Point Pleasant has been our "crash" spot, having stayed 7 times in 6 units over the past 10 years. There are two options for staying here, either renting through the rental management company or directly from an owner on VRBO. We have done both, and there are pros and cons of each. Renting with the resort plan means you get a full breakfast at the waterside cafe, use of kayaks and other such equipment, and transportation on the East End plus weekly excursions to Magen's Bay beach. This convenien... Read more

We stayed closest to the water as we have a couple mobility issues. There is a great free cooked breakfast included. But you need to manage 32 steps down to the restaurant at waters edge. Sitting at Breakfast you'll see Tarpon cruising in the water. Great chef here. Good Food. Best view rooms are at the top of the hill and they have free shuttles around resort. Very nice pools (3). Very pleasant stay but NOT for handicapped or those who hate stairs.

Situated on a cliff so the views are just great. Really nice, though walking around is a haul! To go off site the shuttle will take you places but to schedule your own sightseeing and to have freedom to explore you'll want a rental car. Anyone can come to Point Pleasant. All beaches on St. Thomas are free, and in fact Point Pleasant advertises adjacent beaches as being theirs, such as Pineapple Beach. So as nice as it is to go to adjacent beaches, remember other beach-goers can also come to ... Read more

My husband and I spent five nights and four days at Point Pleasant Resort and loved the experience. Now, I want to start off by saying, if you are looking for a resort with fancy restaurants, nightly activities, etc., this is not the right place for you. My husband and I prefer privacy and time to ourselves on vacation, so Point Pleasant was perfect for us. We stayed in room D35, which is at the very, very hilltop point. It's a bit of a trek to get to the top of the hill, but the view from our ... Read more

What an amazing week! The location is perfect. The staff are so courteous and engaging. Free shuttles up & down the resort, which is needed on occasion since the resort is literally carved out of a cliff side. We did enjoy the challenge of walking off our meals. The waterside grill serves surprisingly good food. Our stay included a free breakfast which was a real made to order breakfast, not huge portions but big enough. We walked next door to the Margarita resort a couple of times. But... Read more

I just returned from an amazing trip to St. Thomas and had a fantastic experience with Point Pleasant. I was there with my best friend for a much needed girl's trip. We were welcomed in the lobby with rum punch before being taken to our beautiful villa. We stayed in one of the hilltop units and the view was absolutely spectacular. The stairs could be a problem if you have mobility issues although the shuttle service was always prompt so we never had an issue. Breakfast was included at the Shor... Read more

My husband and I went to St Thomas for our 15 year anniversary. We had such a wonderful experience at Point Pleasant Resort. The view was absolutely stunning from the wrap around deck. All of the employees were extremely friendly. The bar tender, Luis was amazing! His drinks were the best on the island and he made sure you were always taken care of. We didn't have to leave the property to have a great time! The food at Shoreline is tasty and the wait staff is wonderful. Slate will take v... Read more

- Great views -- stayed in the D building - Good beaches to walk (one was ~.7 miles) to - Quiet (mostly; an adjacent property seemed to have a large generator-sounding thing running 24/7 - Friendly staff - Speedy wifi - Shuttles around the resort were mostly convenient, but often frustratingly slow to arrive. Not staff's fault, just a big, steep property What I'd do differently: - I'd rent a car; I spent way too much on taxis - Do a bigger shopping trip at the grocery upon arrival; food onsite... Unit B-25...Many of these are all individually owned condos, mine was beautiful - so choose carefully. Each could be completely different in terms of location on the property, view, and finishes, although whole area is very nice, safe, and close to everything. Our unit had a king size bed that could be closed off to living space, the deck had a gorgeous view with wrap around, plenty of seating for our family of 5 (3 in their 20s). The bathroom had a gorgeous stone shower (indoors), and kitchen w... Read more
