Real nice suite room. Front desk staff, Tiffanie , was friendly and very helpful. The hotel is conveintly located to campus. Close enough but also far enough away. I will stay at this hotel again next time I am in auburn.

Overall, a nice and convenient place to stay when I visit my son at Auburn University. The rooms are clean, but dated...the staff is exceptionally friendly, helpful, and cheerful. Lots of parking and easy access to the highways. Amanda at the reception desk was extremely helpful and friendly - with a huge smile on her face at all times!

Room was a little dated but average for a hotel. Service was quick and friendly. WIFI worked well. We did not use the continental breakfast so I cannot comment on that. The TV was a flat screen with access to a good variety of channels.

Bianca at the front desk was very helpful in resolving an issue I was having. She was very sweet and friendly! She also resolved my issue without showing any "attitude" which is something I appreciate! I will definitely use this hotel again when I am in the area.

We needed a place close to Auburn University for Camp War Eagle. The Clairion Inn offered a great price and was a short five minute drive to the campus parking garage. The building seems older but the room was clean and beds were comfortable. The front desk personnel were friendly. The pool looked fine, but we didn't have time to swim. Breakfast was simple, but the DIY waffles were really tasty! The air conditioner in the room works great but the fan is very loud. My only complaint is about the ... Read more

The hotel was very to find. The rooms themselves were nice. Newly updated. Bathroom left something to be desired. The hotel itself is old and in need of exterior updating. The night we stayed an entire soccer team pulled up at 11:30 Woke everyone up and continued to yell at each other till around 1:00 am. Then around 2:00 am we had a knock and ditch on our door. With an entire soccer team you can image the breakfast in the a.m. It was gone by 7:00 am. The first room they had for us we co... Read more

To be honest I was skeptical by some of the reviews, but it was very clean, the bed was comfortable with 4 pillows per bed, the towels were very plush, and breakfast was descent. The room had a microwave and fridge, The staff was very friendly and accommodating let us check in early, I was very impressed. I will stay here again.

Website is deceiving. This is an older hotel/motel with outside entry rooms. Typically don't stay at hotels like this but like I said website paints a pretty picture. Yuck. Pool side is very loud with obnoxious people trying to be as loud as possible.

I'll just say that I'm a Marriott guy. And if you've been in a Marriott type room it's wayyy different from anything else. The rooms are located outside so this establishment would be classified as a motel than a hotel (motel outdoor, hotel indoor). They have a pretty good size TV in the room. Looks like a 42". The rooms are VERY confusing to get to. They gave me a map and it still took me 15 minutes to find my room after check in. The establishment grounds looked terrible. Probably from the out... I reviewed this hotel on TA and quite honestly - I was absolutely shocked when I checked into my rooms. Now - I only paid $80 / night - BUT - you take your health into your own hands when you stay here. The two rooms I paid for - the king bed rolled everyone to the middle they were so soft. The furniture must have been 20 years old or older. The carpet is a dark color and the socks were dirty after walking on it. The televisions are not updated with hd - so it's hard to enjoy watching it. I cou... Read more

The staff was really friendly though did not follow through with some commitments. There were a few spots in the shower curtains and tub. The mini fridge did not work properly that made it hard to have dinner over night. The cleaning staff was very professional and made sure that you have fresh clean towels. Few working electrical outlets which made it difficult to charge my phone and work on my labtop.

Was in town for business. Years ago this was the go to venue in town for business meetings. Glad to see it is still a quality destination for business travel on Auburn. The staff is friendly and helpful. Tifanie at the front desk is cheerful and goes out of her way to ensure your stay is pleasant.

My trip is to take my dog the oncology vet the Auburn University it is so nice to find a place to stay that not only allows dogs but like them. Room clean, people great, not fancy but a great place to stay.

The hotel was very clean. The front desk clerk Evan was very helpful and attentive to our needs. It was a great value for the price. The breakfast was also very good and filling. It was great to receive a full breakfast bar with hot food and not just bagels and coffee. I would gladly stay at this hotel on future visits to the area.

If you're just looking for a place for crash after a long car drive - say on a roadtrip- this place will do the job. The room itself was clean-ish and the beds were comfortable but we were glad to just spend the night without feeling the desire to unpack anything. On busy weekends hotels are in short supply and prices are higher. This Clarion will suffice. The lobby is a modern facade in front of a traditional motel setup. There are no internal corridors. Three stories tall but elevator only goes to the first two floors. Ice and soda machine first floor. Rooms are older but have been refurbished and so are ok if homey in appearance. There is a microwave, fridge and coffee maker. Double beds with several pillows. There are no USB ports in the desks. Room w... Read more

Second time in a month I stayed here. Stayed 1 night with family for daughter's move in at Auburn, came back by myself for 2 nights for sorority Bid Day. Front desk staff very nice. Very old hotel with a coat of paint in the rooms to cover many problems. No problems with musty or old smells. Carpets just looked liked they needed a good cleaning. Pool area needs much attention and cleaning. Breakfast had very bland eggs and sausage patties; the potatoes were good. No change in menu during... Read more

Stayed here for one night to help our daughter with Auburn functions. Our room was very clean. The furniture was a little worn, but I am sure the motel has heavy use during football season. I've paid much more for rooms at other motels in worse condition. The location is convenient to the campus and to a great variety of dining options. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Overall a better experience then I expected at the price.

Sometimes I wish we could rate a hotel based on it's intended purpose instead of putting them all "head to head" on one scale. I was in Auburn for a night game and needed a place to sleep after the game. For that purpose, this place as perfect. Not quite close enough to walk to from the Stadium but just a minute or so (given traffic) from Toomers Corner. Our room was clean. The AC worked. The place felt safe. The mini fridge kept things cold til morning. The tub shower didn't drain well but the... Read more

The Clarion in Auburn is a dog friendly motel and that is why we decided to stay there. We were traveling along I-85 to the Gulf Coast and found the motel using another pet friendly travel site. This motel was indeed dog friendly. However, if you don't need a dog friendly place, don't stay here. The place is in serious need of updating. The room was musty smelling and the shower had a lot of mold in the grout.

On the plus side, the staff was very friendly, free hot breakfast was quite good, beds were clean. On the downside, the place is in desperate need of an update with old chipped, stained furniture and carpet, most uncomfortable mattresses ever made. Location is ok. Would definitely not pay Gameday rates to stay here; well, or any rates for that matter.

The hotel is very centrally located to Auburn University. We were there to visit our college students and found the hotel more than adequate for a quick stay. The highlight of the stay at Clarion was the bed and pillows were the most comfortable I've found so far in any hotel.

We needed a room for one night on an Auburn football weekend so rather than stay at the Microtel, which we knew was below average in quality, we decided to "upgrade" and pay twice as much to stay at the Clarion. First of all the Clarion is much more of a motel than hotel with drive up outside entrances to the rooms. There may have been interior hallways, but I did not venture far enough inside to find out. The front desk staff members were very nice and helpful. When I walked in the room the air... Read more

This Clarion is deceiving. They call it "Inn & Suites" but I have been in better hotels. This is a Motel. The rooms look alright on the inside with up to date painting but whoever they hired to paint the rooms did not pay attention to detail. Smear of paint in corners. This place use to be a Best Western years and years ago. This is an older property. It doesn't look safe. They fancied up the place with modern colors. WOO HOO!!! The surge protectors power fluctuated and power wasn't consistent. ... Read more
