The location on highway 280 was good and has a lot of nearby restaurants. Also the shopping areas are near like the summit. In addition travel and road access is convenient to downtown Birmingham and access to interstate is close.

Small room and bathroom. nice leather stools/tables (?) No fan in the bathroom. Plug in bathroom wouldn't hold plug to my dryer. Advised front desk. Someone can in, but all they did was plug in the nightlight which would stay in because it was so light, unless the door shut hard and then it would fall out. The staff was nice. No Styrofoam or plastic cups just paper.

Best Hotel Stay Ever.....The Greeting we received to the wonderful room. The breakfast had more choices than any other Hampton I have ever stayed at. The housekeeping service has to be one of the best groups ever. The housekeeping staff kept asking as well as the front desk kept being so kind to all of us.

I found the room not to be cleaned properly. The bed sheets were not tight on the bed. It appeaared the bed was made up, but no fresh sheets were used. The breakfast was very limited and not appealing. The breakfast items were all packaged and heated. Only fresh item was bananas. The halls were crowded with linen carts.

This hotel is in a terrific location- Walking distance to shops and eateries in Mountain brook, and easy access to Birmingham via 280. The hotel needs updating again, and the service can be sluggish. However, you can't beat it for the location and price.

I needed a place to stay for business, and while the group rate was down the street, I found the Hampton Inn to be more reasonable. We were arriving late, so called ahead to let them know it would be after midnight. They were accomodating and assured us it would be no problem. When we arrived we were greeted by Antwon and he was so friendly and professsional. We needed extra pillows and he brought them to our room quickly. The room was perfect. driving cross-country this was roughly the half-way point on our way home. My spouse reserved the room while we were in transit. Very nice location, safe area, plenty of restaurants close by, very close to the zoo. Navigating the hallways with the luggage cart was difficult and they don't fit through the room door (probably to keep you from keeping the cart in your room rather than returning it). I have been staying at this location for almost 10 years and have loved the staff and location. However, some really good people are gone now and it is in great need of renovation. The rooms are not clean, beds are old and the rooms are very damp and musty. It's unfortunate as busy as they can be that the owners will not invest in renovations. I have made recommendations to my company to no longer use them. We are alot of their business.

Breakfasts were delicious and free, free wifi, bottled water in the morning and warm chocolate chip cookies at night. The outdoor pool was small but large enough to swim laps and was very clean. Adequate patio seating. A couple restaurant choices in the same parking lot (Mediterranean and TexMex) both good. My room with 2 queen beds was a little small with the closet in the far corner of the room but spacious enough. I would definitely stay here again.

I have stayed at this hotel for the past three years to attend an annual conference at the BJCC. The hotel has always been very nice and what you would expect from the consistent Hampton Inn chain.
