Very welcoming , I arrived late no fuss made. Clean room and quiet . The only criticism is that the rooms are a bit dated and at £59 per night your looking at Travelodge money who seem to have caught up with the 21st century. Maybe a tad unfair as I have no real complaint.

Very clean, just painted no frills but no problem hotel. Don't be put off by it being on the M3 , couldn't hear the motorway at all. We arrived late but we welcomed by reception, got free parking at the services.

All nice and clean , freshly painted and had terrible smell of paint. Had to sleep with the window open all night. Staff very friendly though and comfortable bed. Heating very efficient and everything worked as it should.

Spacious freshly painted room with a comfortable bed, TV, tea/coffee making facilities, free WiFi. Had a good night's sleep after a long drive down. Couldn't have asked for more for £45, will definitely stay again if in the area.

Stayed the night here before cruise out of Southampton the following days. Basic, clean and newly painted. Beds comfortable - no frills, but perfectly adequate. Restaurants limited to those in service station, but tea/coffee available in the room. Would recommend for airport of port is you are looking for basic, but comfortable hotel.

Just woken up from a really relaxing nights sleep at this location. Can't fault it for £59 - free parking, wifi, couple of shops nearby and one of the comfiest beds I've slept in. It's quiet as well, there's a m&s food and a wh smiths, Burger King within a minutes walk. Really good location. Never stayed at a days inn before but impressed with what we paid for it, helpful receptionist too.

I can't fault our stay at this hotel, perfect location if you're travelling south. Not ideal if you are visiting Winchester itself because you have to travel all the way to Basingstoke on the M3 before driving south towards Winchester before you can get into this Days Inn. However, despite being just off the M3, I had a fantastic nights sleep and didn't hear the traffic. Everything I needed was there, tea/coffee, fresh towels, clean bedding and extremely friendly and helpful staff. Wouldn't h... Read more

Stayed here last week for two nights for a conference. Warm welcome by reception staff, who went out of their way to ensure we found the room suitable to adequately accommodate my friend's dogs. Rooms were basic but very clean. Despite location being close to M3, it was quiet enough to sleep well even with window open. Well worth the price, and dog-friendly too. Would definitely book again.

It looks a bit scruffy outside, but inside is clean and welcoming, nice receptionist, good sized bright room on the first floor, comfortable bed?and all for £39 per night! Great for stopping off on the M3; not that convenient for getting into Winchester for sightseeing, but overall a good experience.

Stayed here overnight as my Mrs and I had an early morning track day. This is the first time I've stayed in a Services hotel so wasn't expecting much but was actually quite surprised. Service is brilliant. Staff are really friendly and a credit to the hotel. Bed is big and comfortable and the room was a decent size and quiet. Only downside was the TV. Couldn't plug our laptop in to the HDMI so had to watch Freeview. Also is that the guy from Game of Thrones all over the leaflets and posters??

In our room, the washbasin had a few small cracks, the footboard of the bed was hanging off, one bedside lamp was missing a shade and the bedside chair fabric was shabby. The room was spacious and the layout and fittings well designed. The building had good safety features and the windows and the door had security stays. It was a good value and we had a comfortable stay.

I didn't expect much but was impressed. Nice rooms, towel and soaps provided in bathroom. Hairdryer and iron in the room. Free wifi and TV. Also free parking for hotel guests as long as you sign in your car on check in. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms very clean and very quiet given its motorway location. Only downside was my bed was a bit lopsided - mattress had definitely been well used! Still had a relatively decent nights sleep though.

Stopped overnight @ hotel received a warm &cheerful greeting from the lady @ reception ,easy quick &simple process . Room ok comfortable &clean . Only food @ the services was burger king ,if we had gone into town , then on the way back we would of @ to go towards london on the m3 off @ the next exist then over the m3 &back towards winchester bit of a do . But overall not a bad stop off .

Compaired to other days inn establishments i have stayed in this hotel was outdated, and well overdue a make over to bring it up to date. 1. The reception did not have a fridge so the bottle of water you get as part of your wynedum pack was as warm as the external temp of 32'C. 2. The whole hotel smelt musky. 3. The room decore and fittings with the exception of the TV & Kettle, looked like a throw back from the 80's.

I thought the hotel was in a very bad Location... it is Ok if you are on your way to somewhere, (Southampton) but if you are stopping for a few days or more, the Taxi fair into to Winchester Ciry is £30.00. but the Taxi back is £52.00 as they need to all the way back to the Basingstoke turn off, to get back onto the M3. The hotel was basic. the beds were not safe, I needed someone to hold onto mine as it kept rolling away. The shower room, needed a good scrub, there was mould on the grouting.... Read more

I was looking for a cheap overnight room for the south cost. Premier Inn seems to be very expensive these days. Hotel was fine, nothing exceptional but good value for money. Faster wi fi than Premier Inn. The only thing that might be an issue for some was that because its in the services the only food option was Costa and I think BK. Not an issue for me because I dont enjoy eating on my own when I'm travelling

Arrived at the ungodly hour of 1.30am! Staff were lovely and helpful. Our rooms were very clean, basic, but then we weren't looking for a luxury hotel experience. Beds were ever so comfy and we slept well - no noise from the M3. Breakfast was brought to our room - plenty to eat - yoghurt, cereal and then croissant - seemed a little stale.. this was my only disappointment. Would definitely use again to break up a long journey south.

What a treat. We had a great welcome at reception most entertaining. The room was very comfortable, but of exceptional note was the bed. The mattress was probably one of the best and merits a 110% Otherwise, the staff couldn't do enough to help.

Room was clean, tidy and quiet but there were several niggling points, the bedside table next to my bed was missing so I had to put stuff on the floor which would have been ok if the beds hadn't been so high, leaning out to check the time on my watch was risky, there was no light next to my bed and one of the bulbs in the bathroom wasn't working. The cold water tap at the sink dripped continually and couldn't be turned off. The shower didn't maintain a steady temperature so it was either too hot ... Read more

Maybe there is a trick to get there more easily through some access road when North bound but I had to loop up to the next exit and and back down which was a little tiresome. Stayed here as part of a package deal with Peppa pig world; rooms comfortable enough and we got something to eat at the services. Breakfast is UHT stuff in a box, not great but if you're in a hurry might save you having to pick something up elsewhere.

This is a very well designed site, and the hotel is handy and quiet. The staff are lovely. But oh dear, the bathroom! A badly cracked and even worse repaired sink, a tap that won't turn off, a very unpleasant shower curtain, no heated towel rail and an extractor that sounds like Easyjet leaving for Malaga. The room is spacious and comfortable, but not clean. There were sticky puddles on the bedside tables, a teabag bizarrely on top of the mirror, a plastic fork and another teabag under the TV an... Made such a nice change, to the usual grumpy receptionists we've encountered, in the past, so, well done for that. I just needed somewhere to sleep near Winchester. It was clean and a comfortable bed but pillows a bit firm for me. Good shower and very good wifi. The young man on the check in desk was very helpful and pleasant and helped my friend log on to the wifi. Can only be accessed from south bound side of the motorway so may involve a detour to get there. Food available at the motorway services. Good value.

We stayed here on a Peppa Pig World break as this was the cheapest hotel available for the buy 1 get 1 day free at the park offer. I was a little bit worried about staying here after reading some of the reviews and considered booking a more expensive hotel but decided to book here as it was considerably cheaper. I shouldn't have worried. The room was nice, clean & warm and served its purpose. I would definitely stay here again.

After booking this hotel last minute at 7:30pm I drove to Winchester town centre arriving at 8pm, the gps said I still had 22 miles or 36 minutes still to drive before I reached Days Inn Winchester!! It was 8pm I'd been driving all day so I called the hotel and asked for a refund as I believed it was located in Winchester. Because the booking had only been made 30 minutes prior I thought they'd be kind enough to offer a complete refund. I was told the manager would call me when she comes in ne... Read more

I have slight mobility issues and asked for a ground floor room which was no problem. The young man who checked us in was efficient and very helpful. Because my wife & I travel with our two dogs, it is important to be able to stay overnight where dogs are welcome. Days Inn at Welcome Break are very good for this. The bedrooms are very comfortable and therefore a good nights rest is guaranteed We have found if there is a problem with any of the facilities, ie:- a jammed tap, the an alternative room can usually be found, & therefore the problem is solved I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Days Inn to my friends

Shame their is no bar or restaurant but you can get most things over at the services. Its ok. Friendly lady booked us in, I paid using a debit card having booked on line. I asked where we should go for the breakfast, she said to the Costa or McDonalds (part of the service station area). We then couldn't get our key to open the door so I went back and she seemed to do it straight away (it was a little stiff and we hadn't been brave enough to twist hard enough for fear of breaking the key). We sent emails and made phone calls which weren't answered. We wanted to know if we could access the motel from the North bound service area. We found out for ourselves that we need to add 20 miles to our journey to do a "U" turn. We were very tired having just landed, late at Portsmouth on the Santander ferry. The receptionist advised that the computers were down and she hasn't access to emails. However no explanation for why the phone rang out.

As expected from this type of motel. Convenient location for Winchester, Southampton etc which is good value, basic but clean and friendly staff. The main problem with places like this is dining: if motorway service station food is your thing then it's all good, if you are looking for something healthier, better quality, then be prepared to jump in the car. Expectations were at the right level, so no problems.

We booked this hotel on the basis that it was 4miles from winchester for a cheap night out. While this is strictly speaking true, for the taxi firms to collect you they have to go all the way up the motorway and turn around at the next junction. Consequently a one way jorney into winchester from 4 miles away at 4 in the afternoon cost £30, needless to say the Taxi back was considerably more. The most expencive 4 miles I have ever travelled. Very basic motel but comfortable and clean. The big issue is its only accessible south bound on the M3, that makes it 23 miles from Winchester- this is NOT a local hotel for this beautiful old town. There are no restaurant facilities but a coffee shop in an adjacent retail unit. Fine for a pit-stop but only if you are travelling south
