We went on an all inclusive, it was my first time doing an all inclusive. Sugar Bay's food was very good, they gave at least 3 different restaurants you could eat at. Plus, by the pool & beach you could eat & drink all day. The only negative was that the cleaning people were very lacked in supplying hand & face cloths. By overall it was a nice place to stay. I'd go there again, & bring my whole family.

Had so much fun. Went on 2 tours and had very good time. Food was great so was the drinks. Will come backš???š??¾went to BVI tour and St John. The beach was so great never got tried of looking out at the water. This is easy to come to no one trying to sell anything. My room over looked the water. And the staff was nice to me.

We picked this place based on recent TripAdvisor reviews. The property descriptions were pretty accurate. The property is being updated, but there were no major issues. There were some minor inconveniences such as all of the ice machines have been taken out and have not been replaced. We found the descriptions of the staff and service much less than described. Other than the cook at the Pimentos Poolside Grill, the rest seemed to do the minimum required. For example at dinner we never got water... Read more

The resort was nice, the beach is almost.non-existant but the pool more then makes up for it. Some people are nice but most of them avoid you to not have to answer u or get you anything. I think it was going through a change in management so some of what they promised over the phone they didn't complete like all restaurants free and airport transfers. It was a nice vacation but you can definitely find a better place for the price you pay for this one.

This was our first time doing an all inclusive, and we love St. Thomas! The view was beautiful (we just got partial ocean view and it was still nice), service was wonderful with friendly staff (except one or two), and the drinks were delicious! Lots of things to do and a great pool area.

Super food and staff. Beautiful beach, pools, and views. We enjoyed the all inclusive package that saved us a lot in the extras such as free kayaks, snorkel gear, drinks, and food. We will definitely be back and are recommending Sugar Bay to our friends and family. Our trip was in May and there was not a huge crowd. We never had to wait for beach chairs, poolside , or meals.

I booked this resort for my Boyfriend and I, two days before we left my boyfriend was looking up reviews and started to scare me. This resort had some bad reviews saying it was under construction, and was just horrible. We arrived and were greated with RUM Punch!!! Which was delicious. Our room had been upgraded and we were escorted to our room. Our room was clean and had a spectacular view. We went down to the pool which was also clean, plenty of chairs and umbrellas. We booked an all-inclusive package for 5 days at this four-star, beach front hotel and were very happy with the service. The hotel staff was particularly friendly and were very helpful in suggesting places to visit on the island. We had booked a mountain view room but were pleasantly surprised that nearly all rooms have an ocean view. Upon checking in, we hit the three-pool area that was a very fun place. This photo was taken from the balcony of my room. While it has beautiful views the resort itself and rooms were lacking.... Upon arrival you notice that the shuttle that takes you from the parking area to the top of the hill to the resort is a little beat up. But it's not the end of the world so let's see what awaits up top. The rooms are at best 3star. I had already unpacked all of my belongings and was settled in before I noticed that the phone in the room didn't work. Can't call the front des... Read more

We're not sure if there is valet but the bellman parked our car for us in lower parking lot and escorted us to our room. Disappointed! Saint Thomas is beautiful with breathtaking views of the surrounding islands. This was my first time on this island. The resort itself is disgraceful. The rooms are beat up (there was no shower curtain for instance and only 3-4 coat hangers, old pillows, basic tv channels). In terms of the staff: I had a poor impression on them which is a reflection on their management. Staff does not seem motivated at all. The food was fine. Service very slim. Overall, I would give it a 2 stars.

My husband and I will forever be grateful to Abdel Azouari and his entire staff at Sugar Bay Resort for the incredible job they did to provide the ultimate in hospitality to our family and friends for our daughter's wedding in June. After reading MANY reviews of this resort we were a little apprehensive. Some of the reviews about conditions and cleanliness were, I believe, unfair and incorrect. Its not Disney World so don't expect it. Its and island not unlike the Bahamas.
