We our day in St. Croix at Sand Castle after reading reviews trying to find a quiet, clean beach. It met our expectations... Staff was kind and helpful, drinks were a bit pricey but tasted very good. They have chairs and umbrellas available to rent at $25 for 3 chairs and one umbrella. I personally was not a fan of the bucket of water to cleanse your sandy feet, but I get a bit weird about feet. Maybe need to relax on my part. The swimming was lovely if you used a safe entrance to the water. I ... Read more

Great bar, friendly bartender. For a small fee you can get a lounge chair for the beach. The beach is nice but sketchy to get into the water. The restaurant lunch was great. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. Very friendly staff all around! Would go again.

We spent the day here while on the island. The beach was great with helpful staff who helped us get set up with umbrella and lounge chairs. The Pain Killers from the bar are the best I've had in the carribean. The shrimp and Grits are to die for!! I still can almost taste them.

This is our third year here and it gets better every year. The service is fantastic, the rooms are stunning, the restaurant is amazing, the beach front is glorious. Irma, who handles guest interactions, is the sweetest person. She's so kind and professional and it is always a pleasure to speak with and see her.

This gem of a hotel/resort is quietly a bit of heaven on earth. You won't find it to be flashy, noisy, or annoying. Just wonderful. The food is excellent. Staff are always happy to help. The beach faces west which not only guarantees daily post-card sunsets, but is the sheltered side of the island, so the waves are small and the warm water delivers an experience like no other.

It was amazing and cannot wait to return. Was only there for 4 days and look forward to spending a week. There is a beachfront cafe with a good menu for lunch and dinner and a delicious Sunday brunch. The staff was friendly and helpful. I cannot recommend it enough.

Besides the great beach, snorkeling, sunning, warm Caribbean water and often incredible sunsets, what also draws us back to Sand Castle are the wonderful, personable, and interesting hotel staff: Irma and Verna at the front desk, housekeeping staff: Monica W, Monica M, Cally, Novena, Patricia, and others. They all treat you like family members and are so willing to share information about St Croix, and themselves. And to help try to make your stay enjoyable. This was our longest stay - 15 day... Absolutely the best value, 5 dollars per person and you have access to the pool, shower and restroom. Not only do they give you a towel to use, but there is also a fantastic cafe/bar attached. We went twice during our visit to St. Croix, the snorkeling is excellent. If you don't have your own snorkel and mask, you can rent. The locals are super nice, we met some really nice people.

We spent a day here off our cruise ship and it was the most relaxing day of our vacation. We walked from the port both ways and enjoyed it. No one bothered us or tried to sell us anything! In fact, it was Good Friday and there were very few people even out and about. It was a great way to spend the day. The beach was beautiful and un-crowded and the water was clear and calm. All the employees we encountered were very friendly. There was SO MUCH SEAGLASS. It really relaxed me looking for and pick... Read more

Stayed in the villa, it was great. The restaurant food was amazing, and the people who work at the resort were kind and helpful. Would recommend this resort to anyone that is going to St. Croix. The rooms were always cleaned daily, and the resort was nicely kept. Our dive group had an awesome time.

I booked my room based on the hotel's website's indication of the location of the room on the grounds. It was the most expensive room they have (Dolphin Suite), and the location map showed a free standing structure with the beach in front of it and to the right of the structure. In reality, in front of it is the bar and patio area of a different hotel, and on the other side is a parking lot with the side of the neighboring hotel facing it. RIP OFF. MISREPRESENTATION. They offered to move us, ... Read more

The staff is very nice and helpful. The location is great, I loved the beach was right out back, and the beach is very nice. Great sand and great for snorkeling. I went about 50 ft out and could still see the bottom which was about 30 ft down. The view at sundown were amazing. The rooms were great. I would suggest getting a suite while there.

What a treasure! Excellent food, relaxed atmosphere. I have traveled to Sand Castle many, many times over the years. This place never disappoints! Friendly people, and great culture! The snorkeling from the beach at Sand Castle is among the best on the Island!

Wow, crab burger. Sounds odd but tastes great. Good French fries. Great location right on water close to a very nice beach. Staff were very friendly and attentive. This is on the top of our food list if we visit st crioz again. We only went to the restaurant.

We had one bedroom suite with balcony in this hotel and we really did enjoy our holiday here. There was a basic kitchen with all necessary things for cooking. Pool was very small but who needs pool when you have this great beach just next to the hotel?! We loved walking on the beach and you can actually walk almost to the pier just following the beach. Normally there was under 10 people on the whole beach but once a week there is a cruise ship in Frederiksted and then the beach is crowded. The r... Read more
