I stayed for 4 nights, had a great experience with this hotel in a business trip. Excellent location, just behind a mall. The small store in the lobby is good, but missed water in the room. Highly rexommended.

We stayed at Hilton Garden Inn for 2 nights in mid-May 2016. This hotel is located in a business park several miles from the city center and is attached to a high-end, luxury shopping mall. Staff friendly and helpful; all spoke good English. All facilities new, clean and properly maintained. There are two excellent, high end restaurants -- "Baca" (beef) and "Panini" (Italian) -- within short walking distance of the hotels. Front desk arranged excellent quality city tour and visit to historic... Read more

Bar and restaurant VERY average. Room very good. Hotel located perfectly for doing business in the World Trade Center Montevideo. Very limited TV options in English. Convenient for shopping since it's connected to a major shopping mall.

We used this hotel December 30, 2015. We wished we had stayed there all our time in Montevideo (we used other hotels). - Great quality and service (good English spoken) - Large rooms (compared to typical Montevideo hotels) - Great breakfast buffet and good cappuccinos - Excellent garage (typical hotel garages in Montevideo are small and difficult to use). This is the best hotel garage we have used so far.

This hotel is fairly new and is a very cool place to stay while in Montevideo. It has a very nice restaurant and bar as well as a very cozy pool area. There is also a fitness center for guest use. The hotel is in walking distance to the famous Montevideo sign and a couple beaches, I would definitely stay here again! Pablo at the front desk helped me greatly in finding a Montevideo tour...thank you!!!

The hotel is pretty new, well located. It has a very nice front desk team and the room is very nice but the hotel have infrastructure problems that you need to be aware. I was at the 6th floor and the bad odor coming from the bathroom is just awful. Don't take me wrong the bathroom was very clean but due to lack of ventilation a bad odor came from the tabulation. The restaurant is nice and the food is good but the staff didn't receive a proper training, they were nice and cordial but you need t... Read more

My wife won a price for a weekend stay at the hotel. We have traveled all over the world for business and pleasure and stayed in all types of hotels and resorts. We went to this one with few expectations and we were dazzled. The service is incredible in all the areas of the hotel (lobby, restaurant, amenities). They were friendly, nice, responsive and all what you would expect from an outstanding staff. We even had an inconvenient and an unusual request and both times the promptly answer and act... There is always someone there, and guards, so you have a lot of confidence in a place like this. If you happen to not speak Spanish or Portuguese, don't worry, all of the front desk and restaurant people can speak to you in English. The front desk is extremely top-notch in their professionalism and helpfulness, and will give you great directions if you want some advice on things to see, and places to eat. My room was big, which I liked, and because it's Hilton, I didn't have to get a power-outl... Read more

Located in a fairly nice part of Montevideo and connected by passageway to a modern shopping mall. Rooms were okay, had a bit of a sewer gas problem with ours, covering the floor vent helped. The staff are extremely nice and friendly, but not much yup to date on Honors perks. No big deal until I got charged for breakfast, which should have been included. Have no idea if room was an upgrade or not, but it was fine. Thermostat worked great. Seemed to be fairly safe near the mall, but only a ... Read more

Perfectly located, this hotel offers whatever you need when traveling on business, together with a really comfortable bed, wonderful pillows and gourmet cuisine at affordable pricing. Close to the beautiful Montevideo Rambla, within one the most vibrant business and shopping districts,at walking distance of where the city's nights vibrate, and still cosy enough to work, read or have a quiet meeting. You can come along or bring your partner. Both will enjoy.

Brand new hotel with the perfect location right beside the mall in the heart of the World Trade Center and near several good restaurants. The staff is great, restaurant above average and the wifi works great all over the location. Good for family or business trips.

I am a loyal, faithful Hilton Diamond member. Hilton Garden Inn Montevideo was part of a family vacation celebrating my daughter's birthday. I have mixed feelings about the hotel. Some very exceptional experiences and some - not so terrific. The staff at the front desk during check in was fantastic and did a lovely job. They offered, but I declined a suite upgrade because I wanted two regular beds for this trip. The room and the view were terrific. Fast forward to a late night dinner (... Read more

I am a Hilton loyalist and I had an 8 night stay in Montevideo. When I saw there was a Hilton Garden Inn I jumped at it. I was arriving late at night, a little after midnight. There was someone there to open the door and check-in was seamless. I had a room on the 4th floor. I'm assuming it was an upgrade with my Diamond status since it was a suite. There was a large seating area with desk, couch, chair, TV and then the king bedroom with TV. The bathroom had 2 sinks and I loved the shower. It... Read more

We spent out last two days in South America in Montevideo. Picked this place because of HHonors membership even though T-A rating were not so high. Boy are they wrong - This is a very nice new hotel. We arrived and were able to check in early, and they offered a HHonors late check out so we could enjoy almost two full days in Uruguay. Easy Ubers<$10 to and from the city sights - an a <1km short walk to a nearby harbor and beach.

Superb hotel recently inaugurated in an excellent location. Right next to the Montevideo Shopping Center (no need to leave the hotel, you walk directly in). If on business, you're walking distance from World Trade Center. Views of the bay and Yacht Club are inspiring. Rates are very good. In-house Restaurant needs some management. Food is good, attention is weak. Front desk are very helpful but slow. Avoid peak times such as checking out at 10; you could expect queuing. Very recommendable.

In town for work and the Hilton is directly across from the WTC site. Beyond being convenient though, the staff has proven to be exceptionally friendly and many of them speak English well which has been useful. There is a pool, restaurant, and access to the local mall here. Will absolutely stay here again next time I am in town.

This is a new hotel in Montevideo, extremely nice. Rooms are very nice, but a little small. Anyway, we want them just to sleep.. The breakfast is very good. You can get your eggs as you like them, or get some well done... Extremely clean and well kept, with first rate doors, smart TV, bed, linens, etc. Hotel personnel at the counter are extremely nice and educated. We shall return soon. There is no need to spend more on a hotel. You can get to the upscale mall through a passage. There are many r... Read more

Very new hotel in a convenient location: next to Shopping Montevideo and the rambla. The room was excellent and nice; but there was a problem in the bathroom with the hot-cold water mixer. Nice gym, although a bit basic. The service at the restaurante was too slow and not very attentive. Good experience but could be improved with some service adjustments.

I typically stay at another brand, but I was very pleased with my experience at this new property. The staff were pleasant and eager to ensure my stay met my needs. The bed was comfortable and the WiFi bandwidth was sufficient. I'll stay there again on my next visit with no hesitation.

This is a new hotel and it was my first visit to it. I have used the Hilton Hotels in Europe before so I had a high expectation and I was not disappointed. No problem with an early check in and a 12.00 check out time is excellent. Great layout if you are meeting clients at the hotel. A shopping mall and the business centre is all right there. I will definitely use it again. One suggestion I gave them that I hope they take on board is that the TV has no English News Channels that I could find ie ... Read more

The hotel is okay, the rooms are a very decent size and have all of the required amenities. A few observations so far, no bottle of complimentary water in the room after the first night, the room had been cleaned but the toilet was missed altogether, I asked for the minibar to be stocked and was told that there is a small shop in reception where I could choose items and add to the bill. Got upgraded to an amazing corner suite as a Hilton gold! But due to some serious storms I had to change room when the wind striked straight in to the corner of the suite and water started dripping in the Windows! However the staff made a excellent job by offering me another suite but I didn't feel comfortable with the storms coming from that way so decided to take a standard room away from the wind instead! No problem, I was given a room directly and didn't even have to go down to the reception... Read more

The hotel is clearly relatively new - the entire building was modern and clean. The location didn't seem particularly optimal at booking but actually turned out fine. The hotel is immediately surrounded by several guarded office towers so security is high and the area felt quite safe. It's walking distance to numerous restaurants on and around Av. Dr. Luis Alberto de Herrera, and the Ramblas further down the street, and it's linked directly to the Montevideo Shopping mall. Plus, while the ho... Read more

I first reviewed this hotel when it had just opened. It had been opened for less than 2 weeks. I gave it a decent review but did say the staff needed to improve to make it a good hotel and to carry the Hilton brand. This week was my 4th visit in the last year and I've held of reviewing each stay thinking things would improve. Sadly not. Not only have the staff got worse but everything else has too. The building finishes are starting to look shabby. The shower doors won't close as they have slipp... Read more
