We went to point pleasant between apr 20 and 25 with my 1 year old son. Compared to other resorts nearby, point pleasant offers the best price and spacious rooms. The resort is very frank about its own beach, which is small. However, it offers free shuttle service to nearby attractions. 5 mins to coki beach, which is perfect for snorkeling. 10 mins to red hook, where we found good food and grocery stores. We ended up going to coki beach and snorkeled there everyday. The waiting for shuttle was... Read more

My siblings and I took our mom for a late mothers day trip during the week of May 16th. We booked a two-bedroom, two-bathroom suite with a full bed pull out couch in the living room. There were six people in total, including an adorable infant; we stayed for 6 days and 5 nights. Here‚??s our experience. The bad: My bed quilt had what looked like an old bloodstain in the middle center of the sheet. Mold on the shower curtain in master bathroom left a pungent odor. Called maintenance and it wa... Great location! Keep in mind that units and individually owned. We rented directly from the owner and loved our location. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Steep and hilly location so probably not great for those mobility issues. They do offer golf cart rides around resort. Beach is small but very private.

Our condo was a mass of glass walls high up on a hill so we had spectacular views from the 50 ft deck!!! Watch out for Iguanas :0). Three pools, very clean, a bar on the water with good music. the water is warm and the color is aqua. Great location.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful and wonderfully unique. It is made up of individually owned (and thus individually decorated and maintained) villas, 3 pools all in different locations, an ocean-side restaurant/bar, a fitness and yoga center, and a centrally located reception area. There is also a small beach area, but we really didn‚??t spend any time there as we enjoyed venturing off to other beaches. We stayed in room D16 and it was amazing. We just spent a week at Point Pleasant. We had a 2 bedroom/ 2 bathroom unit high on the hill. This gave us plenty of room to spread out for a family of 4. The unit was updated and had breathtaking views of St John and the British VI's. We felt very comfortable and safe the entire time. The staff was so welcoming from the front desk to the drivers, Charlie & Willie, to the maintenance workers and the wonderful servers and cooks at Shoreline Bar & Grille. Point pleasant was like a home in paradise! I can close my eyes and still see the amazing views! Everything you need including great free breakfast, free shuttle, beach, and pools. Thank you Anthony for going above and beyond to meet our every need! Willie and Troy you not only shuttled us everywhere you gave us great tips on what to do and where to eat. We actually adopted you as our family for 1 week. I will be back soon!

This place has it all. The views of the bay and the surrounding islands are spectacular. They offer transportation to the nearby beaches and Red Hook, so there is no need to rent a car. The restaurant onsite, the Shoreline Bar and Grille, has great food and great drinks. We ate there often. The best part about the place is the staff. They offer some great recommendations for things to see and do, and they help with the booking process.as well. We especially liked Luis and Slate. They wor... Read more

For the life of me I can not understand how this is rated number one Hotel in St Thomas. Then again, St Thomas is not that great of a place, so this may be a factor. I rated it poor, because even as an apartment complex it is not that great. It is mildly run down and extremely difficult to get around the complex. The term "resort" needs to be taken out of the name. There is actually nothing about Point Pleasant that makes it a Resort. One extremely small restaurant on the water with plastic lawn... Read more

The reason we booked our stay at Point Pleasant was because of all the great reviews about the resort. And now that I have actually stayed there, I can honestly say the same. This resort is tucked away on the best part of the island. I can see the sun rise with my morning coffee and sit on my balcony in the afternoons with cool breezes and a cold cocktail! The staff are the most pleasant people I have ever come across. Carishma was my favorite! She sent me at least 3 emails before our trip answ... Read more

I must first admit I am a bit of a hotel snob....I don't stay in anything less than a 4 star hotel in the States. So with that being said, we booked at Point Pleasant because it was the #1 hotel in St Thomas with 4.5 star rating here on TA. This rating confuses me considering this resort is rated higher than the Ritz and Marriott properties. This place is a 3 star hotel all day long on the mainland. Our check-in process was excellent, Luis and Slate made us feel very welcome and treated us to a... Read more

Our one bedroom flat was at the top of the hill D-18. We had awesome views and privacy. The last Sunday every month they have a pool party all afternoon. We had a great time there. The Shoreline restaurant however, here's a lot of help. They constantly run out of food (and it is really simple food) and beware of the steaks. Our medium and medium-rare steaks were so overcooked, the fire company could have been called. They were crispy (not in a good way); but I must add that they did not ma... Read more

Everyone here was truly wonderful, helpful and made me feel at home. This was incredible especially being a solo female traveler who had several frozen cocktails. They have a free shuttle service which is awesome and all of the drivers are so warm. My suite was relaxing and felt like a home away from home. I almost cried when I left. Would be awesome for all travelers, especially those who like to cook in the suite. They'll even shuttle you to get groceries.

We over-nighted in D35 prior to a sailing charter out of Red Hook. The view from the property was pretty special(especially the sunrise in the morning), but the unit(D35) we were given was run down, worn, and dated. Badly in need of refurbishing. The Shoreline Grill was in a great location(right on the water), and the food/drinks were in line with what you would expect. The resort is built on a steep hill, so plan for that when booking. We have stayed at Point Pleasant in several of the privately owned condos. I can attest that D11, D14, and D16 are all great rooms with updated amenities. D11 and D14 are perfect for families as they have more room inside and the bedrooms can be closed off from the main part of the condo, but D16 is also great for up to 4 people.
