the heart of Dauphin St. We will definitely plan on returning to The Admiral on our next visit to Mobile!

This is a Great hotel in the heart of Mobile! We stayed here for our anniversary. The front desk gave us an upgrade to a suite and we were very happy. The valet service was helpful and friendly, front desk service was superior. The only negative was the breakfast area. We had to wait to be seated because the hostess was not available then the plates were for the buffet were missing. Even though - I would love to stay here again.

My husband and I stayed just overnight to visit family in Mobile, AL. He has always wanted to stay here. The hotel is beautiful! Built during the depression, it is quite simple from the outside. The hotel inside is beautiful! The staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed in a corner king room on an upper floor. There was plenty of space and the view was beautiful. The location was perfect. We walked a couple blocks for dinner and drinks. We will definitely stay here again!

I have stayed at the Admiral more times than I can remember and never had a bad experience. I have stayed for business, pleasure and of course Mardi Gras. The Admiral is one block away from Dauphin Street. This is Mobile??s little sister to New Orleans??s Frenchmen Street, and it??s a blast. Honky-tonk bars keep company with fashion-forward restaurants, an independent movie house, and a killer bookstore. Pedestrian good times ensue, all hours of day and night. Awesome!!!

Pros: Comfortable bed, walk in shower, ample towels. Cons: No refrigerator or microwave. Breakfast seemed to go downhill from day one of the nine days we stayed at the hotel. Soup like scramble eggs is not one of my favorites. Main restaurant was not always open at dinner, but you could get food at the Corner bar & grill. If they do get refrigerators like I was told, then yes, I would return to this hotel.
