Everything was very nice. We had a great deal due to the wedding block of rooms. It was connected to a mall which was handy. Lots of restaurants in the area. Room service was fine. The best thing, though, was how friendly the staff was. I mean really, really friendly. Maids always greeted us and asked how we were doing. Entrance to hotel and proceeding to,self park was a mess. Especially if there was an event and people were leaving. Parking was expensive.

Stayed in a king size room with my boyfriend. The room itself was so comfortable and a large room. We stayed comfortably for two weeks. The room was lovely and clean and the hotel staff very welcoming. The hotel is directly attached to the mall which is so convenient, although it meant I spent a lot of money shopping!

This place was great! Clean, comfortable and courteous... We stayed on the 14th floor which has its own lounge... Breakfast, snacks, hors devours and deserts along with coffee and other drinks throughout the day in the private lounge. And the cost was cheaper than some budget motels in the area!

The hotel was nice, meeting rooms pleasant and breakfast at the Pub in the lobby area was great. The room was clean but the AC for the room was terrible. Despite the maintenance people working on twice the room never cooled off prior to checkout the next day.

Very nice hotel! Rooms have been updated and are very modern, clean and comfortable. The staff was very professional. It is very convenient being connected to the Riverchase Galleria Mall. There is a large food court there and several good restaurants in the area. Do not pay extra for the Club Level since the food provisions are very skimpy and not worth the extra money.

I have just checked in and am not impressed. I paid for a club level room but was given a room on the 9th floor with club access. This is not the same thing! The room quality is comparable to a Comfort Inn. The view from the room is of the parking lot. The staff had my driving companions move to the fire lane to wait while I checked us in. Customers were smoking all around this area even though No Smoking signs were clearly posted. At this moment, there is no value for the money I have sp... Read more

The problem with this hotel is that it has a Hyatt name but not the Hyatt quality. Staff is wonderful but the carpets in all the rooms our group stayed in were dirty and stained. Also, they make you pay for parking which is ridiculous because they are not downtown but next to a mall. Most of our group parked at the mall.

Over all I had a nice stay here. I was disappointed in the fitness room. It is also the access point to the pool so there's a trail of wet foot outings from door to door and the entire room was in need of some straightening up. My bed was comfortable with clean linens. The food at the reception was great. I recommend the short ribs.

Toilet seat so old the varnish was worn and the bathroom sink had been broken and repaired by someone with no clue. Horrendous room!

All great, but the already stated note about the couple next door., hearing every word, every conversation, every argument, hearing every word and moment of the couples next door sexual activity was horrible.

Loved the stores connected directly to the hotel. Very nice clean rooms -- lots of places to eat. 2 in the hotel and lots more in the galleria. We ate at Ruby Tuesdays but better try one of the other restaurants. The service was poor. There is a steakhouse or casual restaurant in the hotel that were good. Also Olive Garden and others.

Nice hotel and even greater staff! From the phone call before I arrived until check out, it was all delightful. The servers at Merk's were so friendly and efficient. Having a mall attached is another awesome perk!

I recently stayed at The Winfrey in Birmingham for a conference. This was my first time staying in this particular hotel. Check in was very efficient and I was in my room within 10 minutes of arriving at the hotel. Staff was courteous throughout my stay. Valet services were prompt and professional. I really enjoyed the fact that the hotel is connected to the Gallaria

We had to come here from Savannah, Georgia because of Hurricane Matthew. Georgia's hotels were 100% sold out. We booked on the phone and they were waiting for us when we got there. After driving for 15 hours it was nice to beer welcomed by polite smiling faces. They waived our paying fees. Our room was white glove clean. Not even 5 minutes of our kids' heads touching the pillows they were knocked.... both nights. The beds felt like heaven to my sciatica. The water pressure was great and the temp... Read more

If you are looking for a great place to stay, especially if visiting BAMA, UAB, Sanford, or Birmingham Southern (with a great mall attached), this is the place for you to stay. Friendly staff, nice amenities and great meeting facilities for business travelers.

If you don't have to leave the room, you should be fine. If you do don't bother with Merks, the front desk or the fitness room. The best part of the stay was the brownie sundae from room service. (And the woman was wonderful) I get a late night sweet tooth and my husband is a light sleeper, she was very discrete.

This hotel was very nice. All the employees were super helpful and went out of their way to remember our name and assist and we were only there one day! Only issues were some stains on the bedroom carpet and toilet tissue holder literally only a screw sticking out of wall. Overall pleasant and great location.

I stayed one night on the Regency floor (15th). A complementary hot breakfast (6-10am) and afternoon snacks (5 - 8pm) is included. Cocktails are offered as well ($5). Room was very good and comfortable. Parking is NOT FREE. Self parking ($8) and Valet ($12) per day. Van Shuttle is available to nearby venues. I would stay here again.

I enjoyed my stay at the Hyatt Regency. The location was excellent and being connected to the mall was a plus. The price of the room was also unbeatable. Check in was easy but was a bit slow. Room service is a bit pricey, but with all the restaurants in the area you can easily get something else.

I absolutely loved this hotel! It exceeded my expectations. Check in was a breeze. The room was comfortable and spacious and thoughtfully designed. The staff was warm, welcoming and very knowledgeable and accommodating. The fact that the hotel is in the mall is a big plus. Great shopping is just 2 munutes from your room and still does not interfere with one's quiet enjoyment of the hotel's facilities. I will be back!

Helpful staff, clean room, breakfast is very nice...and you can shop til you drop with the connection of the hotel with the shopping center. You will need to pay for parking, but its very easy to go in and out in self parking or use valet. There's a food court in the shopping center and yes there's a MacDonalds there. Olive Garden Restaurant is nearby. The hotel has a Shula's Restaurant that's on the pricey side...but with so many choices its not a biggie. All in all a nice stay...and oh the v... Read more

We stayed at the Wynfrey for our wedding night. It was nice, though we had to remind them several times about our package upgrades (late check-out, complimentary breakfast, etc.). We also had loud guests on the floor with us who yelled late into the night and early morning. But other than that, the room was nice and parking was easy.

It was dim lighting and late when we went to bed at night and we left early Saturday morning so we did not notice the sheets until checkout on ,sun when we were checking to ensure we had all of our belonging. The discover was like a punch in the gut. Reported it to front desk staff and was assured that the hotell management would contact me regarding the incident. I have not heard from them. It is... The room itself was great - with a big bathroom and everything clean and in very good condition. As mentioned in another review they have a great feature where a little light comes on from the bottom of the nightstand when you step in front of it, to light your way in the dark. Great idea! I'd go back. I was upgraded to their 7th floor where they featured a club lounge with happy hour, continental breakfast etc. I was not around for any of these times but popped in later in the evening out o... We stayed here for a quick night away for our 13 year anniversary. We upgraded to a king room on the 15th floor concierge level. The room seemed nice and clean but ordinary. The shampoo and conditioner made my hair really flat, so I would suggest others bring their own. I really liked that they had name brand Kleenex. They also had Starbucks coffee in the room to go with the coffee maker. The bed was not very comfortable to me, but my husband said it was fine. Our toilet paper holder was also br... Read more

I flew into Birmingham for a 3 day business meeting at the Wynfrey. My rate was a very reasonable $106 for a 5 star hotel. (The 14% tax rate brought it up to around $120.) The standard rate for seniors and members is $20 higher. There are options that can push that up considerably higher such as parking for $12 - $18 per night and concierge level with breakfast and evening appetizers. That will add another $30 or so. The connection to the Galleria is a real advantage to all visitors, not j... Read more

Hyatt Regency Birmingham is attached to a mall. It is surrounded by restaurants and has restaurants in the lobby as well as in the mall area. We literally just slept there. The hotel room was clean. The staff was very friendly. The only annoying thing is that they charge for parking. You could literally leave your car in the mall lot and walk thru the mall to the hotel and not be charged. For me that was the worst thing about the hotel.

The rooms are very clean & spacious. Everything you need from food to clothes is right at your fingertips. You can enter the mall right in the lobby of the hotel, or walk out the parking lot & head to olive garden, or longhorn statehouse. If ever in Birmingham, Al stay here you will not be disappointed.

Friendly, helpful staff Comfortable Bed Decent views (from 15th floor, anyway) In-Room safe that fits a larger laptop The Cons: Pricey - it's Hoover, AL for Pete's sake, not Atlanta! Annoying $12/day parking fee - since real estate is so hard to find in Alabama, and the hotel is SURROUNDED by shopping mall parking, yeah that makes sense to charge for parking!
