My husband and I arrived at Sugar Bay extremely excited and ready for our vacation. When we arrived we were met by the friendliest front desk staff, offering us cookies and rum punch. The General Manager, Ron Maidens personally handed out his card and introduced himself. We went to our room, which was beautiful with breathtaking views and unpacked. When we arrived to eat, there was an empty buffet and when the guest in front of me asked about the seafood that was advertised he was told ‚??to c... Read more

I had was a bit worried based on some of the reviews. However, this resort hit it out of the ball park. We had one of the nicest rooms we have ever stayed in throughout our travels in the Caribbean. From our balcony perched on a cliff, LED mirrors, fabulous views, fabulous food, friendly people, private beach (no pesky vendors) - this resort provided us with a restful holiday. Two thumbs up to room 343. I would also like to thank the resort for the fabulous spread they put on for New Years... Read more

To escape the unbearably cold Midwest winter, I decided to take a trip to one of my favorite places, St Thomas. I got the all included package which was a great deal. I stayed in a room with a breathtaking ocean view. The size of the room itself was large and comfortable - 2 beds and a large bathroom. Everything was spotless. The hotel pool sits under beautiful palm trees and makes for a relaxing swim, and the beach is only a short walk from the hotel. If you want to feel as relaxed as humanly p... Read more

We may have visited at an off season, but for being and all inclusive resort the entertainment was a bit lack luster. The rooms were clean, and beautiful. There were beautiful views of the ocean and surrounding islands from almost everywhere. The food was just okay, and the distance from anything was a bit annoying, you had to take a taxi to get anywhere. The pools were wonderful and the small beach was lovely. I would be willing to stay here again, during the peak season. The staff were very n... Read more

The al inclusive has great views and the staff at the resort are awesome only good things to say about them. Our room was clean and efficient. Down side to this resort is the food and liquor options. They served the same food day in day out and very quickly became boring. After the first day they ran out of any known name alcohol and was serving stuff I have never even heard of. Was very disappointed in this regard. The pool area is lovely but pool was very cold and very few people went in the w... Read more

Visited in March 2015. Liked it better here than the Bahamas. Great food available anytime. Liked that there were no dining restrictions as far as needing to have a reservation. Great service. Loved St. Thomas. Would love to go back!!! I would stay at this resort again.

Although I was there for business, we celebrated a lot with very pleasurable spirits. I really enjoyed myself and had a nice time. The food was great, the ocean view was greater. The resort was beautiful. Definitely hated being stung by bugs (mosquitos), they feasted on everyone. Overall, I'll return again.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at this resort. It had the amenities we liked, was clean and maintained, but not quite up to the standards of what I'm used to at a resort of this kind. Compared to most of what I have seen around the St Thomas island this is a pretty nice place. But it's not like what you see over on St John or even at the Wyndham Margaritaville down the street which is VERY nice. Front Desk - Check-in process went smoothly. Reception was lukewarm at best. Tried calling them m... Read more

We had an amazing trip. Everyone at the resort was so helpful. Waulene (spelling?) went above and beyond to give us every detailed answer for all of our questions. I was really disappointed that the lady at Pimentos had so many bad reviews. If you talk to her she will talk back and she is extremely friendly. The female bartender inside the restaurant by the pool was the absolute best. We couldn't stop tipping her. Ashma, Brittany, and Jermaine were also very fun bartenders. I thought they would ... My husband and I came here for our honeymoon. The staff was nice but they were always out of towels and didn't have a big selection of food. The ac went out for couple days and sleeping was a nightmare but they did bring a fan, didn't help. I think they should do a better job cleaning rooms I notice a lot of bugs and we killed them and they were still left on the floor after cleaning the rooms. Makes me wonder if they are actually cleaning or just making the bed and putting new towels. They don'... Read more
