Marriott Frenchman`s Reef will be repairing the boat dock. The dock will be closed until February 6, 2013. The Shopping Ferry will operate normal hours from the adjacent Frenchman`s Cove Dock. Scheduled return shuttle service will operate between Morning Star and Ocean Tower main lobby to the Frenchmans Cove Dock during the two month closure.

"I just got back from my stay at the Marriott 2 days ago. We had the all inclusive plan which was very nice to have but would have been better if they explained how it worked. We did ask when we checked in to have it explained to us but The lady at the front desk referred us over to the adventure desk which they told us they're not affiliated with the Marriott. We ate Cocoa Joes that night and had the Carribean Buffet and asked the server if this was part of the all inclusive and was told yes. We went back to the front desk after dinner to get more info about the AI and found out we already accrued surcharges. She asked us didn't you get the sheet for the AI plan when you checked in? But the manager was nice enough to remove it and that form did help. the room was very nice and clean and the staff was very friendly. But the second day my mom(senior citizen) fell in our room on the hard tile floor and had a swollen knee and went to front desk to see if they had a heat pack and was told no check the gift shop. Not is your mom ok or fill out a form to report injury. But can say the food was good and loved the Miami vice drinks. But the day after arriving home I felt sick and went to the doctors and had food poisoning. We only ate at the resort to be safe. I avoided going on cruise ship cause of people getting sick on them. maybe would of had better luck."

"My wife and I just recently traveled to St. Thomas 9/10/12 - 9/15/12 and stayed at the Marriott Frenchmans Reef resort and did the all-inclusive package. Although there were some miscommunications between BookIt and the Marriott as to what was included, both worked diligently to get the issues resolved. We had an amazing time at the resort and it was our first ever visit on the island. The wait staff was very attentive and didn't treat us any different since we were all-inclusive. A few of them took the time to offer us newlywed advice since they found out that we were on our honeymoon. I would definitely suggest going all-inclusive as food/drinks on the island are expensive. The resort had a great location w/ a small ferry ride downtown and a quick cab ride to Magen's Bay or Red Hook if we wanted to take the ferry to St. Johns. Looking forward to visiting again and we only plan on staying at the Marriott. "

"We booked the all inclusive plan & first off, they didn't explain anything at check in. We had to wait for our room to be ready when we didn't arrive until an hour after check in. When it was ready we were given our room keys & no explanation of how the AI plan worked at that resort. Our room was on the first floor which I wasn't happy about but the room was decent. When exiting the elevator it smelled horribly of mildew but the room was ok. The food was good, drinks were great. It would have been nice if we would have known that certain liquor was included & others were not & that there was a $15/person surcharge at certain restaurants. Didn't find this out until the night before we left. Luckily we didn't have any extra charges or I would be one very dissatisfied guest. The resort needs to step it up a bit on informing their guests!!"

"We stayed at a very lovely beach front room. The staff was very friendly, but not all so quick or efficient. We went to the first two hotels on the road - each staff told us that was our hotel - it was not until the third hotel that our room really was there - took over an hour to check in. Havana Blue & bars were fantastic. Hotel very beautiful, pools & beach pretty and well tended, maids and pool personnel were great / very helpful, caring. The price of the room at $500 / night total was too high for the noise and clear sounds of other guests partying next door to us our last night, on hotel beach. I would return / recommend here if it goes on a deep discount sale, my wife would not as she did not like being kept awake by screaming / yelling / party music the last night & the hotel did nothing to stop it when we called that we saw (in her words 'too much money to go to a frat boy party when I want to relax'). If you do not mind some nights loud you will love it here 100%. Loved 80%, hated 20% (and the 20% was unfortunately the last day, last memory). A shame."

"Hotel had fantastic views. Rooms were clean. Maid service great. Only complaint was we had family members staying also for my sons wedding and my sister was not booked close to us. She was upgraded to a closer room, and the staff was accomidating. Food at hotel was pricey, Luckily my sons fiancee family lives in St. Thomas and reccomended a great restaurant in town called Cuzzins. Highly reccomended. Pool area great. Would stay there again."
