We have elderly family and have to visit often, as I have reviewed before, this one is hit or miss. some time ago we stopped using this hotel after more than 10 visits, as we are long time honors members. we had service and room cleanliness issues in the past. I decided to give it another chance and last visit was okay. However on last visit the rooms were fine, I apparently made a mistake and booked for 1 night instead of 2, as it was a rushed visit due to family illness. my mistake, however wh... Read more

Stayed here for 2 nights recently on business. My king bedded room was very nice and spotlessly clean. The towels were large and fluffy. The mini-fridge even froze my Gatorade to a nice slush. most of these mini fridges only cool things but this one really worked. The breakfast selections changed each morning and were very well presented and tasty. I liked their waffles but they only had one bottle of syrup to share with everyone. The fresh fruit selections were better than most with fresh pinea... Read more

Very clean , close to shopping and parks , lots of great food near by. Stay there every time I visit the Fort Payne area. I stay at Hampton Inns all across Canada and the US for the reason They are all the same in high quality comfort . From one to the other you can expect the same degree of service . I recommend this hotel chain to friend , family and people I work with .

From the time I made the reservations it was pure pleasure dealing with the staff here at Hampton Inn. I am a very light sleeper. To avoid any noise above us, we requested a top floor, non-smoking, very quiet room away from elevator, vending, laundry & stairs. We were assigned a non-smoking room on 4th floor to accommodate my needs for a 'very quiet' room. All my 'restful' needs were met with such graciousness and thoughtfulness even to include a room that was not only 'quiet', but had a view of... Read more

We stayed for 3 nights and thought the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room seemed to have new décor and was clean. The complimentary breakfast is a nice amenity and is convenient for starting your day.

Very nice clean room. Friendly staff. Check in quick and easy. There are lots of restaurants in the area. We booked the room while on the road headed in that direction after being on the road for 17 hours on our way to Florida. I would recommend this to anyone traveling this way.

The staff is very friendly and accommodating even when over run with with kids and family's on this particular weekend. We still felt the small town feel and southern hospitality. Breakfast was more than adequate for complimentary and room was equipped and clean.

This place has easy access to the restaurants and places of interest. Also the ease of getting off and on the interstate was time saving. The staff was very helpful and the rooms were nice. The complimentary breakfasts were especially noteworthy.

I usually try to stay at Hamptons, but this location is losing my business. Whoever is making the management decisions is getting too cheap for their own good. There is no more bag breakfast, the breakfast does have some good things some mornings, but not others, and the thermostats in the rooms will either freeze you are cook you - there is no in between. At night, the hot water varies in temperature way too much. The pillows go flat overnight.

I have never been graded any hotel in the manner that I was greeted at the Hampton Inn Fort Payne. Literally two of the most hateful people I've ever encountered. In the three nights that I stayed I was not greeted one time. The most unfriendly staff I have ever encounteredâ?¦ I told him so and they did not care

Stayed here for 2 nights. Hardly anyone staying at this location when we were there and the hotel clerks were not up front when we arrived or departed but came out front when they heard us. We had 2 queen beds - my husband thought his bed was too soft and mine seemed fine. Re-caulking in bathtub area was not done well and there was mildew on the outside tub seams. Typical full breakfast fare for motels. My husband said the french toast was "tough." I enjoyed an English muffin and their coffee. I... Read more

Very clean and quite. Beds extremely comfortable. Highly recommended! The only complaint I had was thst the front desk agent who checked me in did not even mention that I was a HHonors member, nor did she mention the fact that as a fellow Hilton Employee, I was traveling using the Team Member Travel Program.

Average but good location. I was a walk-in and didn't have reservations. I told the front desk that I was a Honor's member and requested the discount. Front desk said I was given the Honor's price but I didn't see the price reflect the room cost.

The hotel was clean enough but I expect more out of Hampton inns. I suspect his property does not have enough completion in the area for them to worry about some of the things that would make them a great hotel. The towels were terrible. Absolutely just terrible. Old and worn. The water pressure was non existent making showering horrible. The room we selected on the Hilton app was changed the day of our check in.

A very nice place to stay. Just what we expect from the Hilton group. We didn't expect to spend the night in Ft Pate but we're happy to find the Hampton. We have never been disappointed in one. Everything and everyone made our overnight stay (including the indoor pool) very pleasant. We would happily stay ahain.

I am always glad to see the Hampton by Hilton in any location I need a room. Their quality service can be counted on by the weary traveler. This hotel had clean rooms, updated lobby and facilities and the most helpful staff of employees. Great value.

I generally stay with Marriott but have felt safe with Hilton brand hotels over the years. This Hampton Inn was simply OK. The bathroom was not very clean but the service staff was really good. The breakfast left something to be desired so I'd recommend leaving the property to eat in the morning.

This hotel is in a great location, beautiful and clean. The location is central to the quaint town of Ft. This Hampton Inn, located in the Northeast Alabama town of Fort Payne is convenient to I-59 (one block from the interstate), and lots of restaurants, gas stations, a Lowe's and a WalMart. The employees are especially friendly. More so than I have found at others in this hotel chain. My room, including the bathroom, were clean. I enjoyed having a shower stall, instead of a tub/shower. Breakfast, included in the room charge, is standard for the chain. The fresh fruit was gone when I arrived f... Read more

My husband and I stopped for the night and had a choice between a newly remodeled Holiday Inn Express or a Hampton. We chose the Hampton as they are always nice and we were afraid the Holiday Inn would smell of paint. This Hampton is old and worn. No in-hotel mini-store. We were first put in a room that smelled. Moved to the 3rd floor and was better. I would never stay here again. I wish I would have stayed at the Holiday Inn for less money! I think I saw three cars in the parking lot here... Read more

We chose this location, as we were getting road weary; however, I would suggest to keep travelling to Gadsen. This location is $30 higher and not very comfortable. The indoor pool was freezing, and we could hardly sleep, due to the noise. The food was decent enough, but low in supply after the early birds came and gobbled it up.

When entering the entrance, the first doorway smelled of B.O. the entry weekend we were there and the clerk at the table wasn't as friendly as other Hampton's I've staying in. I travel for work and stay in a Hampton 2-3 times a month about. With that being said what dissatisfied me was the simple request for a bottle water for my G/F. Previous we didn't stop before because I knew "normally" at every Hampton I stay in they are happy to offer. Being "only sliver status" I wasn't entitled to a bot... Read more

The hotel was clean except that the floors smelled like they'd just been carpet cleaned and the smell was quite strong. The desk attendant was very nice and helpful. She told us about the local Sock Museum (open only on weekends) and the band Alabama's Fan Club Headquarters as well as some nice waterfalls in the area. Good night's sleep and ready for the next day's driving.

They also offer complimentary wifi to their guests. I always expect a comfortable and restful stay at a Hampton Inn hotel. Also, for those handicapped or just need a bit of an assist they have handle/safety bars in some of their showers if you request a handicap accessible room. It can be a great assistance to ... Stopped here on 11/26/16 on return trip from Thanksgiving. Hotel was dated in terms of Hamptons in terms of layout, but room was clean, and there were upgrades in the rooms. Eating area was smaller than usual and the breakfast had a couple of things missing from their normal menu, but all in all it was a nice stay. I would not want to stay too long in this hotel (4+ days), but for a few days it works great.
