My family and I stayed the Quality Inn & Suites on 280 in Birmingham on August 5-9, we had an awesome stay! The hotel was nice and clean, beds were comfy as well. The staff was great even the breakfast attendant Ms Nina helped me with the kids breakfast! My kids enjoyed the pool as well, we will definitely stay here again! See you soon Mrs Sanders

We were driving through the South, and Birmingham was a half-way point. Since we are Choice Hotel members, we selected this Quality Inn. The area is Very nice, lots of familiar restaurants & stores nearby- It is just off the 459 Loop, I'm always more concerned about the neighborhood of unknown cities, but was very pleased.-Very upscale shopping area (Cheesecake Factory, etc) nearby. It is a Little tricky to locate because the area is full of businesses, but it is directly behind a Chic-Fil-A... Read more

Checked in during daylight. Had motorcycles due to Barber races. Someone tried to steal one of the bikes. The parking lot was dark since the lights (3 out of 4) were out and it is located behind a Chick-filet away from the main road and there is no security. Manager refused to come in (his day off) and show a possible video and referred to his sign (which is so faded as to appear totally blank) of not being responsible. All motorcyclist guests scrambled to attain safer parking near the front... Read more

Upon our arrival I went in to check in. There was no one at the desk. I had to holler hello a couple of times before desk stepped from the back office. Check in went smoothly. Room was clean and comfortable. We needed extra towels and when I went to desk to ask for them. Again there was no desk clerk and I had to holler to get his attention. Breakfast was your standard hotel breakfast but was good for our family.

Selling my home and use this locale when agents have open house or showing. I have found the staff to be exemplary. The manager,Ms Pippens always has a smile and goes out of her way to accommodate me. The room is spacious and well prepared; totally meeting my needs.the breakfast is one of the best of a comparable hotel/ inn. I highly recommend.

I truly feel sorry for the owner of this hotel. It is a very clean, updated hotel and it is obvious that they have invested a great amount to make this place as nice as possible. Their problem is their staff! It all started with the front desk person that was working on Friday evening, June 17th 2016 around 10:00pm. She was not rude, but she never smiled once. Never made eye contact. Made me feel that I was bothering her by giving her my money. When we got to the room is was nice and clean... Read more

We had a good stay here last year, and decided to stay here again as Birmingham is a half-way point for our annual trip East. It was just as good as last year, basic clean hotel, great for travelers needing a clean & quiet location. Good breakfast & it was very economical. Will definitely make this our regular stop.

If ratings were based on what you really should expect for the money, then I'd give this hotel a 4 or 4.5. I spent roughly $80, which was a pretty good deal in Birmingham on a game weekend. The hotel is in a great location, its on 280, which is a VERY BUSY highway. The good news is that there's a traffic light at the hotel entrance making it very easy to get on the highway (believe me this is important on 280!). Also, there's a Chic-fil-A right next to the hotel and a Dunkin Donuts across th... Read more

The hotel was nice but more expensive that other Quality Inns that we had stayed in on this trip. It was during Hurricane Matthew and many were coming inland to stay so we had a hard time finding a room. Was more expensive than most Quality Inns and we wondered if it had to do with many other hotels sold out. It was quiet on the backside of 3rd floor. It was adequate for one night.

My husband and I stayed in this hotel in April 2012 and again in January 2014. The hotel is very nice overall, the rooms are spacious and well appointed. The swimming pool was nice as well. I always inquire whether the room windows can be opened to let fresh air in. At our first stay in the hotel, we were told that the windows open, and they did, indeed, which was great. The second time, however, we were told the windows can be opened so we booked a room of the same type (2 queen beds on a ... Read more

I can't pull up the QI we stayed in. It was in Irondale. This hotel was old but refurbished. The bed is awesome. The room has a microwave, fridge, and coffee maker. Breakfast was awesome. The had scrambled eggs, pan sausage, and waffles. They had 3 cereals, and all manor of breads to toast. Also biscuits and gravy. All very good.
