I was very disappointed in this hotel. The staff was friendly enough but the room was super tiny. When I booked through hotels.com it says a queen bed but there is no way that was a queen bed. Had to be a full size. And it was so uncomfortable. Hard as a rock. The shower head was super small and no water pressure. It advertised garden views and I saw no garden. There were 2 Palm trees right outside the window. That was the only positive thing. The pool was also VERY small. Very disappointed. Not... Read more

This was a nice place to stay for 4 nights. The staff was friendly and the hotel functional except for having to go to the third floor to get ice. We were in the second building so this may have only been for this building only. The suite was still only one room but the sink, refrigerator, and microwave were nice. We would stay here again.

This is not an overly warm and cosy place. It is not overly friendly. It does not oooz old world charm. BUT, it is clean. The breakfast is DIY, but clean. The halls are clean. There are no offensive smells. It is cheap, but newISH. Close to the beaches, but half the price of on the beach. Sea and sand on a budget.

For the last 2 years we have had trouble getting a ground floor room. Where we were this trip, 348, had an elevator. That is all well and good but what if the elevators were to quit, then we would have to take the stairs, which neither of us are supposed to be on. May have to look for something else next time. I always am specific about us having to have a ground floor room, but reservations just ignores us.

The room was small but clean and quiet. We stayed one night. We didn't eat the breakfast because someone burnt something and the entire area smelled burnt. I felt the room was overpriced but it was a holiday weekend. The room size was adequate for an overnight stay but the "desk" would not have been adequate for using a laptop. Overall it was a good place to stay. It was just a few miles from the beach. The rooms were cute and unique. The only things that bothered me was that the toilet seats were very dirty, there was only one vending area so if you're on the second or third floor you have to go all the way to the lobby for snacks, ice or sodas. Requested a rollaway bed, when we got there the queen room was so small we would have had to open it out in front of the bathroom door and crawl across if we needed to get to the bathroom. Check out time is 11:00am but Housekeeping knocked at 8:00am which is too early to be awakened when you're on vacation. Maybe they need to consider changing the checki in time.

We were booked just for one night as we were passing through on our way to a different beach further east. We were made to wait from checking in our room first off (past the advertised check in time) due to rooms 'not being clean yet'. I'm not really sure what level of clean this hotel specializes in, but hair balls on the towels and on the newly made bed are NOT my idea of clean. For $168 for the night I expected way more. Will not stay here again. Period.

I stayed at this hotel for my family reunion. The good - the room was chilled. This was a plus because it was 90-100 degrees each day. The desk staff were very nice & pleasant. The bad- my room was not cleaned well. I found a ball of hair on the floor, the shower curtain was dirty & there were flies in my room. At 200.00 a night I was expecting better accommodations. I wouldn't return at those prices.

We have stayed here before. The hotel is quaint and basic. They do have free breakfast in the lobby each morning. Hotel staff were very helpful. My only complaints would be that there was alot of noise by our room early in the mornings, as we were the first room near the front desk, ice machine, and breakfast area; and the mattresses are really soft. We do really like this hotel and would recommend it.

It is set back from the highway, not surrounded by high rise condos or hotels (the bane of Gulf Shores and - even more so - of Orange Beach in the opinion of this nature lover who would love to be able to see more of the dunes, beach and ocean). We got a single queen bed for the 2 of us and I've never stayed in a smaller room than this. We could barely move around the bed. We asked for another room when we found hair all over the sheets. The second room had cleaner sheets but the room was sort of dirty. If you stay in the main building, the breakfast area is very cramped. We later learned to go to another building's breakfast area. The hallways and stairwells were smelly. No excuses!

Rooms unclean. Hair hanging on towels in bathroom and in both beds. Asked to have beds changed. Was disappointed that the only thing offered that was hot was waffles. Have stayed at other microtels and they offered eggs and breakfast meats.

First time staying at a Microtel Inn. The rooms were nice and beds very comfortable. The walls are thin and easy to hear neighbor's television or banging on doors. This was minimal and did not affect our stay. We had Wyndham reward points, which made the price very reasonable. The place was very neat and clean and staff was very helpful. We were only there for one night and could stay here again if in the area.

We stayed there for a night and really enjoyed it. It's a few miles from the shore. It's a nice and clean hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There are some restaurants in the area as well if you want to have dinner. Good choice to stay especially if you are traveling.

I was pleasantly surprised with how nice the accommodations were. I would stay again if I go back to the area.

The entire room felt damp, room smelled of smoke with a bag over the smoke detector and for the price, I don't see me coming back. I can spend 50 dollars more a night and KNOW that the room will be exactly how people anticipate it to be. The lady the front deck was extremely nice, so there is one plus.
