My room was very clean and quiet and the staff were friendly, professional and accommodating . It is in a safe area of town and there is a small park behind hotel that is nice for walking . The room looked as if it had been updated recently.

The staff at this hotel is wonderful...very polite and helpful with anything you need. Nice complimentary breakfast. Nice pool when warm enough to swim. Rooms are not the best I've seen, but still very nice, with comfortable beds & pillows too.

The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I enjoyed the location because it was near out meeting location and downtown. The parking was limited because of a fishing tournament that was taking place the same time of our visit.

I was very surprised at the experience I had at this Hampton. 2 hours past our 3pm check in, we were finally able to access our rooms. They only thing they could do was move our rooms, which would have split our wedding party up. Terrible way to start my wedding weekend.

Comfort, hospitality, friendliness are always waiting for us when we need to be in Gadsden. The staff went the extra mile for us to get early check-in for our choice of rooms. This was one less problem we had for what was an unhappy reason for our trip. What is special is that attention to detail is always obvious here.

I visited Gadsden on business with a tight schedule. I was disappointed when I reached the room to find that the staff placed me in a smoking room. I went back to the lobby to change to the non-smoking I reserved. Wasted time and no apology from the staff.

Staff was extremely welcoming, friendly and prompt with their service. We were very pleased. We had a first floor room and it was extremely quiet which was what we needed. Their "to-go" breakfast was also a great idea as we really did not have time to sit and enjoy a meal the next morn.

The bed was very comfortable. The room and bathroom were very clean. The doors did not keep out the hall noise. The breakfasts were not quickly restocked and carbohydrates were the main items. Too few protein selections.

So glad we were taking the slow route on our trip and went to downtown Gadsden. After crossing the Coosa River and taking pictures of the Emma Samson statue, we drove back to this Hampton Inn we had seen earlier. Once again I had checked my Trip Advisor and other apps and find that this hotel had a good price. Great breakfast. Just behind the hotel is the river. There is a deck where you can sit! And we walked to a Chinese restaurant to eat!

Three generations from California, Texas, Tennessee, Georgia, and Alabama converged in Gadsden, home of our parents, grandparents and great grandparents, for a family reunion of 50 people. The Hampton Inn was wonderful. The location of the hotel, 129 River Road, was perfect. The rooms were clean, and beds very comfortable, breakfast delicious! Make your own waffle was a huge favorite! But most importantly, every member of the staff was so kind and gracious to our large group. With precious smile... Read more

Had a long drive and stopped in Gadsden for the night. The hotel check-in was quick and easy, the room was very clean and comfortable. My only criticism was that the hotel is located a little closer to a major road than I like. Not a big problem, but did hear some loud cars and trucks during the night. Over all, it still was a good stay and worth the price.

Hampton is my go to place for reliability and comfort on a trip. I stayed at this site last week and was disappointed in the site itself. The staff was, as always, very nice and polite BUT there was a very bad oder in the hallway and when I got to my room there was a different very bad smell. It was roughly 100 degrees outside and that may have contributed to it but yuck.

This hampton inn does not meet the Hilton standard, I have to assume it's the city and maybe that's the standard for this location very dissatisfied, the front desk associate was somewhat helpful, she informed me that they were aware of the issues,my question is why would you place a guest in a room that needs work.

This Hampton by Hilton is located right next to the Coosa River and just steps from historic downtown Gadsden, AL. A large mall is directly across the street and several excellent restaurants are within walking distance or just a few minutes drive. The property itself is very recently updated. The hotel was clean with friendly staff. We changed rooms because of elevator noise and they were very accommodating. The AC in our room wasn't working as well as one would hope for but overall the room was nice. One negative is they have terrible sheets. They were not 100% cotton and were hot and scratchy! The breakfast was good and the choices varied daily.

Gadsden doesn't have a great selection of hotels. This Hampton is a little outdated, but it is better than other selections in town. The A/C isn't as strong as I would like. If you have a room on the top (3rd) floor, you might smell smoke coming from the smoking room.

We spent a Friday night in September at the Hampton Inn in Gadsden. We were in the area doing some family genealogy work. When turning onto river road from 411 to the hotel there is a protrusion jetting into the road. I hit that protrusion, thankfully my car was not damaged. My husband thought that it was my driving, however, after driving in the area himself he examined the protrusion and it is very clear that many automobilies have struck this protrusion. I realize its not the hotels direct responsibility, however, the hotel and other local businesses have a responsibility to their customers to make sure the entr... Read more

Gadsden is our home town and we are now returning for weddings, graduations, and sadly, funerals. We always try to stay here. Our last stay was a pleasant surprise, as the hotel has been recently remodeled, and very nicely so. Great staff and breakfast was good, as usual. I do have one complaint with Hampton Inn: The large, thick, duvets on the beds are very uncomfortable. I wish they would go back to sheets, blankets and a bedspread so one could adjust the layers. We traveled with several couples on a golf trip and this hotel was chosen by another couple. I have to say, I was very satisfied with their choice. In the past few years, Hampton Inn has let us down with the cleanliness, customer service hotel we had come to appreciate with Hampton. THIS hotel is the exception. The staff was wonderful, the rooms had been updated and were very clean. Still not sure of all Hampton Inns, but this has made me hope that the others have improved as well.
