Stayed at this hotel for three nights, ate in the restaurant and the bar during my stay. It appears to me that the rooms seem to have been refurbished relatively recently. My room was quite small - nowhere to put my bag other than the floor or the bed while I unpacked, slightly odd open wardrobe space, only a shower and no bath. Shower was fine albeit that the water temperature varied from time to time. Bed was quite hard and would benefit from a mattress topper just to take the edge off it.... Read more

Good standard of room. Staff and food excellent. Some rooms are a bit of a hike but are normally quite. Breakfast is very good but could start a bit earlier for business guests. That said a take away is available. Good parking and pleasant grounds.

Where to begin.............. My niece got married here last weekend it was a big family celebration, a lot of guests arrived Friday PM. I can honestly say the management and staff provided the most excellent service to every guest. Without exception all our party which was quite large commented that everything was perfect, fantastic bedrooms, nice bar perfect service in every respect. On the wedding day we were so lucky to have good weather so we were able to take advantage of the beautiful gard... Read more

Stayed overnight for a wedding. Arrived at the bar for pre-wedding drinks. There was a lonesome young lady struggling to cope with the arrival of copious numbers of guests. After 10minutes of waiting I went in search of back-up staff. This had obviously not been given any thought. Our daytime numbers were over 100! There was absolutely no structure to the rest of the wedding day. After a pretty disastrous wedding ceremony whereas the mature lady Registrar spoke in whispers, got the grooms name wro... Read more

lovely hotel, good mix of ,historical and traditional with the modern annex tucked at the back. my only main gripe - business or pleasure, was the breakfast. overall lovely choices and more than willing and helpful staff. however majority of food held in bainmarie's - and as we all know, if you are a 'late' eater/riser then bacon becomes tough as old boots and most choices will lose any semblance of heat - so i have to say whilst the hotel was excellent [they can't be blamed for our inconside... Recently stayed at this Hotel overnight with a wedding party. The pictures on the website don't do the Hotel any justice at all, the place is lovely, just sets the scene for a wedding, everything from the grounds to the reception room. The bedroom was a decent size with a great power shower, nice comfy bed, all the essentials and everything was really clean. Not the best view from the window but suppose you canā??t have everything. The staff at the hotel was great and couldn't help enough, I ha... Read more

We had a family meal for my Mums 70th birthday, we were in the Wightwick dinning suite. The room was spacious, air conditioned, light and comfortable. There was a Cd player for choice of music and also a TV that were told we could bring an games console for or to display a presentation etc. We were attended to by our own waitress, she was attentive and polite and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was a fixed menu, I had battered mushrooms which was a swap as I didn't like anything... Read more

Although I live nearby, I do not go to the Mount very often as it has an appalling reputation for bad service. Within in 10 minutes I was once again a victim. The one bar was packed and went to another. Although there was only one person in front of me it still took 10 minutes the get served. When you are in the most expensive hotel in Wolverhampton you expect better. The staff are badly trained and unenthusiastic. Later on one of my friends wives phoned up the hotel with an emergency, the sta... Read more

The hotel is wonderful and all the staff were excellent, very good service. The food was outstandingly good , there was plenty of it and everyone enjoyed it. The rooms were very ,very good and absolutely spotlessly clean, really comfortable. Our family celebration for the wedding blessing of my son and his wife, held in the Great Hall was amazing. We had very good service from Becky and the Events team.

3/4th stay here this year, hotel reception is getting a little date but the bar area rooms are very good. Rooms are large with a good TV excellent shower ( a must for me ) iron and board delivered to your room on request. Bar area is good and the food is excellent. I had a fillet steak which was cooked to perfection with a spicy pepper sauce. Breakfast is self serve with a good choice and decent coffe.

I couldn't praise The amount up enough!! My sister and I booked a room prior to the big day and had a table booked for a three course meal which ended up being four as we had a small appetiser off The Mount. The room was beautiful and clean and could not be faultered in any way. We had room service which was prompt and served with a professional manner. 13 of us went for my wife's mothers 80 birthday. We all had very impressive lunch with several extremely nicely cooked and delicious rib eye steaks. The decor was impressive and the staff most pleasant and courteous. The only real gripe was the bar service. There were also 2 wedding parties in attendance but only one girl working the bar with a waiting time of20-30 minutes for drinks. This is very poor and surely could have been better organised; as well as being crassly incompetent and irritati... Read more

Wow what a hotel, the building itself is a memory on its own, We were welcomed by a gentleman on the front desk who was so friendly, helpful and polite, he was lovely. The rooms were lovely, so clean and fresh, the bathroom was so well maintianed. We even had dinner in the champagne lounge which was nice too. A beautiful place for a wedding.

I have been visiting the Mount off and on now for the best part of 50 years, and have always found a friendly welcome from the staff. I stayed overnight of 2nd 3rd July, my room this time was in the courtyard, a modern recently refurbished room, spacious and with excellent services. I booked dinner as I registered, there was a good menu with varied choices. What a lovely property. we were welcomed by Adrian and Danielle at the reception who swiftly registered us and informed us that the Holiday Inn had told them about our relocation to this hotel. What a lovely surprise to find nice and airy room, with a modern bathroom. We needed these as check-in was after 14:00 hrs and the service at the church was at 12:30 hrs and... Read more

Just returned from daughters Wedding reception, catered for very well, service good, many thanks to danni and becky for their attentive efforts. The hotel has a historic ambience, well worth concideration. Recommend the court yard accommodation, check out the main barman, who mixes up the cocktails! Always has a smile. Had a one night stay. Beautiful hotel. The room and bathroom was modern. The only issue was the room was so hot it was an unbearable nights sleep!! And intolerable to be in there full stop!! There was no air con or fan in the room and on speaking to the girl at reception as we left she said that it was because it is an old building and to be expected!! Bizarrely there is air con in the reception and hall ways!! It spoiled what would have been a lovely stay and as a consequence we wouldn't stay t... Read more

I stayed at the mount hotel in July with my partner who was staying on business... First of all when arriving, the poor receptionist was completely rushed off her feet. From experience in staying in many hotels on business, I understand that arriving between 4pm and 6pm is usually peak time for check in, however I was absolutely flabbergasted that she was the ONLY receptionist I saw that evening with no support from other staff whatsoever. A good hotel. I had a ground floor room in the new end and it was clean and comfortable. The bar was very friendly and accommodating. A lack of a good beer was sorted by a nice pale ale. Dinner in the restaurant was good with a cod and other fishy main course that was accompanied by cauliflower cheese. Breakfast was on a buffet and the disappointing bit was lack of egg.
