"The resort was definitely not what I expected. I called before I arrived they told me that it was a $50 room deposit. I get there and its really $100. Not to mention everything that I purchase while on the resort was 'authorized' on the credit card that I used for the deposit. This was an big inconvenience for me. So essentially I was paying for everything twice. The rooms do not have carpet but concrete/tile floors. This was a HUGE change for me. The TV worked but all the channels either were fuzzy or did not have picture only sound. The biggest plus they have here are the non-motorized sports that come with your stay. They are fun and the gift shop has tourist activities. One employee was great and genuinely wanted me to enjoy my time there. Steve is the best bartender I have had in a longtime @ the Lobster Grille bar. The food they have to offer is good but if you want more seafood MIMS just a little further down the beach has an amazing view and good seafood. The room was clean but they are well used so they don't look as clean as they might me. The resort is about 10-15 min from town and about 20 minutes from the airport."

"I will start off by saying that if you're high maintenance then move on.

I however am not because I view hotel rooms as a place to store my stuff, sleep and shower only. The rooms were not fancy, very basic which fits us well.
I love how the beach was a few steps away. We used a few days to spend around the city but after that I had no problems hangin around the resort and lounging on the beach. We did the all inclusive which was great to not have to worry about constantly paying for meal after meal and drink after drink.
Staff is really friendly and willing to recommend anything from what to drink and where to go.
St Thomas is a beautiful place and when I return I will be staying at Bolongo Bay!

"This was our first visit and we booked the all-inclusive plan for 6 nights and 7 days. Though this isn't five-star accommodations, the staff certainly treat you as such.

When you check in, you receive a weekly/monthly planner of all the activities. I would definitely recommend going on the sunset catamaran cruise - it was amazing! And guests who swam with the turtles at Buck Island were also impressed.

The owners had a 'Meet the Managers' party for guests to mingle and familiarize themselves with the staff. We met the owners there, but more appreciated the fact that they are on site and interact with guests to make sure they are enjoying their stay. We met guests who have being returning
for 7 years.

The grounds were well maintained, room was clean and the bed was VERY comfortable. Though there are only two restaurants, the options were adequate. The food at Lobster Grille is very good - my husband commented it was the best lobster he's ever had. Iggy's Beach Bar is more casual dining and offers fun nightly entertainment.

The beach is nice, but I would recommend aqua shoes for the water because it is a bit rocky.

If you snorkel, Coque Beach at Coral World has the clearest water and it's a $8 cab ride. The most beautiful view was of Megans Bay at Mountaintop (which also has the best banana Daiquiri ;)

We enjoyed out stay at Bolongo Bay Beach Resort and will certainly go again.
