The staff here was very friendly and helpful. We stayed for the Alabama State youth soccer tournament. They were ready for us! Kids and parents from everywhere! There are a couple of family restaurants within walking distance which was nice after a long day at the soccer fields

Staff was very helpful and courteous. Pool was closed, but they worked it out so we could use the pool at a nearby location. Staff was helpful despite a massive Sports tournament in town and hotel full of guests. Breakfast was good but not the best I've had at a Hampton.

We were there for soccer state cup abs were very happy with this hotel. I love that they change ALL the bedding, even the comforter, between guests. The room was very clean. Breakfast was good one day, but not so hot the second and we went to get breakfast somewhere else. That's the only complaint I have. But they gave me extra honors points to make up for it. We will definitely stay here again.

Very nice and clean hotel, close to dining and shopping areas. The only issue experienced during this stay, was the useless in-room wi-fi internet connection. Would definitely stay at this hotel again, when I am in the area.

Close to Jack Allen Recreation Complex. Very close to food ( fast food and others and stores( Publix and Walmart.) Rooms clean and spacious. Great place for soccer teams. Easy to reach from I 65. Non smoking and has pool. Good rate.

Upon arrival our room was neat and clean. Although my husband and I only stayed one night, I would stop and stay there again. There was a good selection of food on the breakfast buffet and they kept it filled.

Price was high but other than that I have nothing bad to say. Everything and everyone was good/ friendly. The breakfast was WAY more than I expected, had a lot of different options. It even tasted good. Staff that was preparing breakfast was more than welcoming.

Pool looked inviting, but we were too busy to use it. Was in town for a wedding. Hotel is close to many restaurants and shopping. Love the colors in the decorating. Breakfast was good. Staff was great.

I stayed here one night in June along with my family and parents. We immediately had to switch rooms because there were ants all over the entry way and in the bathroom. My parents decided to stay in their room because they initially believed there weren't any ants, but they later found a few and one even crawled onto my mom's arm as she sat on the bed. Yuck! The only nice thing about this hotel was the complimentary breakfast. If this is the nicest hotel in Decatur, stay in another city nea... Read more

We like Hampton Inns. This one was good like all the others. Comfy beds with lots of fluffy pillows, which I love. Breakfast was good, but similar to the others. Helpful staff. Nice fitness room. Didn't smell sweaty. Good to walk on the treadmill after driving all day. Tricky getting to the hotel off Highway 65. Our Tom-tom didn't take us to the right address. The hotel was actually a little further down the road.

Nothing fancy here but a solid hotel. The staff were great and friendly. Pool was nice. We stayed in a King Suite and it was awesome. We were in town for the Hot Air Balloon festival. Did a little issue with breakfast. Not the usual choices and it was cold. We stayed here 2 nights.

Hotel is in a really good location. Easy access to restaurants and local attractions. Hotel staff was helpful and friendly. The only 2 complaints I have are the hallway carpets are filthy . maybe the worst I've ever saw, and if checkout is 12:00 why is house keeping knocking on the door at 9:30. I would stay here again but I hope these problems are fixed.

When you stay at a hotel that is 150 per night that advertises Internet, I expect it. The internet works about 10% of the time and for 5-10 minutes. If you need to work or watch shows on your gadgets skip this hotel. Boo. Won't be here again. It's 2016. Invest in Internet

I loved everything about this hotel. Very friendly, courteous, and professional staff. Decor of the lobby area and rooms very stylish. Very pleased. And awesome breakfast. Check out was at noon which I absolutely loved. We didn't have to rush leaving. Gave us a chance to enjoy the pool one last time before we left.

The people were warm and welcoming. The hotel is okay. My opinion is that it is booked pretty solid all of the time. It really needs carpets shampooed and some deep cleaning. The bed and linens were clean enough but the room did not smell clean. The breakfast was good and they served something to eat in the evening. The location is good. Lots of places to walk to and eat. I am giving this hotel an average rating.

My family and I stay at the Hampton Inn every Thanksgiving. The staff are accommodating and the rooms are clean. The breakfast is great with many options to choose from. Staff changes every year so you may get someone lazy who doesn't stay on top of the breakfast bar but just complain at the front desk and they get on it right away. We stay for the location too. It's closer to many places we visit. Applebee's is right next to it and if you eat there and show them proof that you're staying at... Read more

We stayed overnight here on our way home from a trip to Gatlinburg. How I wish this hotel had been in Gatlinburg! The staff were friendly, welcoming and accommodating. We booked a King room and although it was not that spacious, the room was immaculately clean and the bed was heavenly! Was very impressed with the breakfast. A wide variety of traditional and healthy choices. Highly recommend!

Another good stay at Hampton Inn. No complaints. Easy checkin, clean. Similar to other Hampton Inn's, the breakfast staff was surprisingly attentive and friendly. Kamla was the staff member who was particularly attentive to guests.

I travel every week and Hampton is a mainstay because they are clean and consistent! This Hampton however has an added touch of Southern Hospitality and her name is Shayne. The hotel was filled with children for a youth sporting event and she was incredibly hospitable to this group and helped the kids find activities in the lobby. I was tired from a long day and had just missed happy hour. NO WORRIES she says; there's a Coors Light with your name on it! I will be visiting Decatur once a mon... Read more

Nice, friendly, clean facility. We were on a road trip and it was a good place to stop to rest up. Probably the friendliest hotel staff we've encountered in a long time. The rooms were spacious without being crowded. The bathroom was fine but could use an exhaust fan. Food choice at breakfast was varied and plentiful. I liked the coffee service in the lobby. Cookies available 24 hours were a hit with the kids. Outdoor pool needs cleaned---only downside to our stay.

We have stayed at this hotel in the past even recommending it to others but this last stay will make me look into other area hotels. We needed extras towels for nighttime baths that the children were taking and for showers in the morning. When I approached the front desk the staff person was checking in new arrivals. I would state her name but she did not have a name tag on. I waited in line for my turn after the people who were in front of me. She looked up and asked what I needed and I... Read more

Hotel was clean, room was nice and clean. Breakfast the first day was sparse and a little dried out. The second morning of our stay was a little better. The room had a chair and a lamp over in the corner. Might I suggest maybe a little corner table as well to set a glass or book on so you don't have to use the floor.

We stayed here on a trip to/from the beach. It is a few miles off I-65, but for a lower price and better food options than chains if you go into old town Decatur, it's fine with me. The room was clean, shower pressure good, and the beds were comfortable. The pool was simple, but fine. The breakfast was decent. So I stay in Hilton brand hotels at least 50 nights a year. This Hampton is kind of average, but is decent. You can tell from the exterior that it is an older property, but the decor in the rooms is updated. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. The Internet worked fine, although I noticed some others complaining about that on here. Applebees right next door if you don't want to venture out. I also saw an O'Charley's and Logans Roadhouse down the road. If you're coming off ... Read more

We like the Hampton Inns, and this one did not disappoint. We had a clean comfortable room. The breakfast buffet was really good and there was a friendly staff member taking care of it. I used the laundry facility there and the machines worked fine, except I had to add more quarters to the dryer to finish drying the load.

Nice and friendly staff. The hotel was quiet during my stay. There is an Applebee's restaurant about 100ft away from the front entrance; going to dinner was easy! The fitness room is of average size. It has dumbells, one eliptical, one treadmill, one exercise bike, medicine balls, SPRI ball and a PRECOR FTS Glide. There is a pool on site. We recently stayed at the Decatur Hampton Inn in conjunction with a family reunion. I must say that while my expectations were pretty modest (low), I was pleasantly surprised. This is definitely an older property but it's been maintained fairly well. The room was clean and comfortable and reasonably updated. Checkin was super easy. I pre checked before arrival and the front desk eased me though the arrival process. I really have to wonder if this property was recently remodeled. Everything seemed new...the carpet, the linens, the bathrooms. If I am wrong they do a superior job of property maintence. Either way kudos.

I am an HHonors member, so choosing the Hampton Inn - Decatur AL was a no-brainer, even though there were hotels 10-15 minutes closer to my appointment. The price for this hotel was just over $100 tax included, so this stay was an especially good bargain. There was nothing particularly special about this hotel because EVERY Hampton Inn delivers the goods every single time.
