Room Service food was disappointing and Service was only fair, but very friendly. I had to ask multiple times to get the alarm clock set in my room. There was also a dead spider on the bathroom door that I had to ask housekeeping to remove.

The staff are amazing. They took their time with my 90 year old aunt were friendly and wonderful. She was here to graduate college. The front desk girls went out of their way to speak with her anytime they saw her. My family raved about how nice the hotel and their staff was.

We arrived when Emily was on duty. There was a problem with the room being ready. She made a hard time go away. Emily is great! Most of the cleaning staff didn't show up for work and rooms hadn't been cleaned. Emily was extremely helpful & professional. Later that evening she helped again with coffee for the morning she was wonderful! Thank you Emily!

We normally love HGI but will not stay at this one again! They moved us to another room and it smelled like smoke! The next morning breakfast was good but they did not offer water and we had to ask for silverware then they brought bar napkins not lap napkins

Don't order food from this resturant. Not good at all. Please employ better people in the restaurant. They need to train staff to be more professional and not blame folks who check into the hotel for their mistakes.

Had stopped staying here due to quality/cleanliness of room and due to rudeness of staff. Returned after a year of staying elsewhere due to price this time around. Some improvements have been made. Area is deteriorating but is this hotel is still apparently doing well. Still would not be my first choice but I would return as my second choice.

Very clean and extremely helpful employees. Close to Hoover Met Stadium and restaurants. Great shopping! Our team lost quicker then we had hoped & the staff graciously let us cancel a night early. Thanks for everything.

I was in town for the SEC Baseball Tournament. Very easy access to stadium - in an area with plenty of things to do between games - wonderful outside area for smoking with a covered patio - accommodations were very homey and in an area I felt very secure with.

The room had not been serviced prior to our arrival. There were stains on the floor upon entering the room. The microwave and fridge were dirty. There were long strands of hair in the sink and on the floor in the bathroom and the toilet hinges were dirty. We reported our findings to the clerk, who was apologetic and offered to move us or have the room taken care of. We chose the latter to avoid the inconvenience of having to repack and move.

We stopped here driving from TN to FL for one night. Conveniently located near I-65. Very friendly staff at the front desk and breakfast that were the highlight of the stay. Overall this is your normal HGI but it is starting to show its age and look a little tired overall. Indoor pool with a small workout area. Plenty of parking. Okay overall and certainly not a bad choice but we'll try somewhere else next time.

From my arrival, I was greeted with a smile at checked in by Erica. She is the image HGI's would want in front desk personnel. The hotel lobby and room was clean and comfortable. However, The shower desperately needed updating. I stayed in 2 different rooms during my stay. The tubs in each room had bad drains and shower heads were old and not working efficiently. My overall stay was great. From check in to check out. Excellent service, Good food, and a nice room. Extremely satisfied. I also want to mention the breakfast buffet was very good, actually, in my opinion, the taste was above hotel quality. Hats off to the breakfast staff for superior quality.

This hotel provided exceptional service. Each staff member was friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. The location is perfect - lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. The room was very clean and well laid out. We were extremely pleased with our stay there.

Whenever we travel overnight we try to book our rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn hotels. They are always clean, quiet, and offer 2 comfortable Queen sized beds which we need when traveling with 2 teenaged boys. When it's just us we get the King bed option. They usually have nice amenities and we haven't been disappointed in our stays yet. Hilton also offers reward points which is nice if you stick with the same hotel chain or travel a lot. Great experience and great service. The person at the desk welcome me with a smile, gave me two bottles of water. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. I falled asleep very quick and I woke up very rested.

The staff was very friendly and always helpful. We found our room to be quite peaceful and quiet although the hotel was very busy. We would recommend this hotel and would return when needing a place to stay in Birmingham.

I selected the hotel because of the presence of a restaurant and bar. I was extremely disappointed that the manager closed the restaurant and bar at 8p rather than 10p both Saturday and Sunday nights (Independence Day was Monday). There was mold in the bathroom, the drain plug was broken. Light bulbs burned out. Key card access from side doors broken so could only go in through lobby. Front desk was friendly. Hotel was quiet and had a nice tv.

The hotel was great....staff was extremely nice. Food in the restaurant was awesome! We will definitely stay there again! I had cataract surgery and the staff was really good to make sure we had everything we needed--the front desk attendant even asked me if I wanted ice cream when I got back. It was a very good overall experience.

Arrived here late, wearying from hours of driving. The front desk clerk was friendly and attentive. The room was modern, clean and comfortable. We had a very good night's rest and would have enjoyed staying longer. But the road called!

The hotel receptionist told me that cash was not accepted and a credit card must be used as the payment method. I was not allowed to discuss the matter with the hotel manager. I would not advise anyone to stay at this hotel . I checked into hotel that was nearby and served breakfast.

We take our grandsons to the beach each year and we stopped here on our return trip. Their main goal is to swim. The pool was absolutely filthy with chunks of hair and pockets of dirt. We notified the Manager and all she did was push the hair to one end of the pool and did nothing with the dirt. We stayed at this hotel two times (to & from our destination/trip). On our way to MS, we stopped to break up our trip. We arrived fairly late & the front desk staff was very friendly & welcoming! We checked into our king suite & were very pleased. It was clean & quite spacious. I think any decent hotel that is priced under $100 is a good deal . The hotel is clean, easy to get to and ample parking available. It has a bar, which we did not go to and a restaurant which we only used for breakfast. BY THE WAY, breakfast is $9.95 here... Nothing free. We have stayed here before on our way to the beach. It is what you would expect from a Hilton Garden Inn. The beds are comfortable, the staff is friendly, and the hotel is clean. It is convenient to the highway and there are several food establishments near by. Overall it was a nice experience.

Upon check out, ensure they knew whether military gets tax exempt or not. There were no top floor rooms offered for my stay, why? Have the cleaning staff leave the thermostat where it is. There was almost never any parking available.

We have stopped here on our way back from the Destin Florida area for the last three years. It's about halfway from the beach to our house, convenient location We choose this hotel because we can use our Hilton honor points for a free stay. Staff is very nice and accommodating The rooms, although appearing clean, seem a bit dated and smell a bit musty. Looks like it's about time to replace carpets and freshen up the rooms for a more modern feel

My wife and I stayed here due to my step son being in hospital! The room was nasty and the noise level of the hotel was terrible. The manager moved us to another room but then the night time employee at the front desk was not very nice! When we came back to our room around 11:30 he was sitting down watching tv. The hotel check in staff was attentive and wonderful. Our room was clean and comfortable. I would stay here again if I was in Birmingham. It's in a wonderful part of town with lots of dining options. The breakfast in the morning was cooked to order and was fantastic.

I stayed at this hotel for perhaps the fifth time to get my daughter checked back in at Samford. We chose the King Suite to give us extra room. The room was terrific -- allowed my daughter to return after I had fallen asleep without having to wake me up. The hotel if a very short drive to Samford. The breakfast was not complimentary, but was made to order. I will definitely stay there again.

As always with my preferred hotel chain, the staff is super friendly. Always a warm greeting when I walk in. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Minifridge and microwave in room. The lounge and dining are very nice.

I travel to Alabama often because my daughter attends Samford University. I stayed at the Hampton Inn prior, I will stay at this hotel from now on. Great price and great staff. Beds were way more comfortable. I'm sold on Hilton Garden Inn

This was my third or fourth visit. Been to a couple of other Hilton Garden Inns and this is pretty much what you'd expect. In case you're unfamiliar: decor, furniture, etc. will be a little upscale from a typical 3-star place. There is complimentary wifi. Signal strength is ok. Fitness room is small but nice. We stay in Birmingham on a regular basis. For the price this hotel does not meet expectations. Breakfast is not included etc. Room was not ready upon arrival (after 8:00pm...). Normally like to stay with the Hilton brand as they are dependable, hoping this one is an anomoly.

My family and I have stayed in several Hilton Garden Inn hotels, but this one was not as well maintained. The bed I slept in was so squeaky I could not move at all through out the night. Nice hotel good locations but the beds are too hard and pillows are too soft the nabors have a very noisey played TV and all day and night. The pillows were so soft my neck still hurt. I really needed to get some rest and didnt.

The hotel was obviously booked, but only had one person checking people into the hotel. The loud breakfast host quickly lets you know that breakfast is $9.95 and Omelets are extra (but no one knows how much more). If one stays at a busy time the loud staff will let you know how they detest cleaning your mess.

Conveniently located with clean rooms and friendly staff. We were in the meeting room for the majority of the day. My only complaint was that they were cleaning the bathroom during our first break so we were unable to use the facilities. It was a brisk run upstairs! Everyone on the staff was helpful and friendly. I came into Birmingham for a business meeting a day early so I could see some sights and found this hotel to be in a great location. The staff was great and everything was as expected except the free internet....and Google wouldn't let me log into my gmail account because the wireless they're using is old school and doesn't support some of the newer security guidelines, so that was a drag, but other than that this was a great property.

Great location just outside of the city limits of Birmingham, AL. Publix close by along with other food chain restaurants. Staff was EXTREMELY friendly.
