This place was available and it had an upgraded room. Slight, very slight, smell of cigarettes, but it was a blessing to find such a place at a moment's notice.

A few problems occurred that colored my experience negatively. Upon arrival, the receptionist informed me that my online reservation made the night before was not accurate: my choice of a king bed was not available and the price was higher than stated on my reservation (due to a higher tax rate). She was finally able to give me a king bed room, from another visitor who had not checked in. Also, we were unable to receive a key card that unlocked our room door, with 3 separate cards. The night desk clerk, can't remember her name, but she was fairly new and had recently moved to Ft. Payne from Myrtle Beach, was awesome. She was polite, provided me with a great room, and even fixed the breaker when my electricity when out.

We have been staying at Days Inn on business for awhile now. And all the staff is so wonderful. Angie, Haley and Anthony. They are so nice. I would recommend this Days Inn to anyone. They are so friendly. You couldn't ask for a better staff

After driving for 8 hours I was in need of rest and food. I pulled off at an exit in Ft. Payne Al. Seeing a Days Inn sign I stopped went in to the office and was greeted by a pleasant young lady. I told her I needed I room for one for one night. She then checked to see if I qualified for any of her discounts which I did. she then gave me a room. She asked if I was a Wyndham member I told her I had signed up a week before she asked my number I told her I had been traveling for over a week and d... Read more

Not a bad hotel, really. Everything in the room worked as it should, cold air, shower was good, fridge, microwave, and coffee maker, good tv. Unfortunately, all they had left were smoking rooms, so the room smelled terrible and we had to burn incense constantly just to cover it up. The mattresses weren't awful, but they need to be replaced. Saggy and a little hard. Staff was really nice. It's attached to a Waffle House and there are tons of good places to eat withing walking distance. Other than... Read more

This property has the friendliest staff that I've encountered in quiet a while. The price was good and the room was great. I woke up to a hot pot of coffee and a bowl of oatmeal and raisins, just like I like it ! I will stay here again and recommend this hotel to my friends.

Stayed here while visiting little river canyon and Desoto falls. Average motel. Clean, but could use some updating. Able to tell that they place is a little older and has experienced wear and tear. Continental breakfast was available, but not many options, only cereal, pastries, and waffles. Was fine for our stay, we were only in the room to sleep.

This was our 3rd stay @ this Motel. This time we did not have a reservation. The staff recognized us and tried to place us in a room on the ground floor. It had previously been a Smokers Room. They took us to the room and we would not have been able to stay there due to allergies. They then placed us in a room on the 2nd floor near the stairs. The motel was almost completely booked due to a Special Event that weekend. The staff were courteous, helpful and always very pleasant!

After traveling the country for 3 weeks, this by far was the most disgusting hotel we stayed at. We chose it based on reviews but was very disappointed. Room 124 was grimy. The bedspreads were stained and disgusting. The fridge and microwave needed a deep cleaning inside and out. The bathroom had a horrible odor. The window sill was filled with dead bugs. At a 4am bathroom visit, I found a HUGE cockroach in the bathroom. I couldn't sleep the rest of the night. Gross is an understatement for this... Read more

The motel was comfortable, and clean, but needed up grading. The carpet had spots all over, the walls had repairs not complete. The "free continental Breakfast was bare bone, most of the time no decaf coffee, cereal, pastries, oatmeal. Nothing to excite the freshly woken traveler. We have stayed there the past 3 years, but think we'll move on. Hilton Rewards don't exist except in their emails, and ads. Nice desk help, nice looking motel, not the cheapest in town, but clean and worth the money I ... Read more

The price I had to pay was higher than the price I was quoted in my reservation. They would not honor the reservation price. They said it was a local tax raise. The people were good. Room 133 wasn't. The carpet was buckled in several places. The tub fixtures were corroded and had silicone caulking around them. The color on the tv was way out of adjustment. The bed was OK.

Where do I start? It stinks like mold and mildew. Not just a little bit either. Several insects flying around in the room. (They probably tried to air it out and the insects flew in) The couch just sounds like broken boards when you sit on it. There is a table lamp in the room that is completely a waste of space. It is across the room from the couch. The shower curtain has mold in the cracks and crevices. Everything is just simply OLD and GROSS!! Now for the worst part. The wifi is a complete jo... Read more

Stopped over because we were getting tired, The Staff was great. Friendly, courteous, kind and helpful and professional. The room was nice, but had a couple of maintenance/cleanliness issues that we discussed with the manager. He was very receptive to constructive criticism and thanked us for bringing the issues to his attention. Would stay again.

Nothing special. Older property with a bathroom that needed serious work. The bathroom was so tiny that one almost need to stand in the shower to close the door, plus the door stuck. Breakfast was all pre-made carbohydrates. The in room heater/air conditioner made everyone stuffy, and it was super dusty. The worst thing about our stay was when we came back to the room for our second night, we found the room open. We had been gone for 10 hours. A call to the front desk was less than inspiri... Nothing fancy, but a decent motel given the low price. One downside was that the outdoor pool had closed a week before our visit, but otherwise met our expectations. A good choice for the budget minded traveler, but not for those looking for a high end motel.

This may just be the worst hotel I have ever stayed in! Everything, and I mean everything was disgusting, dirty, run down. We were headed up to Lookout Mountain and stopped here for the night. We arrived at 6pm, checked in, went to room to look it over, I check every room and bed for bugs before ever going into a room. It was so nasty, there were stains on the sheets that appeared to be blood, there were cigarette burns on the bedding, curtains, tables, etc. There were ashes all over the floor. ... Read more
