This was our second time staying at the Buccaneer. We had a wonderful time. The resort is great. The staff is great. The food is wonderful. Special shout out to the director of tennis, Neal Cassidy. He was so helpful and fun! We will definitely make a return visit!

We stayed for a week to unwind in an island we had not visited. We found The Buccaneer to be an inviting resort. The staff is quite friendly and helpful. The grounds are very large with 340 acres to roam. They make you feel Welcome with a welcome party to start off your stay. We rented a car...... Which I would advise to see the island and experience the many restaurants. Even though the resort is older it has an older country club feel. A full Breakfast is included.

My friend lives in St. Croix and took us here for lunch, (though we weren't staying at the property.) It is ABSOLUTELY BREATHTAKINGLY GORGEOUS. It was so nice, that out of the week I stayed, we ended up coming here 3 times just to hang out. The beach is amazing, the staff is friendly and the food is superb (especially that mango guava cheesecake OMG.) I told him, the next time I come to St. Croix, I know IMMEDIATELY where I'm booking a room. Cannot wait!

This resort oozes luxury and pampering all wrapped up in a beautiful historical setting (built on an old sugar cane plantation). The staff goes above and beyond to meet guest needs. Set on a hillside, many of the rooms and the primary restaurant have a panoramic vista of the Caribbean, tennis courts and the beach area. Staff will drive guests up/down the hill to the beach. There are also guest rooms at the beach level. Kayaks, SUPs, and snorkeling gear are available for guest use, with a gr... Read more

The Buccaneer has what you need for a wonderful break from winter. Comfortable rooms, great food especially at breakfast and dinner, and many activities including tennis, golf, and water sports on the lovely beaches. It is a family run resort, and many guests have been coming back for decades.

My wife and I just returned from our 4th trip to St. Croix and our third stay at the Buccaneer. This resort is exemplary. The views are breathtaking, rooms are well appointed and comfortable (do spring for the Deluxe Oceanfront room, and thank me later), and the staff is unfailingly smiling and friendly. We had delicious meals at both the Terrace (the more fine dining restaurant) and the more casual Mermaid right on the beach. It isn't cheap but you definitely get what you pay for. My highe... Stayed here for a work related conference, the conference facilities were more than adequate. The rooms were private with beautiful views. Not ultra modern, but certainly top notch for the islands. The staff was always helpful and arranged several excursions. Dinner restaurant was very good, and beach side bar/food was very convenient. Lots of activities from tether ball, corn hole to kayaking and golf.

Having traveled all over the world for the past 50 years with my husband, a retired TWA Captain, we obviously "Saved The Best For Last!" Our week at The Buccaneer was perfect! The Buccaneer Hotel has a charming, old world, classic style but with modern amenities. The hotel sits on 350 beautiful & meticulously cared for rolling acres overlooking the Caribbean Sea. The thoughtful & very attentive Buccaneer Hotel management upgraded us to an ocean front room were we found fresh flowers and a compli... Read more

My wife and I returned for a second visit to St. Croix, and naturally chose the Buccaneer again. It was everything we remembered, and that was all wonderful. The staff was extremely helpful. Heather and Vianca at the concierge desk helped before we even arrived, and continued to be helpful throughout the visit. We enjoyed a wonderful couples massage in our room and it was a fabulous start to a relaxing visit. We practically melted into the floor after their skillful massage. We don't golf,... Read more

We arrived at the cruise port and drove a rental car around the island looking for a good beach. We pull into the the Buccaneer on a whim and were glad we did. The beach is beautiful, the restaurant is great and the staff very friendly. A great day.
