We came to town for a wedding and booked a room here. It seems brand new! The room is beautiful, roomy, and very clean. The staff had been very helpful as well. Even the free breakfast was hot and good.

If Southern Living (magazine) had an Inn, this would be it! This property just underwent a $4m renovation, and it's more like a B&B or an Inn than an express property. Upon entering, the smell is so fresh and inviting (unlike most places). We stayed in a king suite...all hardwood floors, Keurig coffee maker, massive bathtub, best scented bath amenities, plush towels, super comfy bed, and three huge picture windows overlooking palms. The front desk staff and breakfast hostess were amazingly helpf... Read more

As soon as we walked in I loved it. Decorated very cute with a seaside touch. Breakfast was stocked every morning and hot coffee was always available in the lobby. Staff was very friendly and helpful with local places to eat etc. Room was roomy, clean and smelled great. When we checked in I inquired about the pool and she said only had an outdoor salted pool. Upon checking it out we discovered it was filthy and unable to swim in. not sure if it had not been opened for the season or just dirty. Y... Read more

The Holiday Inn Express was exceptional. We were greeted by friendly staff who made several dining suggestions. Our rooms were clean and smelled wonderful. The bedding was firm and the linen was clean and fresh. We can't wait to return again.

This newly remodeled establishment is a very pleasant place to stay. We enjoyed the staff and visit. Breakfast was fantastic. Cookies for the evening were really a nice touch. Next door is a fast food eatery. The location is perfect to enter and leave unto a main road. We did enjoy the total appearance of the Inn.

My husband and I began a 3 month summer sojourn from home in FL. Fairhope was our first stop for two nights. (We call home Watercolor in Santa Rosa Beach, on the Pandle.) This is the cleanest, well organized, top service HI Express we have ever stayed in. Lobby: Open and spacious with various areas for guests to relax and visit. I would call it quite inviting. It was populated without being crowded. Check-in was swift and our room preference: top floor/away from road, was honored. Rooms: Tast... Read more

I stayed at this newly remodeled hotel for 2 nights. The hotel has a main building and an annex separated by the salt water swimming pool. I stayed in the annex. It is next door to a Burger King - which wasn't a problem. Pros: Clean, newly remodeled, convenient to downtown Fairhope, price (for the area), friendly staff, a/c that cools really well, no musty smells. Cons: Breakfast is in main building only, has window type a/c unit with thermostat that makes more noise than I care for. Wou... Read more

What a beautiful hotel! After travelling all day, we reached the perfect town of Fairhope and had little expectations for our hotel. We were so surprised to find this beautifully renovated hotel - that we could not fault. The interior design complements the rooms perfectly and it is feels like a Sanctuary! We were greeted by the lovely Jessica who is a true asset- we would have stayed regardless of the hotel or rates, given her service. A great breakfast is included, we left smiling and would st... This hotel is recently renovated and I must say a job well done. Check in was very quick and accommodated our requests. The rooms was spacious and very clean, the air seems to be on some sort of timer because it doesn't cool as well when you are away from your room, it was always a bit warm when we returned but cooled off after awhile . There is a salt water pool located between both buildings and it is well maintained . Big comfy king size bed was a plus . The hotel itself is in a convenient lo... Read more

Had to move to another room- toilet was clogged (before we got in). No cafe and the breakfast was awful. Our reservation price was very high and could not be cancelled. Not impressed. But the staff was nice and accommodated us as they could. Just disappointed with the pinch in my wallet.

Very clean and nice. There seemed to be a lot of noise (heard conversations in hall and in rooms surrounding us). Otherwise a very nice hotel in a very quaint and beautiful town. Did not have a chance to try the salt water pool or other amenities. We spent a weekend there to celebrate our 41st anniversary. Very relaxing.

I Had a bad experience at a bed-and-breakfast right before coming here, so the contrast really made me appreciate our stay here. The staff was like a breath of fresh air? Super friendly, helpful and kind. The rooms were perfect, the sheets were to die for! Breakfast was great? We were a little late and they were still kind enough to allow us to eat there. The decorations are beautiful everywhere? Very modern and tasteful. All staff were very accommodating to our needs. Can you tell I ... Read more

We made a quick trip over to look at some things for anew business we have. The room was very clean and I really enjoyed having the coffee maker in the room. I do like taking baths and they only had a shower, so that was a little upsetting. But other than that it was very nice. They offered a nice breakfast which was really packed in the dining room. We had some fruit and went to town to shop. We would definitely stay again.

I'll start by saying that this hotel looks like Chip & Joanna Gains decorated the lobby, sitting area and dining area.....you get a five star rating for that alone. Our room was super clean, the bed was very comfortable and although we were near the elevator, our room was very quiet. We didn't eat breakfast but there were plenty of options to choose from. I highly recommend this property!

This is a GREAT place to stay! The hotel is in a great location, the rooms are very modern and up to date, as is the hotel, the beds are beyond comfy, and breakfast offers a wide selection of foods and good coffee. It's not terribly far from the beaches of Gulf Shores. During the week it was a 35 minute scenic drive. I would highly recommend staying here.

Room was really nice, booking was easy, price was good.. Problem began when we arrived. 1st tripadvisor does not have updated room availability. We reserved 2 beds only to be told we were getting 1 and a sofa bed :/ called tripadvisor and they resolved it by giving a 15% room refund. My only real complaint is the shower curtain smelled the entire room with mildew. Not sure how often they actually wash them but it was awefull even with the door closed. Everything was extremely clean and well stocked. Front desk attendant was so nice and helpful. Offered us a brochure of local attractions, dining, and shopping. Rooms were a little smaller than other Holiday Inn Express but still offered everything. Nice pool, fitness center, and great FREE breakfast. Close to the Gulf Shores but far enough away for peace and quiet. This is an artist town dream.

We stopped at the Holiday Inn Express in Fairhope on our way to Orlando for 2 days. I am extremely impressed with this hotel, especially the staff and the ladies that were in charge of the breakfast. We ate around 8:30 am and it was extremely busy. They made sure that nothing was running out and if it was low they immediately filled it. Our room was spacious. My only complaint (if you could even call it that) would be that there were no utensils etc in the suite, we had to ask at the front desk ... Read more

When Jacksonville, FL officials expanded the flood surge evacuation zones my extended family of eight had to pack up and leave quickly. Nothing available within 200 miles of our home. We settled on the Holiday Inn in Fairhope, AL and we were glad we did, not withstanding the 6.5 hour drive. The entire staff was probably the most hospitable crew we've encountered in many years. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Fairhope, AL, at the end of October, 2016, and we were very pleased. The room was quite large and seemed new. Everything was clean and neat. The people at the reception were very pleasant and efficient. The free breakfast was not particularly exciting but good enough for a free meal. They had a varied selection to chose from and the breakfast area was clean. I can highly recommend this hotel.

This is quite an unusual Holiday Inn Express, but in a good way. It is a little less cookie cutter and the room we had was exceptionally large. The location is handy in terms of restaurants and access to services. It is quiet and serene with a nice outdoor pool (unheated) area. Breakfast was the standard HIE fare. It is a little bit of a drive to beaches. The Fairhope area has a certain graciousness that we found desirable.
