Really liked this hotel. Room was large, clean, comfortable & quiet. Desk staff very helpful and friendly. Gave it only 4 stars as breakfast at restaurant was not all that. Will stay again when in Mobile

We were passing through and stayed for the night , hotel itself was lovely very comfortable beds , 4 minute walk to restaurants , they had self laundry service which was good managed to get some washing done . The pool looked a little dirty which put me off so didn't use the pool. There seemed to be a lack of staff the receptionist was very friendly but was working by herself and she was very busy and then the same at breakfast seemed to be only one server at first and the breakfast room was bu... Great hotel offering the usual high standards set by Holiday inn. Great views of Mobile shipyard from my room. Please hire more staff! Your amazing team held it together but boy were they stretched! Food was great and the famous Southern charm and hospitality was in abundance. Thanks for a great stay.

We loved the hotel..the decor and different rooms to sit and chat, dining room for breakfast and dinner, a sky lounge bar with view of the city not to mention a 24 hour gym. The area is probably better for business as you aren't by the beach and attractions but directly across the street from the Mobile Marti Gras Museum which was fantastic. The hotel issued us vouchers for breakfast so we paid nothing for our morning meal. Dinner has limited menu. Hotel also has a pool.

Great place. Really interesting layout - You're in a circular tower. Very centrally located. Great beds and plenty of outlets for your portable devices. Staff very efficient and friendly. Highly recommended.

This is my second year staying the Holiday Inn Downtown Mobile AL hotel. The first year our stay was great. My family enjoyed the whole stay from the first check in. This year, we checked in and the lady ( I think her name was Kari, I am not sure) was very rude. When she sow that we are on IVANI rate she seemed to be willing to talk to her coworkers rudely more than to talk to the guest who she was checking in. She was telling her coworkers what they CAN and CAN'T do in front of us. Such a gre... Read more

We stayed here just for the evening in our way home from Florida. Upon arrival the front desk couldn't find our reservation, but the quickly fixed it no issues! The rooms were huge and very clean! And I loved the fact that every room had a great view of Mobile!! I also loved that they had a guest laundry service. Great for travelers! I would defiantly stay here again!

The view from the 16th floor was spectacular and pictures attached show the sunrise. It was truly amazing. The staff was extremely courteous and professional. The rooms unique shape was very different. There was only one slight issue that was not reported to management.

We stayed here on our way to Gulf Shores. Great clean rooms and a very friendly staff who was kind enough to recommend the LoDa district to find a good dinner. The beds were very comfortable and the room was huge. The bar on the top floor was nice as well. We loved the great view of Mobile. I would stay here again!

Here's the good: beautful interior; classic and stately building and lobby. The rooms are roomier than average in size, which I appreciated. The beds (mine at least) was very comfortable. The British chap who works in the breakfast restaurant was top notch. However - 1. ROOM SERVICE: one day room service didn't come to my room at all! I stay in hotels often, and this has never happened to me before. I left the hotel for the day at about 10:30 or 10:45 am, and returned after 10 at night. What a... Read more

We recently stayed at this hotel for a veteran's reunion. The front desk crew are all super friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and the rooms are large. The only complaint is a tiny one and it was the inconsistency in housekeeping. One day they forgot to make the bed but cleaned the bathroom. Another day they didn't leave a bath mat, just little things that could easily be fixed. The location is great for easy walking to restaurants and seeing many attractions.

The rooms at this particular Holiday Inn are nice and big, due the shape of the hotel. We had a Double Queen and it was close to as roomy as some suites. Everything was very clean and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. Our only complaint is the shower was slow to drain. Our experience is it is probably from hair stuck in the drain, although we didn't investigate. For that matter, I didn't address the hotel with the situation either. I'm sure they would have cleaned it out.

We wanted to stay in the downtown district of Mobile for a 4 day excursion. This was an excellent choice for the price. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The only bad part of the stay was the parking. It was a nightmare. Luckily for an extra $7 a day you can park the vehicle that drove you there in their parking lot or across the street in the parking deck. We had a small trailer with a Sea Doo in tow so it was a little tricky getting in and out of the parking deck but no biggie. The ... Read more

Free internet worked very well on site. Refrigerator in room. Large tv. Room was fairly quiet. Did not really hear any noise from surround rooms or in the hall. Business center is very nice. The gym was basic but served its purpose. Used the restaurant for breakfast. Food was ok. Plenty of parking area. Ove... Read more

The only reason this isn't five stars is that my room furniture sure could have used an upgrade to a more modern look, but the room itself was comfortable and the tall windows from the 17th floor made for a great view of downtown. The 17th floor lounge was very modern and nice as well. The downstairs lobby and such was modernized, warm and inviting. The hotel is within walking distance of many downtown bars and restaurants. Careful putting the address into your GPS as this is not really the ... Read more

The hotel is in a great location in the heart of downtown and near some great attractions. When you first walk into the lobby it is clean and looks very nice but that is where the good stops. There is not enough parking on location so you have to park across the street in a parking garage. At night it is not that bad but in the morning when you check out there is a lot of traffic and hard to get across the street. Parking is also $7 a night. In the morning came down for continental breakf... Read more

I arrived on August 4, 2016. The front desk staff that afternoon who checked me in were great! However, when I came back to ask a question later that evening, the front desk staff was distant, lacking information and pretty much behaving as though I was bothering them. As far as the hotel goes, it was a typical for a Holiday Inn. The beds were comfortable and the bar upstairs was awesome. But, they needed to have more mid day food options inside the hotel. The food options surrounding the hotel... Read more

Slightly delayed review, stayed in June. Room was good sized and high floor meant it was quiet with good views. Hotel is easy to find and get to and reasonable nearby parking. But immediately surrounding downtown area is lacking if you intend to be there for a few days. Hotel restaurant was very poor, dinner menu very limited and no drinks menu - staff need to go to top floor bar to get drinks. Would choose hotel somewhere else away from downtown area on next trip.

July 13-19. The room was great comfortable beds, microwave, mini frig, etc. We came for a national convention and it happens there were 2 other conventions that same weekend. So, it was a pretty busy one. The front desk didn't have all the answers but I didn't have any major questions. There is a garage next door that's included in your stay. Be careful of the price gauging for those going to the 5th Qtr. Classic (FAMU vs Tuskegee). I reserved a room at this hotel on the Holiday Inn website last Sat. (83/one night). I received a confirmation email and everything. When I went to check my reservation on Wednesday there was no record of it. After several calls to Holiday Inn and this particular location, I was told that the charges to my card would be reversed and that I could book at the going rate ($199/per night). Being in town on business, needed a place to stay overnight. Hotel is located in a historic area with many attractions close by. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Hotel is clean, rooms are quiet with some very nice views. Beds are very comfortable with nice linens. Only downside is that parking related to check in is not clearly marked. Tricky main entrance despite being located on government street. Not a Deal Breaker and will return if in Mobile again.

This hotel is located downtown and with easy access to interstate. Room service has quality issues, people are not very friendly and food is not very good. Front desk personnel is friendly but can not help much when there is a issue needing to be addressed. Parking is fine unless hotel is booked.

Downtown with nice view based on which room you get as the hotel is in the shape of a circle. On the fifth floor, big king bed, mini fridge, flat screen TV. OK the one cheap thing they do is limit the dollar amount to $10 each for breakfast after you pay extra to include it with your room. I paid $11.40 per day for 2 people so you're saving $8. At their prices, you can't get a full breakfast and have juice or coffee without spending money. Too bad as we just stayed at another Holiday Inn whi... Read more

Stayed here for 1 night. Friendly staff, great rooms, and amazing location on walking distance on all the nice bars and restaurants. Didn't use breakfast or other amenities, so we can not have an opinion on those! We liked the sky lounge bar on the upper floor with good priced drinks. Only the restrooms on top floor where not clean. Toilet paper everywhere on the floor. Could be cleaned more often. Everything else was great!

Business trip. Most hotels are running about the same, but this Holiday inn needs some serious update. Built in a round frame, some of the rooms are wedged shaped. Curtis in room should have been replaced years ago, Rubber lining worn off blind so light came through in random holes. Bathroom - no door - only one to commode, about four inches between commode and door - be thin or step in the bath. Carpet - maybe from the 80's glue coming up off the floor and walls.
