I really liked this hotel because it was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms are nice, the beds are comfortable. I also really enjoyed the breakfast. It was hot and had many options. I was attending a wedding and the hotel located in great place for me to be able to visit other friends and still get to venue very easy.

We followed the highway signs to this Hampton Inn in Athens. It was easy to find and we had no problems checking in. Everyone was friendly and the room was clean and fresh. Had a problem with the TV but was quickly fixed with a call to the desk. Breakfast the next morning was typical Hampton fare but the lady that ran the place was fabulous! The hotel was very clean, and quiet. Loved the dark room. The check in process was a little longer than I am used to but overall a good experience. The breakfast is the normal Hampton Inn breakfast but the fruit was not up to the usual quality at most Hampton Inns. It looked like it was canned fruit and had been sitting for a while.

I stay at Hampton Inns a good bit and most Hilton properties. This one was a bit of a disappointment. The management of the hotel employees only 1 person early evening and had to wait for some time to check in. They were very nice, but was having to handle everything alone. While the room was nice and clean, there was black mold in the shower. Just not the standard I usually find in this brand.

Usual business trip, but first time here. Great location away from busy Huntsville- which also means fewer nice restaurants. However, this hotel is very much what you'd expect from a Hampton. A/C is governed, naturally, but that is everywhere. The only thing I wish it had that it doesn't is an outdoor lounge area. Does have an indoor pool. Rooms are very modern and clean. Would definitely stay here again.

Air conditioning set up is poor at best. There seems to be set up with a motion detector mounted on the door and turns the unit off after a pre-set time of undetected motion. The sleeping area is blocked from this sensor so during the night the unit shuts down and you wind up waking in a pool of sweat. Most everyone I know turns the cooling down to a lower temperature at night. The bedding is super comfortable but without cooling it becomes miserable, especially in Alabama where it's hot and... The room was awesome - roomy and well laid out. Breakfast was another matter. While I will admit I'm not normal when it comes to my breakfast, the overcooked, fat-laden, grease-soaked egg concoction and limp, tasteless potatoes sent us to Cracker Barrel. Yes, there were other options like waffles, yogurt, cold cereal ... none of which I choose to eat. In their defense, their breakfast fare likely appealed to the masses. I'll pass, thank you.

My wife and I were traveling between the Gulf coast and home in Wisconsin. I had made a reservation earlier in the week for an ADA room. The room was large and beautiful but then I walked into the bathroom. How can you call this room handicapped ready when it has a bathtub that must be stepped over to shower. There was a flimsy shower chair that was missing one of it's rubber leg cushions. I don't know why hotels insist on equipping room with tubs when we have an aging population.
