We went to point pleasant between apr 20 and 25 with my 1 year old son. Compared to other resorts nearby, point pleasant offers the best price and spacious rooms. The resort is very frank about its own beach, which is small. However, it offers free shuttle service to nearby attractions. 5 mins to coki beach, which is perfect for snorkeling. 10 mins to red hook, where we found good food and grocery stores. We ended up going to coki beach and snorkeled there everyday. The waiting for shuttle was... Read more

My siblings and I took our mom for a late mothers day trip during the week of May 16th. We booked a two-bedroom, two-bathroom suite with a full bed pull out couch in the living room. There were six people in total, including an adorable infant; we stayed for 6 days and 5 nights. Here‚??s our experience. The bad: My bed quilt had what looked like an old bloodstain in the middle center of the sheet. Mold on the shower curtain in master bathroom left a pungent odor. Called maintenance and it wa... Great location! Keep in mind that units and individually owned. We rented directly from the owner and loved our location. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Steep and hilly location so probably not great for those mobility issues. They do offer golf cart rides around resort. Beach is small but very private.

Our condo was a mass of glass walls high up on a hill so we had spectacular views from the 50 ft deck!!! Watch out for Iguanas :0). Three pools, very clean, a bar on the water with good music. the water is warm and the color is aqua. Great location.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful and wonderfully unique. It is made up of individually owned (and thus individually decorated and maintained) villas, 3 pools all in different locations, an ocean-side restaurant/bar, a fitness and yoga center, and a centrally located reception area. There is also a small beach area, but we really didn‚??t spend any time there as we enjoyed venturing off to other beaches. We stayed in room D16 and it was amazing. This place has it all. The views of the bay and the surrounding islands are spectacular. They offer transportation to the nearby beaches and Red Hook, so there is no need to rent a car. For the life of me I can not understand how this is rated number one Hotel in St Thomas. Then again, St Thomas is not that great of a place, so this may be a factor. I rated it poor, because even as an apartment complex it is not that great. It is mildly run down and extremely difficult to get around the complex. The term "resort" needs to be taken out of the name. There is actually nothing about Point Pleasant that makes it a Resort. One extremely small restaurant on the water with plastic lawn... Read more

I must first admit I am a bit of a hotel snob....I don't stay in anything less than a 4 star hotel in the States. So with that being said, we booked at Point Pleasant because it was the #1 hotel in St Thomas with 4.5 star rating here on TA. This rating confuses me considering this resort is rated higher than the Ritz and Marriott properties. This place is a 3 star hotel all day long on the mainland. The Shoreline restaurant however, here's a lot of help. They constantly run out of food (and it is really simple food) and beware of the steaks. I spent a 40th birthday trip at the Point Pleasant Resort and I cannot wait to go back. The views are incredible, the rooms are fantastic, but the staff is beyond description. It was our first visit to the island and we were swept away by their amazing service. Every recommendation they gave us was spot-on and we truly felt like extended family. The restaurant/bar has amazing food and drinks and you get a great local feel. Forget the other "named" resorts! Point Pleasant is the greatest. A... Read more

We were not sure what to expect, but from the moment we arrived we knew we had made a good decision. Check-in was efficient and welcoming. Danny took us to our Suite, helped us settle in and answered all our questions. Throughout our stay he provided excellent service. After sixteen hours of travel, we ate dinner our first night at the Shoreline Grill. Todd helped us ease into vacation mode with personal service - great cocktails and fresh fish. We woke up the next morning to incredible vie... Read more

Took my family (6) to St Thomas for my 35th (Coral) anniversary. it was a decent vacation and ultimately there were some fun times (away from the resort), but the problems that we had with the travel and accommodations left everyone with very negative opinions. i guess our first mistake was booking through Expedia. They provide lots of good information for evaluating all the resorts and flights, but any discount that we got from Point Pleasant through Expedia was offset by the substandard rooms ... Read more

The staff was very friendly. I would like to thank the staff and the shuttle driver for returning my canon camera I left, so honest, I never found out who returned my camera to say very much appreciated. Malone the Shuttle driver from the resort was very helpful and nice as well he brought us back and forth a few times. The Pools were very clean. The views from the condo were just amazing. The stairs were a little treacherous going anywhere just walk carefully , I really liked the resort and ... Read more

After reading all the good reviews of Point Pleasant, I figured I would give them a shot. Pros: The best view for the money you can get on St Thomas. The room size is larger than average. The hotel staff is friendly. Room has a kitchenette so you can cook your own food at home if you want. Cons: Our room is dated, which wouldn't be much of a problem if it at least had a nice bed. These are privately owned and it appears to be hit or miss. B15 has the most uncomfortable bed I have slept ... Read more

Hi, first time to St Thomas and we were there for a week.We did not rent a car, anywhere we wanted to go we got a shuttle provided at Point Pleasant or got on the safari taxi ,it cost a$1 to get on basically anywhere and get off by pushing the button (usually above your head).Beaches are beautiful...we went to Sugar Bay right next to hotel and there is a private spot down on beach makes you feel all alone.Sapphire beach and Linquist beach were beautiful too.Coki beach is nice but more crowded.The... Good Morning! I wanted to reach out and express my extreme gratitude for all of the employees at Point Pleasant. We arrived last Monday afternoon after originally having reservations at the Marriott for our honeymoon. Upon arriving I was so disappointed w/ the room, view, staff, ect. that I demanded my money back. Being 1600 miles from home w/ nowhere to stay, I called Point Pleasant in desperation. We were offered 1 of 3 available rooms for an unbelievable rate. I asked reservations to choos... Read more

We spent the second half of our week here at Point Pleasant Resort. We had a gorgeous view of the water from our balcony. I was afraid the roofs from the other buildings would clutter the view, but that was not the case at all. The cottage was updated and very clean. We have no complaints and would definitely stay here again!

Initially we were not at all happy with our room as it was not maintained well. The bathroom was very outdated and poorly maintained. But the staff were very accommodating and moved us to another room which was beautiful. It was a drastic difference from the room which we were put up in. This room was nicely updated. The views from the rooms are stunning. Beautiful ocean views. The staff is very nice and helpful. Especially Lydia in the reception area gave us great ideas and options for us to ... Read more

We stayed in villa B24 for a week and had a wonderful trip! One wall of the villa was glass, and we looked out at St. John, Hatch Island, and Tortola, as well as beautiful sunrises. Because it was halfway down the hillside, we had to walk up to the desk and down to the beaches and bar or call the front desk for a ride (we generally chose to walk). Free shuttles are provided to Coki and Lindquist beaches and to Red Hook, where you catch the ferry to St. John and find restaurants and bars. The... Read more

I would of rated this a 5 but not to happy with the condition of the bathroom. They could of cleaned it better before we got there. The hotel is on a hill so you have some walking to do. But there are stairs you can use. The view from our room was breath taking. The people working there were all very nice and helpful. They have shuttles service that can take you around the resort and surrounding areas like the ferry in red hook that you can take to St. John. The shuttle buses are always on t... Read more
