Great staff and a very nice clean property. Be aware of a very busy highway to the rear. I was in the front with no road noise but could easily hear the guest next door coughing a few times and answering the call of nature at 3am.

We arrived to find one of the maids left in charge of the front desk. She did not know what to do with guests checking in and told us the front desk attendant would be back in five minutes from smoking. Five minutes turned to ten minutes but we couldn't really complain because we were an hour earlier than check in time. We reserved two rooms and they were both available early. As far as hotel rooms go, these had a nice size living room area and two big closets. Bedding was comfortable but the ma... Read more

Our room was on 2nd floor. It faced the interstate and was very noisy all night. The walls are also thin and you could hear right thru them. Shower took a while but it did get hot and was powerful. Internet worked well and was free. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was okay but don't expect it to early. The maid barricaded herself in right up until opening time even though there were over 50 of us who just wanted a bagel or such to go with our coffee. She had a major attitude when we aske... Check in was a breeze!! The staff was very friendly. The room was nice a little bit on the small side for a king suite but it was manageable. But something happened to my family at this hotel that has never happened before and we will never forget it. When I checked in the lady asked me what brought us to the area and I mentioned that my son had an Dr. appointment. So later that afternoon we heard a knock at the door and my husband opened the door and it was one of the hotel staff with a card wi... Read more

Had to get new keys made 3 times. That was bad enough, but never did desk personnel ask for name or id to verify that we actually were the occupants of said room. Had to request toilet paper as maids left woefully inadequate supply

We reserved the night before on Travelocity for $99 for one night. It's super clean, very friendly desk attendants (Gloria was soooo helpful and generous), and we couldn't believe how nice the room, pool, and breakfast was. Breakfast includes eggs, meat, and make your own waffles as well as cereal, muffins, juices, and breads. The beds are double sheeted with no comforters (the clean standard for hotels now). It's quiet and clean.

We stayed in this hotel on the way down to Florida for a family vacation. We arrived in Birmingham late on a Friday and we were still able to get a room and at a reasonable price. The staff were very helpful and we able to book a room in only a few minutes. Pros Great staff Clean room Pool , Exercise room Free breakfast Fast wifi Cons Limited breakfast

We were traveling through Birmingham and needed a place to stay. Marriott representatives recommended this location. It is newly remodeled and was very clean. No complaints about the hotel location, cleanliness, decor, or the staff. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is in a very safe and convenient area. It's located off the highway and is surrounded by some wonderful restaurant options. The facility was clean and nicely decorated. So why the average review, two reasons: unc... Read more

Nice property but staff is lazy and not very friendly, stay somewhere else if you want service better than a monkey could deliver. Property is kind of hard to get to from the interstate. No kid friendly programming!

We spent 28 days while undergoing surgery. There was 4 of us and we enjoyed it very much. The breakfast was amazing (we never tired of it). Very friendly staff. Almost seemed like a vacation instead of a medical stay.

Upon entering my room, there was pubic hair on bathroom floor, tiny pieces of used toilet paper on bathroom floor, dirty (large) balled up tissue on closet floor, old coffee on button of coffee maker, toothpaste and spittle on mirror above sink, debris on carpet here and there. Additionally, apparently there is no law in Alabama about how close to a building people can smoke, and someone smoked a cigarette outside of my 2d floor window several times during the night. The antiquated air system, b... Read more

This was one of two Springhill Suites hotels in which we stayed recently, and it was almost on par with the other one in Chattanooga. This property also had some nice upgrades, but the bathroom didn't appear to have been renovated any time recently. (It was clean; just older.) Breakfast was good, with numerous options, and the beds were comfortable and clean. We didn't need to use the pull-out bed, so I can't attest to its comfort.

We arrive late and left early the next morning. This hotel was very difficult to find and signage was poor. When we got to our room, it was was and stuffy but cooled down eventually. Beds were fairly comfortable. The blankets on the beds were very light and gave little options for temperature comfort. The shampoo was half used. The breakfast was sufficient and probably a little better than average for similar properties. We won't stay here again when passing through due to inconvenience and no r... Read more

Beds are comfortable, staff is below average. The room temp is set to 65. Too warm. Good location. Fast checkin. Decent value. I would recommend staying here but lots of room for improvement. Rooms are large with decent amenities. Free parking.

This was midway point for meeting relatives to do a "children exchange" (cousins spending a week with other cousins). The hotel gave us a very good first impression. However, we soon lowered our satisfaction. Essentially, we felt the customer service was a little lacking. Most things we could overlook though, until the morning shower. We saw that there was a hair dryer in the room (tucked away in the closet), but it didn't occur to us to validate that it worked prior to washing our hair. T... Read more

Stayed at this location with my wife and kids. It was a very comfortable stay. The room was fine and the breakfast was good--typical of SpringHill Suites. A few hours down the road, my daughter realized she had left her favorite pillow in the room. I called the front desk and explained the situation. The desk clerk found the pillow and said they would hold it until we passed through Birmingham again. We were able to retrieve it a couple weeks later. Excellent service!

Hotel is in a nice location- very pretty. There never seemed to be a luggage cart available. the manager helped us take our luggage to the 3rd floor. 4 carts were MIA... Room was comfortable and clean. Had issue with the daily replacement of coffee and towels. Never cleaned out coffee pot and never replaced the used kitchen towel in the kitchenette. They were not generous with towels in the bathroom. There were 2 of us and the left exactly 2 bath,2 hand, and2wash cloths. The tub drained extreme... Read more

Typical Springhill- good size room, good work area, fridge, microwave, free breakfast. Was full and noisy at times but location off Rt 280 and I-459 is great. In a business park so its quiet outside at night, no highway noise. Clean room, beds pretty comfortable

Originally, I had booked a room at the other SpringHill in Birmingham near UAB for $94 per night. At the last minute, I booked a room through Hotwire and was assigned to this hotel instead for $64 per night. BEST DECISION EVER! Free breakfast, free wi-fi, free parking! First impression: check in clerk was extremely friendly and helpful. She was very accommodating as I had just traveled from South Carolina and I was tired. Check in was seamless, efficient, and fast! Stayed here twice on business. First room had a broken lock and the TV didn't work. Second time the room was nice but had roaches around the fridge and coffee area. Both rooms had the hardest beds I've ever slept in at a hotel. Service was mediocre. I had left an item in a room and asked if it was in lost and found. I asked at least 3 different people to look and call me and no one ever called me one way or the other. I would expect out of 3 people at least 1 would call me and say it wasn't f... Read more

Spacious rooms, clean and no bad odors. Bed was very comfortable. Continental breakfast had a large variety, something for everyone. Easy check in and out. Only bad thing was no good sign showing you how to get to hotel itself.

When checking in make sure you ask for a room away from the road. This hotel is by a very busy street so there is a lot of noise. I tried to work outside by the pool but the road noise was so loud I could work. Breakfast was less then average. They put a white coverlet over a light comforter. They must not change out the comforter between guess because it was dirty. The coverlet covered it up. The bathroom was clean and the staff was courteous and pleasant.

I reserved 4 rooms here for co-workers and myself. Check in was super, super slow, like 1980's airline reservation slow. Tons of typing and typing and typing, we just wanted to get to our rooms after a long day. Beyond that my rest was good, comfortable bed, nice room, all fine. My other 3 co-workers had complaints of noises all night that woke them up, it sounded like things happening outside. Not sure what it was.

We stayed here on our way home, it can be a little difficult to find as it sits behind 2-3 office buildings. Staff was friendly, room was clean and breakfast was normal Springhill fare, something for everyone. There is a small strip mall down the street with some restaurants that you would need to drive to. It would be nice to walk there but since you would be walking through office building parking lots and no side walks per se, it's not an inconvenience to drive.

The Springhill suites is off 280 in the Colonnade shopping center/business park. The rooms were a good size, had a nice desk and reasonable sofa. Everything you need for business travel. I don't love the location, but if you are working in near the Colonnade, it's a good hotel to base yourself from.

Springhill Suites is a decent budget hotel in the Colonnade area. It is generally clean and comfortable, and the free breakfast is a nice addition and well done. The lobby area was recently renovated and looks modern and fresh. It can be a little tricky to locate the first time across the business park parking lots if you don't use a GPS navigator, but overall the location is fine. Rooms are clean, and the beds are comfortable - about what you would expect from a budget level business hotel.... Read more

my husband and I booked this hotel because it is located beside the cardiovascular office. Where he has an appointment. Check-in was pleasant & quick. We paid $116.33 for one night. A little pricey but I didn't want him to have to fight traffic before his appointment. There is a hidden charge of $23.67 for incidents, in case you have one, I guess.but it's reimbursed 3-5 days after checkout depending on your bank. The room was easily located. Wi-Fi easy to connect. Room temp is controlled by wall... Read more
