We are so fortunate to be able to return to the Palms every winter for a recharge of spirit and energy. There are really no words to describe the welcoming and accommodating owner, caring management and accommodating staff. They will go to all ends to make sure your vacation is all you dream it will be and more. There were many gestures and services that go above and beyond what one should expect from a resort. The restaurant located near the cove with its diving pelicans and softly lapping wave... Read more

I can't say enough great things about this hotel. I've been treated like family since I arrived. I was introduced to (Chuck) the owner as I was checking in and he gave me a personal tour of the hotel. I was informed of a night snorkel where Chuck personally takes out hotel guests. He invited us over us over to his place and we had a few drinks and I got to know a couple of the other people that were going out with us. They provide gear and all you have to bring is yourself. The tour was awesome... Read more

My wife and I stayed "The Palms" at Pelican Cove for five days and loved it. We found the rooms, restaurant, bar, pool, beach, grounds and location to be among the better which we have experienced in our Caribbean travels. Additionally, the staff is extremely helpful and friendly. In sum, we found this to be an outstanding bargain and would not hesitate to return in the future.

If the close view of the Caribbean Sea and being right on the water is of interest to you, stay here. Their closest competitors cannot offer or compare to this location. And, location IS a big deal. Some may be a little more plush, but we have stayed here 3 times, so it is obvious that we love being so close to the water. Stepping off our patio, you are in the sand and only a few yards away from the water. Due to the reef area along this location, beautiful waves are crashing in all the tim... Read more

My second stay at The Palms and although have visited/quenched thirst at several other hotels around the entire island, the proprietor, Chuck Fischer and his second mate, Pepper give this charming and serene refuge the level of warmth and service that makes staying here so very special. Along with Tom, Mitch, Sierra, Karen, Pat, Mark, RahGene, Chervon, Raisah, Liz and Roland....whew....I know there's probably still a few more names and I'll remember your faces when I return surely, I simply wo... We stayed at this hotel in May 2016 and This was our first time in the Caribbean. This place truly is wonderful. The view is amazing, hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. It is not top of the line resort so if that's what you're looking for, you're probably not going to be completely satisfied. With that said, the rooms were clean and very specious, everything we needed was provided immediately. You can't beat having morning coffee and being few feet away from the beach. My wife and I stayed here May 21 thru May 28, 2016. I selected the property based on Tripadvisor previews and was not disappointed. The resort is very nice and clean, is at least 40 years old and could use some minor updates. But with that said, I would certainly rebook at a later date. Their beach is nice! Some resorts in the area have a rocky cliff for a beach - The Palms have sand and a reef to snorkel. The restaurant and bar have spectacular views of the ocean. Christiansted is about ... Read more

I stayed there at the pelican for 6 nights and it was the most tranquil place ever! I paid for a garden view thinking that is what I was going to get, but little did I know I get a beautiful view of the plant life and the Caribbean Sea!!!! I couldnt of asked for more. The staff is on top of everything you need. My first night there my phone wasn't picking up Internet in my room so I called the next day. 10 minutes later I got a call saying the antenna had been changed and I had no issue after. T... Not sure where to start exactly, except to say that every aspect of our stay was absolutely amazing. Chuck, the owner, was so friendly and nice. All of the staff, was like family and treated us so nicely. The property is beautiful, well-maintained, & the pool and Beach are amazing. The restaurant at the hotel is five star food at three star prices. All in all, one of our favorite places that we have ever stayed. It's definitely not a five-star resort, but you will find out that it is worth every... Read more

The best part of our stay was the guided snorkeling tour of the reef with hotel managing director Chuck. We were only expecting to be led to the nice part of the beach for snorkeling, but Chuck went above and beyond in finding some sea creatures for us to hold while he took pictures, finding us the perfectly fitting gear, and taking pictures underwater. As if that weren't nice enough, he presented us with a CD with all our pictures, and also added in some nicely labeled photos of other denizens ... Read more

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff greeted us and treated us as friends and pretty much let us set our own course. If you just want to get away and and be comfortable in a low pressure but comfortable surroundings, this this the place. The owner Chuck even took me out snorkeling to the reef. All staff, especially Eileen at breakfast and grounds keepers Kendrick and his father Norbert where lovely as well. Will definitely be back. Thanks everyone for a wonderfully relaxing time

I loved this property upon entry. The owner, Chuck, shook hand firmly and welcomed us on premises, asking what he could do to make our stay better. The staff is great -- awesome start. The room is 15 steps from one of the most gorgeous beaches ever. Fabulous. Long Reef is practically snorkel-able from your patio, which is an irreplaceable asset. The views of Christiansted and the north shore of Croix are mesmerizing. The only issue we had with this hotel was the mosquito infestation. Maybe this ... Read more

The beach location is peaceful and well landscaped...once we found it tucked into a neighborhood- no GPS nor helpful directions. Night one presented a closed restaurant for a high school prom complete with revving engines and squealing tires. After that, the raggae music was the only loud distraction. Sand and water areas tough to walk in without "wet shoes". Room included huge bed, small refrigerator, plenty of bathroom space, and a small table area. Two strikes on coffee machines as well . Stayed here for 4 nights during a recent fishing trip to St Croix. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The beach is a great place to hang out with lounge chairs provided. There is a pool on site, but I didn't utilize it. The room was fantastic, had a beachfront view. Lounge chairs are provided on the private balcony. Highly recommend the place, I would stay here again.

There were fresh flowers in a vase and an offer for a free small bottle of island rum and coke. The air conditioner was perfect with no problems and the shower always had hot water available. The staff is hit or miss with professionalism and courtesy. We were given incorrect info by several different people, and there were too many 'I don't knows' without follow up. The bar 'manager' kept dropping 'F' bombs, even with minors within earshot, the one night we chose to sit at the bar. Housekeeping came by daily, but if you didn't have the 'do not disturb' sign up, they literally knocked once, then entered before you could reach the door. The restaurant food was okay but overpriced. Pat and Karen at the front desk were very friendly and helpful, and their taxi driver, Maurice, was fantastic and came back to pick me up when he took me into town. Property and location is beautiful, but don't expect much from the hotel. The hotel room was nice, very basic with AC. Plan to eat outside the hotel, the food is not only terrible, they serve you on "island time". Everything takes forever. They do have snorkel gear and beach towels but cross your fingers to get one, During the four days we were there, the snorkel gear was not washed. Its a good value hotel if you are not interested in amenities.

We stayed for a week in two rooms. A family vacation. Wow. We all enjoyed everything. The rooms (14 & 15) had priceless views, were very comfortable, and the cleaning staff keep them very clean. We enjoyed eating at the restaurant, and of course had a few at the bar. Eat and drink with the sound of the surf. The entire Palms staff were wonderful. They all go above and beyond. I stayed at the Palms at Pelican Cove a few months ago and enjoyed the hotel. I upgraded to an ocean facing room. Well, it was better than that.
