We were passing through on our spring break road trip. We almost didn't stay here because of a previous review that mentioned incidents involving pubic hair, however I would say that our stay was incredibly high quality and without a pubic hair to be found. The quality of the breakfast was good. The room quality was excellent--clean, comfortable, and quality pillows. In fact the room was such high quality that we spent around 4 hours in there watching "naked and afraid" (a very high quality show... Read more

Had requested a king room; was given a double. Complained, and they said they did not have a king. When I told them who I had spoken with and was assured a king, suddenly two were found. The bathroom was dirty upon arrival, and I had to clean commode myself so I could use it (poop and pee on the lid). There was hair in the tub, sink, and on the commode. Complained. Housekeeping came and only brushed out the tub, sink, and commode; did not actually clean them. There was also hair in the ... Read more

Over the last few months I have stayed at The Quality Inn Downtown Historic District several times. The first was during Mardi Grass (three nights), second was for the famous Elton John concert, and last time was for a medical procedure that I had to have early in the am. I tell the specifics of my stays so that I can say this.... I have never been disappointed in the staff, service, cleanliness or location of this property. I will say that during Mardi Grass parking was a bit troublesome, but n... Read more

We had NO idea that this hotel is at least partially a residence hotel. We noticed numerous people living on the premises. There was a very loud group of men hanging outside near the stairway we used to get to our room. if there had been any kind of notification that people were LIVING there, we definitely would have chosen another hotel. We were very tired after driving from Jacksonville, FL, so we went out for dinner and went to bed early. At times we heard the men outside, but went back ... Read more

The hotel was not easy to find with GPS, located on one-way street near government buildings. Multi-building hotel, I was on third floor, the elevator didn't work on first day... Asked desk clerk for guaranteed no-smoking room, she kind of looked at me with a glare, told me they are not smoked in. I went to room to find the air conditioner on full blast (not hot day), and smell of smoke bomb that tries to kill the odor of smoke. It wasn't too bad, so I left the door open to air out the room to m... Read more

Hotel was cheap. There is a reason why this hotel was the only one available for Memorial Day weekend 50 miles around orange beach. It was dirty, old and many features were broken. I do not recommend staying here unless you just need a place to crash for the night.

I love the fact it's so close to the Civic Center. Nice pool, room really nice, and good breakfast. The fact that they have a security guard made me feel safe. The bedding was very comfy. Very clean all around!!

Our allocated room had not been cleaned despite our check-in after 4 pm, so we went to the pool while they relocated us. Good pool and lounges. The second room was perfectly in order. A bit of disturbance during the night by inconsiderate guests, and the trains also woke us up. A good location close to the cathedral and restaurants.

I read the mixed reviews of this motel and should have paid more attention to the bad reviews. The beds slept horrible. The pool was only clean one of the days we were here and we stayed a week. The carpet in my room had a large sticky spot I covered with a towel. The tub needed to be replaced stained handles broken hard to turn off and on. The breakfast buffet was good as long as you got in and out before looked liked homeless came in that was not a guest in the motel. It was not what I expecte... Read more

Avoid if you can. Stayed here for one night although colleagues have stayed there longer. There are some refurbished rooms which are more modern and are cleaner, so if you must stay here insist on one of these. The location is good for down town and access to the I-10 with a big car park, but its also a hangout for vagrants late at night, hence shouting, fighting and disturbances during the hours of darkness. The facilities are poor, ice machines that donā??t work, vending machines that are empt... Read more

This hotel was convenient to the convention area and to lots of eateries. It felt safe. It actually seemed clean, unlike some other reviewers experience. And, it had nice things like a coffee maker, fridge, microwave, iron and basic breakfast. And, no bugs! But it did have an odd smell - I cured that with Febreeze and a room freshener. The toilet plugged up each day and the TP holder was broken and would fall out if you looked at it wrong. Overall, I would not hesitate to stay there if ... Read more

We had been on the road on vacation for 2 weeks - this was our last nite before we got home. This place sure did make us miss home and appreciate it more. This 4 story hotel with outside entrances did have an elevator retrofitted in - but it's not convenient and pretty small. Felt like Europe. There were no luggage carts so it takes multiple trips to get the "stuff" to the room. The room had a funny smell and was hot when we arrived. We left the a/c on 68 degrees for an hour while at dinne... Read more

We arrived to a dirty room. The bottom of my son's feet turned black after walking on the floor for a few minutes. We had to ask housekeeping several times to come reclean the floor. The free WiFi didn't work in our room, housekeeping was terrible (never replenished our towels, soap, etc and we were there for 3 nights). I will not be staying in a Quality Inn again.

We have stayed here before and the room renovations look great. They seem to have some housekeeping issues. After being in the room for 20 minutes, my feet and my children's were black. I mopped the room with a washcloth while my husband recorded. There is no reason for that level of filth on a floor.

We loved staying here. Hotel is being renovated and really liked our room; clean; and comfortable beds. Breakfast was nice and very helpful staff. So convenient to everything downtown. Kids swam everyday. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

I stayed here with my family while traveling through on vacation. It was a pleasant visit. The lady at the front desk was really nice and even asked for my rewards number so that I could get a gift card. The hotel itself is unusual, but pretty - looks sort of french-quarterish. We didn't get in the pool but it looked inviting. Our room was clean and we didn't have any issues. Breakfast had a good variety of offerings and surprisingly it was pretty crowded in there, which to me is a good sign. Th... Read more

Our first room had not been cleaned from previous tenants (who must have been real slobs.) I can understand how lady in office might not know room was unmade, but it left a bad first impression. She gave us a second room with profuse apologies, which were appreciated. The second room was okay, except wood floors were dirty and sticky. Not good. Plus complimentary breakfast was very pedestrian with the worst orange juice I ever had. People were friendly enough and hotel itself had a rustic, Gulf ... Read more

Being renovated, loud banging last 3 hrs. Front desk help had an attitude and was not helpful. Bathroom sink broken, wouldn't drain. Room has been renovated & is nice but wood floor was so dirty our feet were black. Elevator is creepy. Not worth $95
