My husband and I have stayed at The Palms before and it is a great choice for St. Croix. We always come here because of the great location, (close to Christiansted and easy roads to the east side or north side of the island), the fabulous view, easy access and just a few steps from the beach, great friendly staff and large rooms for lounging or having friends around. But don't miss "Caribbean Night" at the bar/restaurant with live Reggae Music, fire dancers and MokoJumbies! A fun and fabulous... Read more

I stayed at the Palms for a 4 night stay over MLK weekend. I'm a single Mom with three kids. The beautiful ocean front beach is literally steps away from your room. But what makes the Palms for me is the extraordinary customer service and amazing restaurant near both the beach and the pool. The staff are spot-on to make sure your every need is attended to. The restaurant menu changes daily; which works for this family! Gorgeous property, amazing staff, great customer service. Absolutely Heave... Read more

The Palms is a place to relax. An older resort that doesn't have all of the frills of an 'All-Inclusive' but what it lacks in frills, it makes up in quiet, and lack of crowds. Our deluxe room was on the second floor over looking the Caribbean and a short 30 yards from the beach. It was nice, nothing bad, nothing great. It was clean and the AC worked, All of the food was good but as with all things on the Island, patience is required. The highlight of the resort is the beach, the Reef 5... Read more

Beautiful room- this is right on the beach in STX. Dinner at the restaurant was delicious. It was New Years Eve but so quiet and relaxed. Very clean room! A very large pool and light music playef through dinner.

Yes- there are 2 nicer resorts on STX- at HUNDREDS of dollars more per night. The Palms is right on the water- nice beach, nice pool, nice bar, ok restaurant. Monday night has dinner & a Caribbean show - not great but fun. The Christmas winds made snorkeling a bust (bottom sand all stirred up) but drifting off to sleep with the roar of the surf made up for it. The staff couldn't have been nicer or more welcoming. If chilling out on your private and well-shaded patio (ours faced the ocean), stro... Read more

This property sits in front of the beach. We went in Dec, which was particularly stormy. Perhaps during other times of the year the beach is calmer, we only swam in it once. The pool is really lovely. Overall a great vacation at a reasonable cost. We used the hotel's taxi driver for everything-Maurice and he was so sweet and helpful! It costs about $10 from the hotel to the downtown, and about $25 from the airport to the hotel.

Loved staying here. First time I ever travelled as a single female, and everything about The Palms made me comfortable. Eating dinner in the bar most nights was a real plus..exactly what i needed: A casual friendly bar scene with reasonably priced food, and a good beer selection. i had the caesar salad with Mahi Mahi a lot. My only quibble with my room is that there were no screens on the sliding doors to my porch. I LOVE fresh air flowing thru but when the breeze was low, the mosquitos we... Read more

Didn't visit the restaurant but the rooms are okay. Kind of outdated & could use a little renovation. Bed was comfy & the sound of the waves were soothing. My room was on the second floor, the chairs on the balcony could use updating as well.

Everyone from the housekeeping staff to the maintenance staff to the admin staff upfront is kind, friendly, and truly appreciative of your being a guest. I travel to St. Croix one week out of every month for business. If I were unable to get a room here I would cancel the whole trip. My job requires that I spend a week each month in St. Croix. Tried a number of hotels, definitely stay away from the downtown area. Last hotel I stayed in downtown had to literally step over passed out crackheads to... Read more
