The general manager of this hotel is either incompetent or spineless. Any hotel GM which allows his dumpster to be emptied before 6:00AM needs to go into another line of work. I stayed here because I've stayed here twice in the past because it was quiet. I guess there's a new GM.

Great place to stay with a great staff and breakfast for a very reasonable price. The room was spacious and quiet with a nice view. Parking was simple and ample. Location was easy to find. The breakfast selection was exceptional and complimentary.

Pretty good overall. Nothing to sell me to this Chotel chain over other chains. Continential breakfast average for a chain hotel. The do allow dogs which is a plus. Service ok. Clean. Too pricey for a chain hotel in a small town.

Hotel was nice, but the room could have been cleaner. The bed was comfy and we were allowed to have the dog for no additional fee. Not sure was normal rates are, but for what we paid, it was very good.

Overall, my stay at the Hampton in Jacksonville was a pleasant one. The hotel is in good condition, rooms are what I expect from Hampton, breakfast was okay, and amenities were as expected. The only suggestion I have for the hotel is in relation to the showers... very poor water output. The paring of 'water efficient' shower heads and mediocre water pressure make for a less than enjoyable shower experience-which is important to me.

The Staff for our event were excellent in their jobs and our request....We will definitely use this facility again and recommend it to others. We will be back there in a few weeks for another event in the area .

Under staffed when checking in. Lots of fly's around the breakfast area. Bacon didn't taste good biscuit gravy was like water isn't it suppose to be thick. I guess who ever made it didn't care. Rooms are not as clean as you think. Very dusty in rooms. Found a huge scorpion on the wall of our room. No one at the front desk for at least 15mins we got tired of waiting so we went to dinner down the street.

Our society is overloaded with "fake" people and "fake" service, and one can feel and see it. Everyone wants to feel truly welcomed on a stay... and not always business as usual... even if it is business. The entire staff made me feel truly welcomed.

Check in and out fast and friendly. Room was clean and not overly fragranced. Furnishings appeared new. Coffee pods were not replaced for the in-room coffee, but with the free continental breakfast from 6a - 10a, and service available from the desk 24/7, I had no need to request resupply. The room was otherwise serviced perfectly. Wi-fi was included with the rate (with faster wifi available for a daily fee, but it was plenty fast for my web surfing and email needs). I will stay here again.

Jacksonville is not a huge destination city, but does have this nice, newer hotel at which to stay. The main attractions seem to be the University, a dog training facility, and an overnight bivouac for cyclists on the Silver Comet Trail (my reason for staying there). While none of these things so far as to be inconvenient, the hotel is not immediately adjacent to them. The hotel is clean and comfortable. The pool is small but well-maintained and refreshing. The breakfast area was a good size, wi... Read more

Hampton is the best value, dependable cleanliness, and has the best BEDS, linens, and coffee of any major hotel chain. This Hampton did not disappoint. It also was the best hotel in the area. We drove to Alabama to ride on the Chief Ladiga Trail. It was a perfect location and in a safe area, and just a few blocks from the best BBQ pulled pork we have ever had.

No pool access for most guest due to private party at pool in the middle of the afternoon on Saturday! My family booked several rooms at this location several months in advance so that we could all stay together during our family reunion weekend. The pool closed at 2 pm on Saturday for a private party. We booked this hotel expecting to have pool access our entire visit.

I have stayed here the last 3 nights. It's a great place and the workers are awesome. Tons of outlets all over my room..... the soap, shampoo are great and the bed is very comfortable with 4 pillows of varying softnesses. The coffee was 24 hours and I actually never ate the breakfast they offered. They have USA Today papers downstairs and it's actually in the heart of Jacksonville... close to everything in this town. This Hampton Inn is very well maintained, quiet, and comfortable. We recently stayed here for four nights while working on a project nearby. The staff was very helpful and courteous, the rooms were comfortable and clean, and I slept great the entire trip. We only had the opportunity to have breakfast on one morning. I would say that it was the only "average" part of the stay, but was balanced out by the availability of fresh, hot coffee all day. I would definitely stay here again!

This hotel is our family's go-to place. Being it is about the only hotel in the small town that we frequent, it is about our only choice, but no complaints there. Staff is helpful, free breakfast is always great, and parking is usually ample. The only downside this time was that they closed the pool on a VERY HOT Saturday when the family and I were looking forward to cooling off after a long day of being out and about. But none the less, still a pleasant stay.

Very nice facility that was undergoing a renovation after only 6 years. Superb Internet connection, very nice job on breakfast, plenty of free parking, no security issues in this neighborhood, close to several banks and food vendors. DirecTV package was superior to the relatively few channels at most hotels. The only issue I have is the same with all of the Hampton hotels where I've stayed - the bed has a thick comforter, and there is no way to layer sheets or blankets to one's preference.

I stayed here while on an overnight business trip. The staff was super friendly, and the bed super comfy! There were places nearby to eat, although we drove a short way to a restaurant. The only slight negative was that the hotel was full or nearly so, but I can't hold that against them. Many of the guests were police doing training in the area with their dogs (second floor) and there were also many military reserves staying here for their training nearby. So I guess we were relatively safe! Everything went smoothly and the hotel seemed clean and well maintained. Breakfast was average or better. As usual, greeted by name and recognized as an hhonors member. My wife and I were able to host a special Canadian Thanksgiving Dinner for 10 Canadian players from the JSU Women's Soccer Team and were given access to the kitchen to prep and the courtyard to serve. Grateful college athletes got a chance to share a taste of home and share some family time on during a Canadian holiday. Thanks to the staff for their hospitality and willingness to let us take over the hotel for a night.

My friend and I ride bycicles in several states and on several bike paths and traces. We were wanted to ride the Chief Ladaga Trace for a couple of years. We finally had the chance to make the trip. We looked at all of the options to ride about fifty miles. This hotel was in the perfect place for us with the agenda we had. Staff was great, breakfast was great, the room was perfect for all of our needs.
