I stay here every time I am in the area. I travel extensively and this is the one place that truly feels like home. Friendly and always a pleasure. I recommend it to everyone I talk to headed into town for business.

I am a loyal Marriott rewards member and Residence Inn fan. This particular property did not live up to the Marriott name or my expectations. Here were the main issues: 1. Unfortunately my daughter found and picked up a dirty pair of panties that were not ours! They must have been left there from the last guest. GROSS! (photo attached) 2. The tub was filthy! I hesitated even showering so you can forget bathing your children. (photo attached) 3. I was traveling with my family and the pull... Read more

My husband and I live in the area but had to move out for a week to get our hardwood floors refinished. I really dreaded the move; but, was so pleasantly pleased with our room, the most personable staff and the most delicious breakfast buffet this hotel had to offer. We made friends at their wonderful fire pit and was very sad to leave. We can't wait for another opportunity to go for a visit. We highly recommend this facility as a great place to stay.

We recently relocated to the Birmingham area and the Residence Inn Hoover quickly became our favorite place to stay during our months of looking for a new home. Alyssa and her staff are top notch. Everyone from front desk, to housekeeping, to maintenance and even breakfast staff were friendly and always ready to help us out if needed. We've stayed in a lot of hotels but have never found a staff to be so accommodating. I want to give Norma a special shout out for making sure my husband had grits... Read more

We are Residence Inn junkies. We were moving from Texas to Virginia and stopped here. We had a 1 bedroom suite. The room was clean and spacious. Exactly what we expected. We had to get on the road 30 minutes before breakfast started but I went over hoping to at least get toast and everything was out! The woman was super helpful making me a Togo package for me and the kids. Definetly the best Residence Inn breakfast options.

Very clean and accommodating hotel. We have stayed here 5 years in a row and have never had an issue. We stay for at least 4-5 days running with a sport event. We are able to have a nice breakfast and dinner each day. Laundry is easy and accessible for those long stays. Management is visible and very hospitable. We will be back next year!

This is a very well run facility that has earned my five star rating over time. Having travelled to Birmingham, Alabama many times and stayed at many hotels in the area, I always come back to this Residence Inn. The facility is well maintained but it is the staff that makes this hotel exceptional. I have dealt with most of the front desk personnel and have never had a bad interaction. I've decided Nick Reese is a star in the making. He is extremely personable and professional. He makes you feel ... Read more

My husband had business in the area for two weeks and our two children and I stayed with him. Our stay has been fabulous. All staff, even the housekeeping group, has been so pleasant. The hotel is clean. Breakfast each morning has been so nice. They cook for us on Monday and Tuesday evenings....you get to know the evening staff, as well as other guests. This has truly been an enjoyable trip for our family. I have enjoyed the full size refrigerator and stove top to cook...makes life a bit e... Read more

My family and I had to stay for 3 weeks prior to moving into our new home in the area. The room was nice, and the amenities as well, my kids really enjoyed the Mix they had a few times each week. You also can't beat the location, close to the mall and Highway, quick trip to downtown. The best part of the whole experience was the front desk staff. They were all great but Alyssa (manager) Nick and Tia regularly went above and beyond to not only meet our needs but exceed them. We are not easy custo... Read more

This Residence Inn exceeded my expectations! From the time we checked in the staff was nothing but wonderful. The evening social hour was great Monday thru Thursday. It was located 5-7 minutes from the mall and other shopping. Lots of places to eat IHOP is right across the street!. The hotel was very clean even the fitness room. Very nice pool! I have nothing negative to say about this hotel. We were there for 6 days and never a bad day. We will stay there for sure when in the area again

I Stayed here with my family for a weekend trip. Staff at this hotel were very friendly and respectful. Continental breakfast was great and served from 6am-9am. Our room was a Studio king with sofa bed. Sofa bed slept okay. Bathroom could've been a little cleaner.

A little different than your old school residence inn. More like a hotel with interior hallways. Staff was fantastic and the rooms are large and typical for a residence inn. Couple of things Marriott could do to improve though. Wifi limits access to 3 devices. Come on Marriott, this is 2016, most people have at least 2 per person. Most people stay here a few days I would think, so they might want to exercise. The exercise room is extra small and can't accommodate more than 3 people. The TV chann... Read more

Had a neat little kitchen with everything you could need or want . Sitting area with clean comfortable furniture. Bedding was top notch . Hotel was quiet and safe . The breakfast needed a little help , but for complimentary ,can't complain . The manager was very personable and welcoming and friendly . I certainly choose the right place and would reccom... Booked this hotel on rewards points based on location & price for a one-night stay on a family road trip though Alabama. Check-in staff was exceptionally friendly & accommodating. The lobby was LOUD with a church youth group just being a happy group of kids. It was not a problem, and we did not hear anything from our room. We stayed in 319 - a 1-bedroom, 2-room suite with queen bed + sofa bed. Free wifi, free breakfast, clean room. We would stay here on rewards if traveling through again.

Booked this hotel for work purposes. Upon check-in, Sunday night, we had some issues with the room. Nick and Jeremy, the front desk staff, went above and beyond to try to make our stay comfortable. They assured to look into the matter on Monday morning since it was too late to do much else. The next morning, Alyssa, took care of everything and more! Every single person we met was friendly, courteous, efficient, and kind! You would think that the Inn is owned by everyone that works there with the... Read more

I was looking for a place to stay while traveling from Western KY to Florida panhandle with three small children. A full kitchen and the option for a suite with separate bedroom was a must. This property is perfect. Rooms were clean and quiet, front desk was helpful, and the property is in a nice, safe area. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed here for two nights and enjoyed the quietness and professional service of this hotel. The front desk service was efficient and friendly. The rooms were large, quiet, and clean. The breakfast: sausage, eggs, biscuits and gravy, ham. yogurt, hot oatmeal with lots of fixings, cheese, brie, strawberries, pineapples, cantelope, juice, soymilk, milk, coffee, waffles. They kept the place stocked and clean. Guests were very friendly and helpful as well. We had fun chatting with other people w... Read more

I haven't had the time or energy to write a hotel review in quite a while (I have a toddler and I'm expecting another baby). However, I must share how great I think this hotel stay was. My family of 3 plus a dog stayed for 4 nights. We meet in Birmingham a lot for visits because my husband travels for work. We have stayed in at least 8-10 different hotels within this city (bham). This one has been my favorite. We were in a studio which was more than enough room for all of us. The room was clean ... Read more

We recently stayed the Labor Day weekend here and brought our Scotty along with us since this is a pet friendly hotel. The hotel was wonderful, clean, comfortable, and the staff was excellent. The place appears to have been recently remodeled and was very nice. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and a Wal-Mart across the street. Breakfast was pretty good, but didn't seem to keep up with the number of people eating. We will definitely stay here again when in the area.

This place was amazing truly enjoyed how clean this place was and breakfast was good also. But more than that the Staff was on point. The GM She went above and beyond to make EVERYONE feel welcome and The manager he was also awesome with a great sense of humor and so friendly and the breakfast lady on the weekdays was great she always had everything stocked fully. And then the little bonus was the free wine/beer on certain nights. The only thing I could think to complain about is no fan in the... Read more

My son and I stayed here via a Priceline deal, and were blown away by the value and how nice everyone was. Everything about the property was new, modern and clean. Our room was huge and included a full kitchen as well as spacious bathroom and comfortable bed. The outdoor pool was a bit chilly, but refreshing! A great hot breakfast service is included in the stay ?? and not just standard continental fare, but upped the ante with hot waffles, scrambled eggs, andouille sausage, make-your-own break... My girlfriend and I had an amazing stay. Everything was renovated and spacious. There's a kitchen that is lovely. The room also comes with a sofa and a tv on a spinning stand and the beds are to die for... literately! Plus the city is perfect for cute young couples.

The bathrom faucet had a hidden leak which housekeeping didn't notice. The floor would end up in puddle of water each day. I mentioned this at end of our stay. All they did was offered apologies even after i responded to their survey

We stopped in for a night on our way to TN. It was 4 mins from the interstate. The rooms are huge. The bed was comfortable. They are also QUIET, which is priority #1 for us. Breakfast included hot buffet, not just continental items. It was constantly being restocked so we didnt run out of anything. All of the employees I talked with were more than polite. They were friendly. The hotel was clean. Couldn't ask for more.

Stayed here one night while traveling through. Check in was easy and quick. Was given a suggestion on a quiet room, and it was a really nice quiet room. The rooms are decent size and clean. There was a nice kitchenette and sofa. It looked updated. Once we went to bed, I didn't hear any noises from the hall. We left before breakfast was served the next day.
